Basically in As we fall one of the guys was hurt by a war that was happening in Ionia and his lover tried to help him taking him to a place that was known about being holy and cure people, but that was a rule to never dive into the well but they did it anyway. In this place it was sealed one of the darkins that are basically some ancient demons and his name is "Varus", by diving into that Varus took their bodies merching into one and releasing him.
Kinda sad you guys ended both videos before they were over, often league videos have a little extra scene after the league of legends logo shows up in the end, keep that in mind if you're gonna do more reactions like this, love to hear your thoughts on league videos, cinematics or other league ones, anyhow, thanks for making these.
As we fall is the middle part of the hq for the champion varus, basically the 2 guys where hunters and lovers, the noxus invade ionia, they fight (then as we fall starts with one dying), varus is a darkin (such a big story by itself) that were trapped in the bottom of the pit, they consumed both guys and mixed them in 1 body (now we basically have 3 souls in a body, and both humans fight for the control of the body with varus ). The hq is very good you should read when you have time (even if was not for the channel). Keep the reactions, you guys are amazing.
@@alexstone1763 I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not but yeh, they're lovers, riot already released a comic about it if you haven't checked it out yet... (just making sure, lol)
As We Fall is a bit confusing without context. Short version is that imprisoned in the well was a darkin, an evil sentient weapons that can possess humans, called Varus. When Valmar and Kai entered the well, in an attempt to heal Kai's mortal wound, Varus attempted to possess them and in the process fused the three of them. Typically this fusion results in the darkin completely supplanting the will of its host, but together Valmar and Kai are strong enough to resist Varus' will and are able to maintain some degree of control over it and their now shared body.
10:28 they didn't come from different worlds, but from different worldviews. One of them wants to fight Noxus, the other just wants to stay out of it iirc. That's why it portrays one killing people and the other one hunting.
@TheJerbol I dont think it's so much that he couldn't conceive of it. It's just nearly unheard of in games and especially promotional material for games to include non-heterosexual male relationships. It's not weird for the first instinct to be to look for other explanations.
The red wookie is Ornn, God of the Forge. The few scenes where he is making a sword is significant because Ornn hasn’t forged a weapons in over a thousand years. The making of a weapon is a sign that war is coming. The ice place is Freljord. The lady on the boar (Bristle) is Sejuani. She is leading her small group of warriors (including Olaf, the dude who head butt the ice) against the Ursine (the polar bear dudes). Sejuani is part of a much larger group, but they are scattered into many smaller groups to make survival easier (less mouths to feed logic). The Ursine are followers of a god named Volibear (The bear in the clouds). The Ursine are men who can transform into bears and use lightning because they worship Volibear. They stole a cauldron from Ornn that allows any mortal to go a year without food if they drink from it. (Ornn and Volibear are brothers, but they don’t like eachother). The Ursine stole the cauldron because Volibear believes it makes men weak. (Man needs to be fighting constantly to stay strong logic). The desert area is a region of Shurima. Taliyah (the earthbending lady) and Kai’sa (purple girl) have teamed up recently to fight the Xer’sai (small(er) tunneling monsters from the Void). The Xer’sai are children of the big creature, Rek’sai. In the end, Kai’sa sacrifices herself (not in a dying way but like a freedom way) by leading Rek’sai back to the void while Taliyah seals the tunnel. Taliyah is all about protecting people and Kai’sa is all about fighting void monsters. Kai’sa’s suit is actually a living creature that created a symbiotic relationship with Kai’sa (think venom). Kai’sa was a normal human girl, but she got trapped in the void at a young age and had to fight for survival while miraculously keeping her hair, skin, and makeup beautiful. The spartan is Pantheon but also has the human name Atreus. (I’m a bit iffy on this side of the lore). Pantheon is a man that was possessed/gained the power of the aspect of war, but the aspect of war died and gave Pantheon his humanity back (or something like that). He is climbing Mount Targon which is like a magical mountain that the celestials and aspects (basically gods) reside. Few mortals are able to reach the top of Mount Targon. Those that do are granted great power. (Reason pantheon god the power of the aspect of war.) The men he encounters by the portal are the solari. They are men who worship the sun. Pantheon drives his spear into the ground because he does not have any quarrel with humans. Pantheon hates the celestials and aspects which is why he is ascending the mountain to fight them. He beats the shit out of the men, but he doesn’t kill them because his fight is with the aspects. The gold lady, Leona appears from the portal to fight Pantheon. (The look he gives her is him being glad he’s finally found the opponent he’s been looking for). Leona is the aspect of the sun and leader of the solari. During the fight, Pantheon is blasted by a giant laser, which is theorized to be a falling star from a being named Aurelion Sol. He is a giant space that created the universe and likely the final boss opponent for Pantheon. The final bit of Pantheon’s part of the video, he is using his god powers to jump back to the top of the mountain which is his ultimate in the game where he can jump halfway across the map and come crashing down on his enemies. If there is anything I missed or got wrong I’m sure there will be replies correcting me.
Quick corrections on Pantheon's story: 1. Atreus used to be a part of the same tribe as the gold lady Leona (Solari, or Children of the Sun) before war struck his settlement. He and his friend decided that they would climb Mount Targon together to try and get the strength to fight back the invaders. As they climbed though, the friend sacrifices himself so Atreus can reach the peak. 2. When Atreus reached the peak he met with the aspect of war: Pantheon. Overjoyed, he asked for the power to defend his town. However, Pantheon only wanted to see Atreus so he could possess him. So for hundreds of years, Atreus was trapped in his own body while Pantheon went on a murder spree. Eventually though, Pantheon met his match. 3. Pantheon died when a Darkin named Aatrox ran his sword through him. The dark enchantment of the blade killed the aspect, but miraculously Atreus survived. This is why he has a massive scar on his chest, and also why it's on full display at all times. It's a medal of honor for him, saying he survived what even a god couldn't. 4. The reason he has a quarrel against the aspects (essentially gods) is because of his experience. He was betrayed by one of the very beings he worshipped, and he watched the other aspects ignore mankind in favor of fighting for dominance. So he aims to free mankind from the false promises of false gods. 5. While Atreus does retain a few godly powers, (such as his ability to launch into space and crash down,) he is still very mortal. For example, while shooting into the sky, he claims he can feel every ounce of his skin burning up, but he does not die. Resilient, but not immune. Yet he still does it because he wants to turn not only the aspect's powers against them, but he wants to show that a "mere mortal" can match them (and even beat them) in anything, even combat. Also he still does it bc he's badass.
@@thesaltdragon He is from tribes of the Rakkor (Solari and Lunari religious orders originate from this tribe) but everything you said is on point. I also want to mention that when an Aspect dies, the whole existence of the element that they represent cease to exist, so when the aspect of the war died, his constellation were erased from the skies. Atreus survived as we know and stumbled his way into Rakkor territory. He recovered and he was reinvigorated to keep fighting, finding pride in being a mortal human being instead of a god. Then he learned that Aatrox was leading a barbarian invasion to his village/ territory. When Atreus reached the site of battle, Aatrox saw the lack of power flowing through his spear and the scar which seared into both his shield and his body. Despite Aatrox's advantages, Atreus fought him, invigorated by the cries of the people around him. Just before he was about to be defeated, Atreus struck Aatrox's sword arm, detaching the Darkin from its host. This act brought back Pantheon's constellation into the sky and Atreus made a vow to be the shield to protect all mortals against those that wanted that destroy them. Forsaking his name, he instead took the mantle of the Pantheon, the Aspect of War. Many people think that he is not an aspect anymore and that he is completely mortal, but that is not true. He is the mortal Aspect of the war (league of legends bio). In time, he learned to embrace the power of his own mortality, and the stubborn resilience that goes along with it. Atreus now opposes the divine as Pantheon reborn, his unbreakable will fueling the fallen Aspect’s weapons on the field of battle.
I need to clarify that Atreus on this clip is after his new story. So this Atreus already lost his power and his will of fight cuz viego. He claimed he had no more Pantheon power inside of him. So his dead friend wife told him about solari abuse and he went back to Targon to face them. All this without his powers. In a certain point between his story and this cinematic he is able to regain some of his power back until this moment when he as Atreus and not as Pantheon can ult back to action. And now he finally stands up as Atreus/panth again. He is the first man or aspect to climb 2 times the mount of Targon
"Kai’sa was a normal human girl, but she got trapped in the void at a young age and had to fight for survival while miraculously keeping her hair, skin, and makeup beautiful."💀💀💀💀
@@AppleBaron He's a Bear and a God, he's not "Bad" like the great bad guy to beat off, but a pasionate entity (haha and maybe i'm not objective, he's my main)
3:02 seriously? No one is gonna talk about how epic was they reaction at this part? This give me goosebumps for the second time and how I identify myself when I watched it for the first time Love your videos about League. Keepon guys ❤️
In As we fall, they are definitely lovers. The spirit is one of the earliest corrupted ascendants, they are sealed within weapons and needs a human host. It is called a Darkin. This Darkin (Varus) is sealed at the bottom of the well in a bow, Aatrox is sealed in a sword, Kayn is sealed in a scythe. Between the three currently known Darkins, (I'm not sure if I'm forgetting someone) Aatrox seems to be the strongest, since Aatrox is the only one who seems to have fully swallowed the personality of its host.
As a follow up to the Call I strongly recommend you to watch "All That Will Ever Be | Bel'Veth Cinematic" The Arcane visuals are meant to create a brand new unique style that is only created and associated with Riot so far (trademark). It can be your cup of tea but is certainly not the best graphics possible. But it definetly works, brings the characters alive and sucks you into the story. The Call cinematic has certainly the best graphics Riot has produced so far and comes very close to life action graphics in terms of realness but this style is aimed by many companies and doesn't stand out unlike Arcane.
there's a short comic kind of a prologue for as we fall and an epilogue. They also have a lot of biographies, interactive map, comics, novels, etc. Check out Annie origins and curse of the sad mummy next!
Spartan & Pudgey: watch a full season with 5 or 6 characters from LOL. Don't fully empathize with the characters or understand/are convinced by their motivations. Also Spartan & Pudgey: watch a 3 min long music video. Already understand all the characters and feel invested in their stories which they don't know. 🤣🤣 It's a joke, don't take it badly. I'm happy that you are interested in any aspect of the lore.
Ornn (big red heimerdinger) a very ancient demigod smith in the background, would rarely forge a weapon. But when he does, something big is gonna happen.
The Call: There are four stories happening at the same time. First of there is the Red Ram thingy - thats Ornn. He is Freljord god of crafts forging a blade. This is unusual as he hasnt forged a weapon in over 8000 years. Second story is that of the Freljordians (Vikings). The white-haired women is Sejuani - she is the leader of one of the three major Freljordian tribes - the Winter Claw. The other prominent viking is Olaf - a berseker who has been prophecised to die old in bed which would be shameful so he is ever looking for a battle that would end him. They are fighting the Ursine - followers of another Freljordian god Volibear (God of Lightning, War, the original primal way of living). The siluette in the clouds is him. Then there is the story of Kaisa and Taliyah in the desert. They are attacked by the spawn of Rek'Sai, one of the most dangerous void creatures and eventually Rek'Sai herself (the massive beast). Since they cant defeat it, Kaisa goes back to the Void through the tunnel to lead it away. (Kaisa is quite familiar with void as she got caught in it while young and the "armour" she wears is actually a symbiotic void creature which forms her second skin). Lastly there is Atreus. He was once the unwilling vessel of the Aspect of War Pantheon but the aspect got killed freeing the mortal man Atreus but leaving him behind with "godly" powers. He protects ordinary people from powerful beings especially other Aspects whome he detests for toying with mortals. (You can see that when he fights the ordinary soldiers he beats them with his fists and shield but for Leona - the Aspect of Sun he takes a spear.) Eventually he is shot by a Paddle Star thrown by the Aspect of Twilight Zoe and thrown down from the mountain. There are some details that could be mentioned but for the sake of keeping this relatively short this is the gist of the Call. I wont go into details with As we fall since a lot of it is quite complex lore but its about two lovers who go to a sacred well in their village hoping to heal the injury. They fall in and discover that there is a Darkin sealed there (for the sake of argument lets say its a sort of powerful evil being as explaining this would take ages - not a demon tho) who merges with them into a single body. (Though technically he is the bow).
Great reaction as always hope u keep them coming ^^. As for the last video u reacted to ("as we fall") is definitly confusing to say the least if u dont know the story behind so i will try to simplify it for u in case u r intrested in knowing more :p. So the story is about two hunters who r lovers (they r both guys btw spartan xD) who lived in a village where there was a mysterious cave that people used its magic for healing purposes but they were warned never to go in there. But as one of the two hunters was dying they dared to go there to save him, but the thing they didnt know is that this cave was sealing one of the malefic being called the Darkins. So when they got in the darkin said that he couldnt heal the injured hunter because he was beyond healing but he proposed to merge his soul into the other ones body, a proposition that the dying hunter refused but the other one accepted (i think this seen is illustrated by the darkin trying to take an arrow from one of the hunter and him trying to stop him from doing so). But the darkin instead of merging them both he decided to merge himself too with them wich created this knew being called Varus and unleached the darkin once again. I didnt want to get into more details to not confuse u since u r knew to this :p but the darkins have their own origin story. Hope my comment was helpful ^^
In the first video "the call", the one who look like Heimendinger is Orn. He is one of the gods the freiljord and vowed to never make any weapons in again after seeing how much destruction they can cause during the war with the watchers. The only time he was making a weapon it was a time for great calamity. In this short, he made a weapon in the game called "Infinity Edge". The bears they were fighting is a clan the stole a something he made and und used his brother Volibear's (also a god) powers
The two lovers from as we fall released 1 of 5 evils called Darkin that was sealed away but they had no choice because one of the lovers was dying and thos was their last hope. The darkin that was released is named varus and he possessed the dying lovers body but fused with the two lovers consciousness and Varus is always held back by the two guys because he is pure evil but whats keeping him at bay is the love the two guys have . So it's a constant battle in varus because there are 3 people in one. Hope this makes sense
So in As we fall we witness the 2 guys seeking refuge and help from a bloodwell if i recall correctly, which is a source of healing magic, however trapped within was the Darkin Varus, a Eternal war-spirit trapped within theyr own weapon, for example Aatrox and Raast are 2 more darkin. They posess the body of the Wielder and battle over controll till the lifeforce of one is sucked dry.
I would argue that the video "Popstars" from KDA is good because its unique, the animation is on point and its fairly popular. Also it has some really iconic characters like Akali, Ahri and Kaisa. Weirdly, because its good music for the genre, it brought a lot of league and kpop communities together in a wierd way and that has been interesting.
The "as we fall" cinematic is about how one of the two hunters ends up severely injured and his friend/lover brings him to a cave where nobody can die in, except that he misunderstood the meaning. Instead of the cave not letting people die inside, it has a corrupted demigod called a Darkin inside. All of the known Darkins are trapped inside weapons and they can fight for control of somebody's body if they are close to the Darkin. The one inside the cave is called Varus and he is stuck inside his bow. Because the injured hunter dies inside the cave, Varus was able to take over his body and has enough power to take over the body of the other hunter. Unless the host is strong, the Darkin always takes full control. There is one known case of the Darkin not taking control and that is a champion called Kayn. Kayn uses a scythe with a Darkin inside called Rhaast and they fight for the body. In game, you can choose to let either Kayn or Rhaast take control of the body and both forms have different buffs. If Kayn wins, the champion becomes an assassin. If Rhaast wins, the champion can heal off attacks.
"as we fall" - the creation of Varus i love Varus' lore. the darkin was unable to possess one because of their love so it proceed to try and take the both souls which caused a problem to the darkin tho, the two souls kept their consciousness intact because of "LOVE". Now the two pesters Varus (like hindering Varus' aim with the bow) whenever it tries to do something evil. Tho Varus will do everything to break the two --- like murder their love ones.
The Call features a few demi-gods/deities. Volibear (the big outline of the bear that flashes among the clouds towards the beginning), Pantheon (the spartan), and Ornn (the red looking big yordle). i'm sure that Rek'sai is something akin to a great queen where she comes from (the void). can't wait for you guys to react to each of the other music vids and other cinematics. especially the runeterra cinematics that explore some of the other characters and their lore.
4:09 Well both animations were made by French studios but not the same as for Arcane, however Fortiche Production (the studio behind Arcane) did made other animation for RIOT GAME, such as the Ekko presentation clip, Get Jinxed, KDA, and another one but I don't remember which 😂 You probably should watch them all they are very cool too honestly 🔥👌🏾
The as we fall lore( as on short as i can ) goes like this: There's the void, another dimension that threatens to eat the main world(runeterra). And there's the ascents of targon( targon=mount olymp combined with heaven) that try to stop the void. They sent their most loyal 5 generals on runeterra to fight the void, one of them being varus( the blue thing). In time the humans, and the ascents got scared of the power and influence that those generals got, and one of the ascents told humans how to seal the warriors. So they got sealed in 5 weapons(varus's bow) for thousands of years and now 4 of them came back as vengefull spirits to take revenge on ascents.
So this cinematic is teasing a big Lore event this summer! there is another video that continues this one, which is worth a look! its called All That Will Ever Be!
a lot of the characters are based upon pop culture or mythologic references, so its very easy to find parallels and dont stop the video before it fully ends, its not rare to have a little scene at the final
I've gotten so caught up in the graphics and characterizations, I have missed the story until this one. The "call" is sacrifice and full conviction - these individuals arriving at the recognition they're going to have to stop pulling punches, and go all in. The visuals are stunning. That theme is stunning as well.
The Call is followed by "Message to the Prophet of the void" & "Message to the Eye of the Void" then "All That Will Ever Be" which in turn is followed by the Lore Story on Bel'Veth's Universe Page "Pinwheel"
Hey guys as fans of runeterra (the world arcane takes place in) you may wanna look at the tales from runeterra cinematics as they offer more shorts and details about all regions of runeterra. Ofc all of the cinematics are great though
There’s also a MV from another Riot Games game Valorant called Die For You. The music style and dark theme actually fits well with the Arcane series. Could be Vi’s theme song to Powder!
I don't know if it was my comment on your community post from a couple of months ago you're referring to, but I'll take credit anyway 😋 Honestly, while I previously mentioned the Legend of Runeterra videos I'm not sure how much you'd enjoy them, Spartan in particular, now I've seen more of your content and what you enjoy (there are about ten and they vary pretty wildly in tone from very silly to pretty dark). I'd still recommend A New Dawn, Ruination and Annie: Origins though, as the first two have some good animation and fun fights and the third had a really cool art style and good story I think Pudgey would like.
The darkin are a demon like race that can take human hosts. Basically a darkin merged the souls if two hunters into himself. Here is his official background story: One of the ancient darkin, Varus was a deadly killer who loved to torment his foes, driving them almost to insanity before delivering the killing arrow. He was imprisoned at the end of the Great Darkin War, but escaped centuries later in the remade flesh of two Ionian hunters-they had unwittingly released him, cursed to bear the bow containing his bound essence. Varus now seeks out those who trapped him, in order to enact his brutal vengeance, but the mortal souls within still resist him every step of the way.
The reason you may find as we fall more confusing is that it is not a stand alone as it was part of a two part story of comic and music video which was explaining the origin of one the characters Varus, if any one wants to read the comic you can go to The League website, universe and you will find the video and the comic Varus: Retribution and Heartlight. Must not forget the League has around 160 characters all with their own stories. As for Legends of runterra, it is a card game version using the characters for League with the addition of some others to bulk it out which had its own event exploring more of arcane.
You defintetely should keep reacting! I want to see Annie's origin and Amumus story for sure! I think you'll love both! The path and "kin of the stained blade" is probably the "best" cinematic League has produced in terms of storytelling, and The star guardian trilogy is my favorite in regards to visuals (the most "anime" like so not sure if youll enjoy this as much but i'd definetely want to see Spartan especially react to a trilogy about anime magical girls xD)
Watching all League cinematics, you guys will come to understand why there was so much hype for ARCANE...and also why some were ticked off by Spartan's initial opinions towards the show 🤣
Love the reaction. You should react to a series of 2 videos with great story, they are 'The path, a ionian Myth' and 'Kin of stained blade' in that order. They are not music videos, just story, very cool.
Lore based LoL cinematic, now that is what I've been looking for. Also try reacting to Legends of Runeterra Cinematics cause those are good and also lore based.
I think what some people miss is the image in the sky of the bear is Volibear, the god of those bears Sejuani (white hair) is fighting. When she bashes them down and yells at the sky it's in defiance of him, which is why she's looking up into the sky. That's my take on it at least.
Booth those videos are like just some parts of histories that u can read in the league site. The as we fall one its a comic, u guys can read it to get it more
"As we fall" is about Varus, whom they retconned his origin. It was originally (and I'm paraphrasing), a guardian tasked with defending dark arcane. Enemy forces came in and wiped his family and people out, so he purposely took on the dark arcane for himself to be a force of vengeance to all that killed his people. A much simpler story to grasp by comparison and pretty badass. Made me think of Scorpion a bit from Mortal Kombat. Sad they changed it. I feel like this story could have been for a new character.
Well these graphics are certainly more realistic. I still like the ones from Arcane better. Find them more artistic and personally don't love when animation gets too realistic. These are still great no doubt. To each one their own.
Nice that I’ve got some LOL backlog to watch between GOT uploads 🙂 You might like to watch Necrit's videos that break down and explain these videos and LOL lore in general.
yeah Atreus is literally kratos but with a different backstory and similar at the same time lol. its very conicidental too that Kratos's latest son is named Atreus, and that name comes from a spartan kratos knew long ago.
hello friends in the second video the characters are a couple in love who in the end unite their souls in 1 single body the league of legends tries to be more inclusive in the incorporation of their characters example VI of the arcane series is a lesbian and caitlyn is discovering which is also
U guys should watch "Kin of the stained blade". It's about 10 minutes long but it's about 2 of the most popular champs in league. 2 brothers, yasuo & yone.
If your looking for good music from league then KDA, Pentakill, True Damage and any of the worlds songs such as Rise are some good music videos. The KDA Pop/Stars, True Damage and worlds songs have both live performances (opening ceremony) and official music videos. The Tales of Rune Terra videos are short but give a small glimpse into each of the regions lore throughout the league universe. Very good to watch if you want to learn a little about the league of legends world.
I love reading the comments of the fans who have been following the stories for more than 10 years trying to explain something too broad in a single text. ♥♥
summing up pretty basically, Vaarus, or Varus is a Darkin (as well as aatrox, kayn and another one that hasn't appeared in the game yet and in the lores there's not much talk, they are actually "demons" trapped in weapons that consume those who imposed them, well in short they are the representation of the knights of the apocalypse in runeterra, each one represents a very bad thing) Varus was like a darkin "spirit" that was trapped in the pit and ended up coming out when a couple of hunters fell into it, he took their bodies. For a long time varus was acclaimed by the community for being the first "gay" character in the game, for being in the body of a homosexual couple, in fact he has no sexual orientation, he's just an evil spirit that would take possession of anyone who fell into the well. the history of darkins is very good, I highly recommend it. Sorry for the mistakes, I translated it using google translator :D
Ornn (the red guy) is not evil its actually the contrary, he is a kind-hearted god that just wants to live in peace in his forge since the incident with his brother
Another great reaction! I'll have to say that As we fall was my least favorite so far. If you have not seen them yet, and since you are Witcher 3 fans, I would love to see your reactions to the Witcher 3 trailers. Killing Monster, A Night to Remember and the 10th anniversary trailer. There is also one with the opening cinematic.
Yeah! React to the other League music videos! Most of them aren’t connected to the lore of League and more so created for the end of year World Championships. Rise, K/DA and True Damage Giants are really good!
Pudgey nailed it immediately. The two were lovers in a war and one dragged the mortally wounded other to a pool they were supposed to protect but not touch. The video is the result of them touching it.
The World of League is actually Huge that Arcane isnt 1% , . . . More like .001% of the Story, . . . . So much story, from the Watchers , to Noxus , going to the Bilgewater, . . . And the VOID, . . . I mean Im so curiuos about this story and I want to see the a story of Kassadin's Journey getting all high class equipments traveling to the VOID, . . .
The Forge "Heimerdinger" is not a Yordle but a god of the north. The god of forging. He didnt forge for 1000 years, so him finally forging a weapon is a big deal in the lore, meaning something soon will happen.
thats not heimer. that is who called the fire below the mountain Ornn the forge god. women who ride boar is sejuani. earth bender is taliyah girl who dashes everywhere and shoot purple beam is kai'sa spartan soldier is pantheon women who held a sword and shield is leona the big monster is rek'sai the viking who break the ice is olaf.
just saying there's like 146 champs in league I think and all have their own lore. arcane is just getting started, just wait for the ionia and demacia arc. omg gonna be so good
ikr, also it's a different style. IMO, you can't compare it on what's better in graphics for both styles are utilized differently. For me, Arcane feels more human, grounded, or down to earth (you know like they're not legends that we know today XD), while most of the LOL cinematics that has really realistic style invokes a feeling of something far more magical or greater, like it gives the feel that these are the legends in their world. I know I just ranted, but when I was younger I used to make fun or say that the styles that seem more "childish" or unrealistic are not good (graphic and style wise) because it's not realistic. And nowadays, Mob Psycho 100 is my one of my favorite anime because of the use of animation and style. I love it, especially when they incorporate different style to present the spirits. Some say it's ugly, but I think that's reason why MP100 works well. It also happened to me with games. Red Dead Redemption 2 and Minecraft are extremely different visually (one is realistic and the other is blocky/pixelated), but both serves it's purpose to the gameplay and I love both of them. (I just animations in general sorry 😅)
"No i think they're lovers" "Is that a girl?" "No it's a guy" "I'm confused" Let me teach you about a little something called sexuality🤣in all seriousness, RIOT has always been more progressive than a lot of other media producers, there's several LGBTQ characters, we saw it in Arcane with Vi and Cait, now these guys, the earthbender girl in the Call was supposed to be trans. And there's a few more you haven't seen.
@@lizerat she isn't, but they were gonna make her trans initially, it got scrapped. Though there are still hints about it, Neeko ingame to Taliyah: "I guess i'm not the only one that changes"
Riot really has been progressive for a long time. The few you gave don't even cover all the LGBTQ characters in these two cinematics, Leona being a well-known one.
Basically in As we fall one of the guys was hurt by a war that was happening in Ionia and his lover tried to help him taking him to a place that was known about being holy and cure people, but that was a rule to never dive into the well but they did it anyway. In this place it was sealed one of the darkins that are basically some ancient demons and his name is "Varus", by diving into that Varus took their bodies merching into one and releasing him.
except darkins are not demons but corrupted shuriman ascended bc demons do exist in lol and are more like creatures born out of dark concepts
@@BigBex yeah I know, I just tried to make it simple.
@@BigBex yeah, like Evelynn or what "was" Evelyyn in the Rune Wars i presume.
@@BigBex True, even Aatrox says "Im not a god, im not a demon, im... worse"

It's not the lovers. it's just a strong male bound and nothing more
@@alexstone1763 nah, they're lovers
@@alexstone1763 They were lovers. Confirmed by Riot. As gay as Neeko or Diana and Leona.

Typically this fusion results in the darkin completely supplanting the will of its host, but together Valmar and Kai are strong enough to resist Varus' will and are able to maintain some degree of control over it and their now shared body.
so, conscience of the 2 Ionian lover with the power of the darkin?
@@nw2861 2 ionians and 1 darkin which means 3 souls in one body.
10:28 they didn't come from different worlds, but from different worldviews. One of them wants to fight Noxus, the other just wants to stay out of it iirc. That's why it portrays one killing people and the other one hunting.
Pudgey sees any non human character : "is that Heimerdinger ?"
"i think they're lovers"
"is that a girl?"
"no"
"then im confused" i dont know why that had me rolling hahah. they are in fact two male lovers
Sad tbh, this man couldn't even conceive of a gay couple
@TheJerbol I dont think it's so much that he couldn't conceive of it. It's just nearly unheard of in games and especially promotional material for games to include non-heterosexual male relationships. It's not weird for the first instinct to be to look for other explanations.
"The Path, an Ionian Myth" and "Kin of the Stain Blade" is really good
League of legends has such interesting cinematics im looking forward to the new reactions
Quick corrections on Pantheon's story:
It would be pretty fun seeing Ornn completely destroying someone so he can go back to smithing in peace
"Kai’sa was a normal human girl, but she got trapped in the void at a young age and had to fight for survival while miraculously keeping her hair, skin, and makeup beautiful."💀💀💀💀
The champion name is Varus ( to explain that he's actually a variety of men 3 men )
He is not evil... Ornn is the brother of Volibear-The god of those polar bears... He is actually the good between him and volibear..

Love your videos about League. Keepon guys ❤️
thanks Edson! we appreciate it 😊
In As we fall, they are definitely lovers.
Rhaast is the Darkin in the scythe. Kayn is who would be his host but Kayn is strong so they are fighting for the body.
As a follow up to the Call I strongly recommend you to watch "All That Will Ever Be | Bel'Veth Cinematic"
The Arcane visuals are meant to create a brand new unique style that is only created and associated with Riot so far (trademark).
It can be your cup of tea but is certainly not the best graphics possible. But it definetly works, brings the characters alive
and sucks you into the story.
The Call cinematic has certainly the best graphics Riot has produced so far and comes very close to life action
graphics in terms of realness but this style is aimed by many companies and doesn't stand out unlike Arcane.
there's a short comic kind of a prologue for as we fall and an epilogue. They also have a lot of biographies, interactive map, comics, novels, etc.
Check out Annie origins and curse of the sad mummy next!
The song for The Call alone has very quickly rocketed pretty much to the top of my "League of Legends Inspirational" playlist. It's just amazing.

"I rarely forge weapons. But when I do, somebody going to have their ass wooped" - Ornn, probably.
Knew you’d love pantheon (the spartan) haha I was waiting for this one
The Call:
There are four stories happening at the same time.
For better grasp of the universe I highly suggest "Legend of Runeterra" its a bunch of short stories from different parts of the world
Has it been confirmed as Zoe? Everyone has always been speculating it was Aurelion Sol.
@@chaedi8457 It has been confirmed to not have anything to do with Asol so Zoe is the likeliest candidate

lol i kinda knew he was fast on the trigger. didnt even see the ending XD hahaha when watching league videos. wait until its done! :D
Thanks King! appreciate the support 😊
You capping this was one of the best videos they made, the song was fitting.
So in As we fall we witness the 2 guys seeking refuge and help from a bloodwell if i recall correctly,
which is a source of healing magic, however trapped within was the Darkin Varus, a Eternal war-spirit trapped within theyr own weapon,
for example Aatrox and Raast are 2 more darkin.
They posess the body of the Wielder and battle over controll till the lifeforce of one is sucked dry.
Damn i always have a goosebump watching the call i mean looking pantheon fighting with aspects that literally a god in runeterra alone is so sick man
I would argue that the video "Popstars" from KDA is good because its unique, the animation is on point and its fairly popular. Also it has some really iconic characters like Akali, Ahri and Kaisa. Weirdly, because its good music for the genre, it brought a lot of league and kpop communities together in a wierd way and that has been interesting.
The two guys in As We Fall are lovers
"as we fall" - the creation of Varus
i love Varus' lore. the darkin was unable to possess one because of their love so it proceed to try and take the both souls which caused a problem to the darkin tho, the two souls kept their consciousness intact because of "LOVE". Now the two pesters Varus (like hindering Varus' aim with the bow) whenever it tries to do something evil. Tho Varus will do everything to break the two --- like murder their love ones.
"They're brothers"
"No they're lovers"
"Oh so its a girl?"
"no"
"I'm so confused".
LMAO
The Call features a few demi-gods/deities. Volibear (the big outline of the bear that flashes among the clouds towards the beginning), Pantheon (the spartan), and Ornn (the red looking big yordle). i'm sure that Rek'sai is something akin to a great queen where she comes from (the void). can't wait for you guys to react to each of the other music vids and other cinematics. especially the runeterra cinematics that explore some of the other characters and their lore.
4:09 Well both animations were made by French studios but not the same as for Arcane, however Fortiche Production (the studio behind Arcane) did made other animation for RIOT GAME, such as the Ekko presentation clip, Get Jinxed, KDA, and another one but I don't remember which 😂
You probably should watch them all they are very cool too honestly 🔥👌🏾
The as we fall lore( as on short as i can ) goes like this:
There's the void, another dimension that threatens to eat the main world(runeterra).
So today I learned that everything with furr is heimerdinger
Hahahah I guess we are just still learning about the world and trying to spot familiar things
So this cinematic is teasing a big Lore event this summer! there is another video that continues this one, which is worth a look! its called All That Will Ever Be!
a lot of the characters are based upon pop culture or mythologic references, so its very easy to find parallels
and dont stop the video before it fully ends, its not rare to have a little scene at the final
I've gotten so caught up in the graphics and characterizations, I have missed the story until this one. The "call" is sacrifice and full conviction - these individuals arriving at the recognition they're going to have to stop pulling punches, and go all in. The visuals are stunning. That theme is stunning as well.
The Call is followed by "Message to the Prophet of the void" & "Message to the Eye of the Void" then "All That Will Ever Be" which in turn is followed by the Lore Story on Bel'Veth's Universe Page "Pinwheel"
everyone is heimerdinger
Hey guys as fans of runeterra (the world arcane takes place in) you may wanna look at the tales from runeterra cinematics as they offer more shorts and details about all regions of runeterra. Ofc all of the cinematics are great though
There’s also a MV from another Riot Games game Valorant called Die For You. The music style and dark theme actually fits well with the Arcane series. Could be Vi’s theme song to Powder!
as others said, League cinematics often have more footage after final logo // after credit scene. So keep that in mind for posible future reactions.
These cinematics being so good was why we got Arcane everyone was saying Riot should make a TV show.
I don't know if it was my comment on your community post from a couple of months ago you're referring to, but I'll take credit anyway 😋
Honestly, while I previously mentioned the Legend of Runeterra videos I'm not sure how much you'd enjoy them, Spartan in particular, now I've seen more of your content and what you enjoy (there are about ten and they vary pretty wildly in tone from very silly to pretty dark).
Here is his official background story:
One of the ancient darkin, Varus was a deadly killer who loved to torment his foes, driving them almost to insanity before delivering the killing arrow.
Ahhh! You didn’t finish the secret ending scene! Enjoying the reactions!
Pudgey: This looks like a new character *Leona, literally a character from 2011*
You defintetely should keep reacting!
We will check that out as it has been highly requested! thanks

I feel like this story could have been for a new character.

summing up pretty basically, Vaarus, or Varus is a Darkin (as well as aatrox, kayn and another one that hasn't appeared in the game yet and in the lores there's not much talk, they are actually "demons" trapped in weapons that consume those who imposed them, well in short they are the representation of the knights of the apocalypse in runeterra, each one represents a very bad thing)
Varus was like a darkin "spirit" that was trapped in the pit and ended up coming out when a couple of hunters fell into it, he took their bodies.
''is that heimerdinger?''
Me: -______-
Massive Heimerdinger 🤣🤣🤣
If you want more interestng League of Legends cinematic, try watch "burn it all down", "legends never die", "take over", "rise"
Just keep moving forward for LoL Runeterra Universe
The second video is a darkin taking over the bodies of two dudes to form his own.
thats not heimer. that is who called the fire below the mountain Ornn the forge god.
women who ride boar is sejuani.
earth bender is taliyah
girl who dashes everywhere and shoot purple beam is kai'sa
spartan soldier is pantheon
women who held a sword and shield is leona
the big monster is rek'sai
the viking who break the ice is olaf.
just saying there's like 146 champs in league I think and all have their own lore. arcane is just getting started, just wait for the ionia and demacia arc. omg gonna be so good
I don't know about Spartan, but I have 2 brothers and have never put my face so close to any of them once in my life 🤣🤣
I wouldnt say that the graphics in The Call are better than Arcane's, imo. They are just much more realistic
ikr, also it's a different style. (I just animations in general sorry 😅)
heimerdinger 💀💀
Check out Tales of Runeterra short videos to get more of the lore of Arcane and League of Legends.
yooo u liked the spartan dude alot his name is pantheon you should react to pantheon theme music
"No i think they're lovers"
"Is that a girl?"
"No it's a guy"
"I'm confused"
Let me teach you about a little something called sexuality🤣in all seriousness, RIOT has always been more progressive than a lot of other media producers, there's several LGBTQ characters, we saw it in Arcane with Vi and Cait, now these guys, the earthbender girl in the Call was supposed to be trans. And there's a few more you haven't seen.
Since when Taliya is trans????
Graves and TF BABY!
@@Goomsies i know. Kinda missed a few
