YES! My black is beautiful! Inside and out. Our diversity is limitless...we look good with long hair, short hair, curly hair, nappy hair, straight hair, brown hair, black hair, thick lips, curvy hips, light skin, dark skin, or anywhere in between. It's ALLLLLL good. Nothing compares to the beauty, intelligence, talent and grace of a Black Woman! #MarilynMosby #MichelleObama #Beyonce #Oprah #LenaHorne #DianaRoss #BlackGirlsRock
i think this is a really great show. it just saddens me that as a black woman, the world looks down upon us so badly that we have to continuously uplift ourselves and our little girls and have shows like this just to keep us moving daily.
Without seeing this vid, (due to time constraints), I say that real black beauty is found in the avg., everyday Sista....as soon as she opens her eyes and blesses us w/her appearance.
Yes!!! We are all African American women!! Regardless of our skin hue or hair texture!! There is no "model" of what an African American/black woman should look like. Let's just love each other. Stop trying to divide each other based on skin tone or hair texture. One love fam :)
good comment im glad you mentioned that. people shouldn't get mad when something is put out their like this that is telling black girls and women that they are beautiful and should love their selfs. cuz with all the negativity that is put out their positive thing like this need to be put out their too.
Just jumping in here, if I had the chance to change my hair, whether to straighten or weave (and unfortunately I have only the choice if a buzz cut) , man I would. I'm sure there absolutely is a level of identity that comes with choices made about appearance however, when you have curly hair you want straight hair, and when it's straight hair you want it curly.
WOW. the comments. people are missing the point of the show, which is to uplift the hearts of many colored women, and young girls who suffer from many issues within themselves. a little piece of advice, criticizing them on their hair, and the type of women that host the show wont help you understand what theyre trying to do. it will just make it worse.
Who said your black isn't beautiful if you're wearing a weave or if you have a perm? They didn't say they were going natural. Some people are so ignorant smh. Anyways... #myblackisbeautiful
Frank Acheampong Gh lightskin girls aren't black thought that's the thing. They're mixed. That's how they got their light complexion. For example, Obama isn't black, he's mixed race, his mum is white.
you think? I'm from Ghana, West Africa, and there are many light skinned girls who are not mixed race there, and they didnt bleach. There are light skinned Black people...
@ShAwNY1Luv I'm a male and agree with you 100% sista. It's almost as if nobody wants black women or black people in general to uplift themselves, and after all the bullshit we've been threw!!!!It's funny though because anytime we do something positive its like everybody else just have to be included.we cant just make something for usss. But once we do something negative, they separate and try to bash every one of us an make it a statistic like it's the norm!!!Like C'mon mannn
@Yell0wTaxiCab how often do you see black women on the cover of magazines such as elle, cosmo or vogue? or modeling clothes down the runway for designers such as versace, elie saab or vera wang? or having lead characters for movies or tv shows? not things that are of normal occurrence. and because of this lack and the absence of black women on the big screen, modeling or having their faces on magazine covers, a show of this nature is created!
Stunning. Divine. People have to be creative and 3D, not monotone, in order to appreciate black women's beauty. Our beauty is because it comes in more than one color, texture, shape, style, and size. White women tend to be "flat" characters, very monotone and one-dimensional. Boring, to say the least.
I have enough girlfriends of all cultures that are coloring, straightening & blowing out their hair to create a look that is not necessarily the one they were born with... Lord people it's hair
@Yell0wTaxiCab of course all women are beautiful but there is a lack of appreciation of the black woman in general, these people have to decided to honour that, nothing wrong with focusing on one group of people, so i dont really understand why you have a problem with it, they can make they own show
This will sound stoopid, however in the montage when it cuts to Oprah, I forget that she is a Black woman... Only until it's brought to my attention.. I think this is a good thing...?
Why does every race under the sun get offended, when Black women beauty is brought up? Why cant Black women celebrate their beauty too?All who are offended, you must not feel too good about your selves, although society try damn hard to shove your beauty down our throat.
That was called sarcasm, i was being sarcastic when I said it wasn't. And those are called trolls, they leave comments so outrageous just to get responses, and most likely they are of all ethnicities just trying to cause trouble. oh and I;m here because there is no White Entertainment Television so..
@Yell0wTaxiCab I think theNoirQu33n has made a point- black women rarely see black woman as symbols of beauty- our skin color, or facial features, our bodies are often not acknowledged as being "beautiful" or having aesthetic value. I do not think that just because they choose to highlight the beauty of their oft ignored ethnicity, that any other woman is not beautiful. All women are beautiful but we are not homogeneous and our differences deserve to be celebrated as beautiful.
Excellent points, however, on the contrary, seeing yourself on a panel that speaks of beauty, it is important to have a balance of representatives that reflects the very same beauty you speak of. Imagery makes a long lasting impression than words. On the flip side, you cannot pls everyone, as one say where are the natural hair people, the other can say, where is the bald woman, or the woman w/braids on the panel? We then lose focus on the overall message of the video which, is Black is beautiful.
@Venus3733Diva I never met a SINGLE white woman who wears weaves or extensions on a regular basis. Im just sayin. Im a white dude who grew up in a white neighborhood. I would know.
How can these women say they are all about black being beautiful without embracing their real hair? Wearing hair that white people naturally have? Do these women really think black is beautiful and divine when they are denying an aspect so profound to being black? Black pride is not accomplished until every aspect of being black is embraced. Black hair is beautiful am I the only one that sees that?
@Yell0wTaxiCab in americaa black women are constantly made to feel like they aren't as beautiful women of other races if you research some videos on here that show case beautiful black women and then read some of the comments they are some of the most nasty hateful things you would ever read most of the time if black women don't call themselves beautiful no one will
@Yell0wTaxiCab It's always have to be about what you all approve.Bullshit! Throughout history black women have been told that their unattractive that they hair is nappy and that they are not desirable. Why get mad when we put something out there telling these young girl and women that they are beautiful black women. You can go around the world and see how the white standard of beauty is forced down everybody throats from the TV to the magazines, the billboards. Why get mad when we uplift ourselves
@Yell0wTaxiCab there isn't anything wrong w/ uplifting. in actuality you are basically taking everything away from the very purpose of this show. w/ your constant criticism you are taking something away from black women. the world, unfortunately & unnecessarly, is filled w/ specifications. we didnt place those categories here and those very specifications are what has created the divide and the 'beauty standard'.
wait i swear you said it wasn't racist make up your mind. i didn't say that all white people go around dislike positive things about black people but some do i have looked a black women tribute videos and i have seen white people leave crazy racist comment's in the comment section so it's a fact that some do. and toughs 3 dislikes are most likely from white people cuz why would a black person dislike a video thats saying good things about them. also how did you end up watching a BET show anyway
No it is, so it can't possibly be a black person so it must be a random white person on here disliking it, that's nice. Because you know that's all we white people do all day, sit around and dislike videos about black people..
@sexymichelle91 Extentions are worn by all races including whites due to (constant thining) your probably wearing some now ! supermodels, actressess, popstars, pornstars black and white all wear them on daily basis simply for lenght or fullness not all black women wear fake hair just s well as all white women dont what world do you live in? plus the white controlled media and the fashion industry says that european features are whats classed as "sexy" due to whites superiority complexes,
@sexymichelle91 white women spend thousands of dollars on lip injections, butt & thigh implants ,and most of all tanning and willing to jeopardize your health to be brown or tan if you were meant to be you would does that mean your insecure with your looks and think black features are better??why do white women TRY to sing & dance, slang, etc, etc, like blacks are we cooler then whites? u watch ,learn and imitate us ,u r insecure sweety
nt true in india and asia skin color reflects yur economic status almost purely there there are practically nooo darker skinned women that r celebrities here tho they hav a bettr chance
almost every video i see some person satin black women are fat and ugly ha i think not. if u gave whute women our curves people would think that their thick but if a black woman have it then she's fat? this world we live in
you are so dumb their are pure africans with light skin africans have the biggest gene pool and everyone came from african...before you say dumb things look at african people even indians are black and mixed just because some man many years ago said india is apart of asia means nothing ...dna means everything

Who said your black isn't beautiful if you're wearing a weave or if you have a perm? They didn't say they were going natural. Some people are so ignorant smh. Anyways... #myblackisbeautiful
The irony here is that there isn't a single darkskin girl! Loool
Son Of Bor black here is a race, not a complexion... there are dark skinned, light skinned, mid way, etc, all are black.
Frank Acheampong Gh my point was that none of the women in the video clip were 'black' they're all mixed and that's a fact
My Black is Strong, Sexy, Simple, and Sophisticated!
@theNoirQu33n Its not only Black women. I rarely see Asians or Indians. I see more African Americans on covers than them.
