If it is showing on your passport seva kendra, (under my appointments) it is confirmed. If you still have a doubt you can call the customer care number listed on the website. They will help you with your queries.

@@shahventures7490actually most of the time the mail goes into Spam/Trash, we need to check these boxes as well in our mail, it happens a lot (Happened with me as well).
If your old passport was made before your marriage then on renewal you need to carry marriage certificate and if it's not available then fill up form annexure (J) and need to paste latest joint photographs of husband and wife along with signature of both on the photo copy. I faced this issue due to this I had rescheduled appointment after visiting there. Hope this information will help you in some manner. 😊

Its okay to have aadhar card of any other place as long as you have some address proof of your current residence. Gas bill, electricity bill, rental agreement, bank passbook, driving license etc. You should not face any problem.

Police Verification Report for passport application is under review at the Regional Passport Office. Passport will be dispatched after Police Verification Report is found clear. The applicant would receive an sms/e-mail once the passport is dispatched. Question: Could you let me know if the above status update indicates that the police verification is now completed and the application is currently with the RPO?
yes it means the police verification is done. Application in in RPO, waiting for the final report. once the report is submitted the passport will arrive.

Yes you will have to mention your current residential address. Rental agreement will be required during police verification. If your permanent address did not change then most probably there will be no need of police verification on permanent address. One verification is enough.
It will depend on where you are going and under which compamy but as a general rule your passport should be valid for atleast 6 months from the time you move. Since yours is a close call, it is better to renew because your passport is the most imp document when travelling abroad.

And what happens to your old expired passport? (in my case my passport is expiring after 6 months) do they stick the old passport with the new one? What about if we have sticker visas on our old passport
The old passport is cancelled (a visible whole is made on the passport) but returned to you. So any visa sticker you had will stay intact but they do not stick it with new one. The new passport is separate and the old one is only for your memories if any

Father's name will still be there in her passport. Your name will be added under spouse's name. You do not need to do anything extra. She needs to fill the same form and add the new address and your name under spouse. Once done, when she visits psk, they will ask her what things have changed from last time. She can inform she is now married and the address. They will give one declaration form which is self explanatory. One address proof of the new address is needed. That is all. And when she goes for police verification, marriage certificate will be needed.

Yes you can register with your current address and apply. And in the form you can select current address not same as permanent address and add your permanent address as well. We have demoed that in the video.

Yes you can renew passport anytime, even after passport expiry. If you do not have any travel plans outside of india in this time period, you can easily get it after shifting to the new house.

I am from Tier 2 city Guwahati, Assam. I have applied for reissue of passport on 30 September, 2024. So do you have any idea, after how many days at Tier 2 city one gets call from police station for police verification?
You can check in the portal what is the status of your passport. If it awaits police verification, you will get a call from the police mostly within a week or two. So pick up all unknown numbers at this time 😄 and keep checking the portal.

You dont need to carry marriage certificate to psk, but you will need to carry it during police verification if you were a bachelor at the time of applying for the previous passport.

Coming to ECR: ECR matlab "Emigration Check Required". आपके लिए ECR लागू नहीं है क्योंकि आप 10+ graduate hai. तो aap non-ECR लिस्ट में आते हैं। अगर आप वीडियो देखेंगे तो हमें स्टेप बाय स्टेप फॉर्म भरने में ise समझाया है। आप जैसे ही graduate and above bharenge, automatically non-ECR select हो जाएगा।
@ I went ahead with the appointment and was able to correct it at the first counter of Passport office. I am not sure if I was lucky or do they do it at all the offices. Now waiting for my passport without having to book another appointment
Did you register with your current city first ? If you had registered earlier with some other city, you will only get options of that city. For getting option of current city where you live, you will have to register again. We have explained the step by step registration process in the video.
This happened with us as well once. If you have a different email id, try with that. Else you can create a new email id and register again. It worked for us with the other email id.

Hi! In case of Tatkal passport, police verification is not done before passport issuance. The passport request is processed within 3 days in case of Takal passport.

No they will not. It is returned to you with a small hole punched through the passport so your nostaligia and souvenir is preserved. 😃

No. You can book only in two places. Either current address or permanent address and that address needs to be provided as proof.

We did not face any issues while registration. It could be an intermittent issue. Or some setting issue.
