When people say that they're referring to him compared to Superman. In the context of The Boys yeah he's absurdly powerful and virtually invincible. It's only when you take him out of The Boys universe where his feats aren't really enough.
15:21 in this series superheroes are shown in a very realistic way atrain said that he needs 30 thousand calories everyday so this should work same for homelander he must needed Even more than atrain
i see where you're coming from but i feel like getting nerdy so here we go obviously, something like compound v (base given abilities, not the actual superhero powers 99% of the time) is not so far-out from reality that it's just impossible to conceive i mean we have anabolic steroids, so compound v can just be considered that, but on crack lmao but homelander wouldn't need considerably more calories than a-train to sustain himself. his heat vision can be boiled down to a structure in his eyes that re-focuses light, which wouldn't be too metabolically taxing, and his flight is, although completely impossible in the real world to any extent, can be explained by quantum mechanics where his atoms quite literally bend the fabric of the universe to increase the chances of spontaneous momentum in whatever direction homelander desires. tl;dr, homelander would probably not need to eat much more than a-train since only his superhuman strength, and non-flying speed would add anything + doubt durability will need a big calorie bump either + his superman clone powers are so bullshit that it exceeds biology, and therefore their caloric requirement.
@@xenvitsu you said compound v is like a staroid or drug . And staroids using bodybuilders and athletes also need to eat High calories and protein to maintain there strength even they need to eat more than normal humans like 600 gram protein per day
@@bullymaguire4431 yeah, but the thing is that happens with muscle size, not the steroid's presence itself, and we haven't seen a supe that LOOKS like a bodybuilder so a-train (and likely other speedsters, AND that ant-man clone from gen v) are the only supes who need to eat insane amounts of calories when using their powers
Can he potentially croak from appendicitis, a ruptured organ, early stage cancer, or anything else that can be solved by fairly simple surgery? It would be reasonable to assume that Homelander’s insides are as tough as his exterior, so treating him surgically may be impossible .
Homelander is not killed by Butcher in the books. He fights his clone who was made to kill him. Homelander actually fatally wounds and damages his clone but died in the process as well and Butcher just finishes off the dying clone with a crowbar to the brain.
What I like so much about The Boys is the realistic portrayal of the human psyche in the supes,. Supers may have powers but they still have a human brain.
Anthony Starr should have Golden Globe for portraying this charismatic antihero. Class act!
Anti Hero?
He’s a villain
In latest season we saw that also homelander age like normal human and he is afraid of being old
People who say that Homelander is just a "weak" Superman knock-off need to watch this video😂
Some people called Omni-man weak…. Some stupidity is unfortunately terminal.

Nice vid!

Superman would kick his ass
Fantastic 😊

Excellent new Homelander video said this before I’ll say it again Superman + Captain America = Homelander
No offense, this is good video and all, but the scrip could use some trimming.
Ever since Soldier Boy was introduced to the show, he definitely took the spot of my favorite superhero! 🙂 🛡️
Zakk Morris + Donald Trump + Superman = Homelander
Most popular hero too
Lol perfect comparisons !
Pretty cool how Donald Trump cut an airplane in half with his heat vision. Oh, and how smashed a dude's head with his bare hand. 🙄
@@Maverick_682 i agree
Jimmy Carr
It’s diddy
