It's sad that a lot of people don't want to know more about them just because there are a lot of members. Once you stan them you won't feel like they are too many members. Seventeen has a lot of songs with the thirteen of them but they also work in units, trios, duos and solos. There are 13 of them so just imagine all the differents music styles, harmonies and voices we get to hear. Just like Woozi said, a lot of people pointed fingers at them saying they won't make it because they are too many but look at them now...They proved that they could do it. Every member deserved his place within seventeen.
I don't mean anything bad, you don't need to feel forced to like them. I just hope you will still listen to them because they are really talented.

Always have faith in Seventeen, their music will always get you to where you need to be. ❤ [you really should watch the performance version of this, it’s just breathtaking]. I know 13 seems like a lot, but it is what makes their choreo so amazing. If you want to learn who they are just watch some ‘Going Seventeen’ you will know them all in no time. But, no one should be getting mad, Carats are usually pretty chill.
I really don’t get why one would shy away from their music just because there are too many members. Just appreciate their music plus top level vocals, dancing, choreography, visuals, stage presence, showmanship, comedic entertainment. All round talent.
Their music is truly a reflection of them since they compose their own songs and write own lyrics. Meaningful songs that bring joy and healing to their fans.
I was the same way at first with Seventeen. I thought that there would be far too many members to remember. However, once you kind of catch hold of their personalities, their names and faces are easier to remember. It took me about a week to know who each member was. One thing that did help me was the Super Long Guide to Seventeen, and that goes into detail with each member and it really is helpful.

when you said they were just too many of them i get you lol😂 it took me MONTHS to distinguish each of them, the hardest being dk and wonwoo.
if youre interested, you can watch guides or fanmade content on them to help you recognise each member and their roles at least. but only if youre interested!!
(speaking of roles, heres an important person i think you should know: BUMZU.)
- he has worked with pledis even before svt's debut.
- woozi learnt music writing and producing from him!
- woozi wasnt meant to be on the production team. the ceo saw woozi learning from bumzu and decided to make him part of it.
- bumzu has written most/all of seventeen songs, more than woozi i think.
- years of acquaintance with seventeen turned him into svt's elder brother!
- if you would like to listen to him, he has a song titled 'i dont miss you' which was composed by woozi!

You will want to play a game of mafia with Jeonghan the master schemer, play video games with wonwoo and s.coups, join a screaming match with Hoshi, plan a fight with seungkwan , join the K-pop maknae revolution with Dino, paint with The8, listen to Jun playing the piano, cook with Mingyu, create music with woozi and Vernon, speak English with Joshua and sing ballads with DK.
don't get too stressed about getting members names wrong! carats know there are a lot of members and it takes a while to learn. as long as you continue to make a sincere effort carats are very understanding and patient even if you get things wrong!

Thanks was my first comeback, and I fell in love with them instantly, and they are still the Kings of Synchronization. ( keep on eye on the chreo they tend to add sign language to their dances ) I'm just hoping we get a good album before they go to the military. 🤞 let's hope I get better seats for the concert this year.
On the problem of remembering members: The thing that always helps me remember is variety content. It just really helps to familiarize yourself with their faces when you see them talking and walking around for several minutes at a time instead of artistic snapshots in music videos.
On the other hand, I don't think you have to learn their names to enjoy their music if you don't want to. I've been listening to Stray Kids since God's Menu and I can recognize maybe half of them. I've been listening to Ateez for at least two years and I know they have a dude called San and that's it. With Oneus I couldn't even tell you how many members there are, and I don't think they have a single title track I don't like. It is what it is.

They know how to put the climax of their songs
As someone from Nebraska, it made me so happy to see Vernon wearing a Nebraska sweatshirt. It also makes me wonder why. 😅

Seventeen has so much good variety content (they want to be funny so bad, always- they are slaves to the bit (by choice)) that I think is very beneficial to new fans wanting to identify the members. Because there are so many of them, it REALLY helps to have speaking voices, facial expressions, and general attitude all at your disposal. These things help with most groups, but with 13 members “fighting for air time” in variety content, they really let themselves get silly with it lol

I'm not sure if being a teacher has trained me to remember names quickly (I can memorise a class of 25 in a day of work) or if being a carat trained me 😅

Before it's very hard for me to realise who is who I started to know only Mingyu coz he's the tallest one then Hoshi cos he looked like a Japanese then Woozy who is the smallest and looks like Sugar of BTS then slowly I remembered all of them now
Because my kid likes them so much, she made me learn them. So I guess you just need your personal tutor.
am i too late to leave a comment but don't feel bad for not memorizing the members. That was my first reaction to Seventeen too. But then I tried watching a Going Seventeen episode with only one man in mind, Mingyu. then getting curious with another, Wonwoo. Then watching another episode, then Scoups comes in the picture. And now, I'm not really sure who's my bias anymore. 😭

How sad that you miss out on great music just because the group has 13 members. You don't really need to know each one of them, just appreciate their songs.
