WELCOME TO THE OKOMFO ANOKYE SWORD SITE
The sword has been in the ground for 325 years.
The ‘non removable’ Sword driven into the ground or soil by Okomfo Anokye remains and is venue of the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. History has it that the sword was pushed into the ground, almost 300 years ago. It is believed the Okomfo pronounced that no one would be able to remove the sword, and so it has remained in spite of attempts. The Ashanti state, it is believed, would collapse should the sword ever be pulled out of the ground. I hope you do learn some Ashanti history and culture.
Thanks for watching
I hope you love this video.
I love you all

OKOMFO ANOKYE is from Awukugwa, Akuapim. Even Asantehene went to his home about 3 to 4 years ago and the whole visit is on the net and was shown on national TV. His name came from the fact that he was born with small bodua in his hands so the people around to his father (who was called ANO) to see (KYE - Kyirepon guan language) what the child was holding. That gave him the name ANOKYE. He is not an Ashanti. stop this arrogant lies
Dear granddaughter, thank you for this video. Although I did not understand the language. It was very nice to see the images of all this. God bless you and blessings for Ghana. I send you a hug from Jalisco Mexico. Blessings to all Ghana and Mexico. 😘😘😘

Good job God bless you guys
Thanks bro
This is where the concept of Excalibur(the sword) was gotten from . Merlin =Okomfo Anokye . King Arthur = Otumfuo .
What. Julius take me further on this train of knowledge.
Lol. You want to hear more?
@@JudithSerwaa19 yes I really wanna know more on how they relate.
Because I know the Spiderman story was made from the Ananse stories from we the Akans after our ancestors who were captured to the West and Europe. Anansesem or Ananse story is part of the knowledge banks of African descendants in the maroons and in the west.
I just compared the story of Okomfo Anokye and Otumfour Osei Tutu I to that of the characters in the story he made mention of and it's beginning to to make more sense but I want him to educate me more on who how the story made its way out there and why the switch of characters.
Ohhhh coool I now get it...I’ve watched the movie and I love it but it never crossed my mind..so he who has the power should wield the sword ....no Merlin no Arthur=no Okomfo Anokye no Otumfuor
Interesting
God bless you for showing kumasi because everyone show Accra only. It's about time. God bless you ❤️
This is such great content. Well done for doing this. Totally enjoyed it

You nailed it empress ✌️🤝
My first time on your channel and i am loving it 😍
Welcome billionaire 💛😊
I like this video Judith 🔥👍🏼
Thank you
I think it would be really helpful for the non-Twi speakers if you could put a translation in the description box. It doesn’t have to be everything but the main things he was saying. That way you don’t have to take down the whole video to add subtitles and everyone would be able to enjoy with the Twi speakers.
P.s. eiiii so even Muhammed Ali couldn’t remove it😂😭
Great video👌🏾👌🏾
Pls check the description. I have it there sis
Judith Serwaa oh i now see it☺️
This is for Ghanaians
@@gabbiousgabby6923 and not all Ghanaians can speak Twi which is why i said "non-Twi speakers" rather than no -Ghanaians
@@raiethefantibae you are right agreed
