Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is a real-time strategy video game by Westwood Pacific, which was released for Microsoft Windows on October 23, 2000 as the follow-up to Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Red Alert 2 picks up at the conclusion of the Allied campaign of the first game. Its expansion is Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge.

Great video mate. If you press G on a Repair IFV, it will enter guard mode and run around repairing nearby tanks. This means you don't need to manually move your damaged tanks off the front line and back again.

Better yet, assign them to guard one of your units with Ctrl+alt+left click. Same principle as in Tiberian Sun.

@@ollydix combined with game very fast pacing. I played this game long ago, it requires much faster reaction times than Starcraft because of much more "malicious" units. Enemy can for example send a Kirov Airship which can KO your base if not eliminated in time, send landing operation etc.

Well, I have never seen any videos on RA2 and came to the same tactics as you, but... targeting dogs with bombers to make road for spies!! It was something)))
I used to use snipers for the same tactic.
I always used to kill dogs using bombers to steal money. And i always build Airforce at least 4-6 units for bombing the superweapons buildings. And i'll never destroy enemies primary building. I always send engineer to capture it. This is what we call Command n Conquer..not Command n destroy

This map is NEAR ORE FAR if I'm not mistaken.
One thing I like about Yuri's Revenge is that you can select the place where you want to be.I usually select the mountainous map and select the upper mountain where my opponents can only enter at one path.In this situation, I can deploy my soldiers and Mirage tanks thereat to prevent my enemies to reach my base. It is important that you will be able to build a Strategy Center so that you can employ a spy.Once you placed your spy in the enemy mine, it will be time to do some offense.
Built at least 4 war factories to make prism tanks 4x faster (5x if you made 5 of these and so forth),same thing will happen to a soldier in a barracks.
Since you both have allied and soviet MCVs, make an iron curtain and a chronosphere. You can teleport 9 prism tanks to the enemy base and cover them with iron curtain for a minute...enjoy blasting your enemies to kingdom come.
I always do that as well. The Brutal AI stand no chance against the 9 prism tanks + iron curtain.
I see you are a man of mirage as well. nothing but devious trickstery, smoke, mirrors and mirages. Backed by ungodly punch those prism sweeties packs. Not to mention bot is stupid and you can camo tanks in some sneaky place. U can iron curtain something already blown. Also range of grand cannons is quite overwhelming for the price. 2000 for this much bang is a steal and you only need a handful.
The map is Russian Roulette. Ironically it says it right before the match starts. One of my favorite allied tactics is using BattleFortresses (Unless it is against a Yuri team). Typically I make about 6-7 battlefortresses, fill them with regular GI Soldiers except for the last two where I have 2-3 guardian GIs, and Regular GIs. Put them to a base to knock out powerplants, units, and sentry gunners, leaving it vulnerable for engineers to steal their buildings and spies to upgrade units and unlock Chrono Commando. If it is against Yuri, then just spam the fuck out of prism tanks which are pretty OP against NPCs .

I like your tactic, particularly the beginning. You can use rocketmen as well. They are pretty fast and can damage zeppelins to large extent when they are gathered. Appreciated! :)

I grew up playing this in the 90’s! I was fighting 8 brutal bots by the time I was 10
I used to always do 1 v 7 all brutal enemies. With allies, all you needed to do was fill 2 battle fortresses with 4 rocket soldiers and a navy seal and you were golden

I got this free in my Origin account, but when I tried I couldn't make it work in windows 10. I remember levelling up the Russian tanks to god power, and that last mission on Yuri's revenge where the enemy base was at the top and trickling down a perpetual stream of enemies.. The guy out of Robocop was the president also.. Like, computer games were flirting with the idea of big budgets, but they were shit still...
I play in Origin with Window 10 as well, go and google how to do the competible mode setting to make it work playing under W10.

When i tried to beat 1 brutal, got wheater stormed too many times, built 4 of the most secured bases. I freaked out when i won just by preparing like 1 million (i dont remember) tanks. So i was so happy i tried 2 brutal. It ended so quick.
I played this game since I was 10 years old now I'm 18 I still play this game 😂.
There are people who have been playing this game since they were 10 years old, and today they are 25+ years old :D

I like to play this game as yuri and have an allied and soviet ai teammates, I would later use yuri to mind control the bases of my teamates and get all special attacks and use all of them at once on a single target.

Best strategy game ever. If there is one working version for Windows 10 I would still play it. There are some alternatives of this game which works on W10 but it's laggy and unstable.

I think the weakness of enemies with iron curtain-activated is turning them off with a chrono legionnaire. Does anyone agree with me?
I used to use the chronosphere as a defense against the iron curtain. As soon as I saw the attack group start to gather up, I would teleport them into water where they'd sink.
Same here. If i am russia, I use iron curtain for defense which results me winning the fight. If im one of the allies, I use chronosphere to move the enemy onto something or water. If the enemy is not dumb enough to send them on formation, then i use one great tactic of all the time. I build a construction where they will hit me and then use the shield on it. Costs me my energy but those idiots are still wasting their time. After iron curtain of their wear off, Again i teleport them to their deaths.
For attack i use air forces and chrono legionare a lot.
If you were the Allies, I guess if you use a chronosphere to transport battle fortresses with 5 chrono legionnaires on it, it'll be 5x more effective than if you were to use a group of them. Plus, you don't get any chrono delays.

My strategy on Mental Omega: 1st i use engineer and halftruck for garrison enemy base mcv and repack to our base

You dont need to set the start position for every AI player in the beginning. Just leave it on question marks and it will be assigned automatically.

Isn't it better to evacuate and regarrison the Battle Bunkers so that the units inside get the promotions? The firepower of promoted units vs unpromoted units in building garrisons is noticeably different.

Getting that gem-looking patch of ore in the middle of your square sector gives you more credits per patch of ore, rather than getting the gold ores, which is half the worth of the gem patch. For starting off, it can make the difference.
Also, have more than one ore refinery running if you choose to have more than one miner collecting ore. It prevents that one refinery from becoming the only offloading site for the many miners you may have, thus giving yourself more money as time goes on.
This is all to give you less dependence on stealing money from other bases, which is a risky business.

AI computer players are easy as fuck in this and when you know the AI its easy to defeat them. real challenge is online matches
