“Some of the videos I’ve been doing lately have been pushing 20 minutes, and I kind want to condense it a bit more” that aged poorly haha 😂. CONGRATULATIONS ON 5K SUBSCRIBERS!!!
some good price points here. The whiskies are priced all over the place around by me all different prices so good to know what I should be shooting for!
I live in Colorado and I want to go bourbon hunting with you lol I hunt pretty much all the time all I want in life is to find a eh Taylor at a good price, but every time I do they at 129 +. I’ve never seen a Stagg jr under 150, I can find buffalo trace store picks for $24 all day long.
An easy answer: pay as close to msrp as possible. The prices of Buffalo Trace are inflated to the point of stupidity for some of these bottles, ie $100 for Eagle Rare, $300 for Stagg jr., $150 for Blanton’s…. There are equally good options from other distilleries that are readily available. Buffalo Trace doesn’t have the market cornered on good bourbon.
😢 on the Elmer T Lee. Finally found a bottle at msrp and had the choice of ETL, Stagg Jr, MWND, or Michters Toasted Rye. Could only choose one. Had a bottle of Stagg, MWND, and Michters so went with the ETL becuz it’s been so elusive. Took over 3 years to find it reasonably priced.
Great video but if you ever visit the Jersey shore better bring your own bottles with you or you'll be on the wagon quick. There are no controls here and every dealer has an app with all of the secondary prices so our price is somewhere in between.
I think your estimates are kinda low, at least for the northeast US. A good price for BT these days is anything under $50 as much as it pains me to say it
750 ml bottles of AA10 star definitely exist; I find them in GA from time to time. I am confused how you get to a $13 price point on the standard size 750 ml from a $30 price point on the 1.75 l; generally the 1.75 bottles of any brand are not quite 2x the price of the 750 ml bottle of the same brand (that’s the value of getting the 1.75 l bottle), so I think a more realistic price point is around $18, which is what I actually usually find it for.
Total Wine in Denver last week had a drop of Stagg for $65 I went over and passed on Stagg got Ben Holladay Rickhouse Proof. Love Stagg but willing to let someone else get Stagg. Buffalo Trace is showing up alot recently in Colorado seeing most around $26-29. Still waiting for Sobo Liquors in Denver to do another BT store pick one I had in summer was amazing and priced at $29🥃
That’s nice of you to pass it. I’m a little far from total wine so it’s never worth the drive. I have never found anything allocated from there. However my wife went to one in the Bay Area and she picked up two Weller antiques lol
@@TheWhiskeyCove yeah about the only allocated Buffalo trace products I've seen you in there is I scooped up an Eagle Rare back in February for $34 they had Weller Special Reserve for $29.99 and then they had the 1.75 L of Weller Special Reserve for $59. I go there alot cause I'm close but have a better relationship with owners of Sobo Liquors on Broadway n Evans which I feel has better selection of bourbon.
ok, he said 43 for a bt store pick. imo the eagle rares are just as good if not better, they are still single barrels in most cases and always aged 10 years.@@TheiPad
Prices in NY can get crazy. Must admit that I way overpaid for my first 2 Stagg Jr's (batch 15 & 17) because I "had to get them" 😂 and at $200 each that seamed like a deal since I've seen it for up to $300 at some stores, if you can even find it. But with a good relationship with a store I was able to get 4 bottles of the more recent releases (18, 22B, 23A) for 80 bucks a piece. So, that cut my average price per bottle significantly. That's my rationalization on paying what I did for the 1st two ...bourbon math at its finest 😅
Where in NY? I’m in western NY and prices for a stagg are all over the place when you actually see it. I’ve seen it for $400 obviously collecting dust but it’s almost always listed at $200-300. One store owner I talked down to $150 but also had to buy a couple of their store picks I didn’t want lol so I passed
Buffalo Trace is tater bait and cringe. Tell me you're a bourbon newb w/o telling me you're a bourbon newb: hunting buffalo trace. So funny, this is a top/bottom meme situation: people not even into bourbon buy the classics like WT101, people who impress themselves with all their wonky bourbon knowledge buy buffalo trace, and people who have been in the bourbon world forever and know more than the wonk have forgotten buy WT101. :)
You can’t say that Buffalo Trace is not good bourbon. I get that’s it’s all opinions and palates but you have to appreciate the quality of this $25 bottle.
@@TheWhiskeyCove The regular buffalo trace is an average bourbon, only tards and taters hunt for it and need to be told how much to pay for it. Also I was speaking to the brand in general, you're not very bright.

I tried haha. I like to keep them at around15 mins less for reviews but being on my own I can just go off talking.

AAA 10* is 26 bucks and change for a 1.75 in NC, and readily available
For 1.75? Damn good price point.

msrp would be my preference but its a changing world in whiskey. For the worst? most definitely. Thanks for watching.
So close to 5k!! I remember when you didn’t even have 500 subs!! Congrats on the growth and keep up the great content!! Cheers
I remember when I had 0. Couldn’t have done it without yall.
Congrats on 5K. BT puts out good whiskey but should be close to msrp. EHT is the only one I would pay up a little
My unicorn bottle is EHT barrel proof. Hoping to get one some day without having to pay astronomical prices!!
I’ve had a few opportunities to get one but there was always something else that was just a little better.
It's a good pour but generally Stagg is better. I have heard good things about this year's release of EHT BP though.
Nice, you did it. Congratulations!
BT is simply a quintessential bourbon, fantastic "everyday sipper" as they say, I totally agree with your assessment
blantons is 120 at the cheapest here in ny..you will never get stagg here even close to msrp..its always $300
Maybe we get it cheaper in Colorado as we have so many big box liquor stores.
Watch your videos regularly but had never subscribed so thanks for the reminder. And the giveaway. Grats on 5k, well earned.
Thanks for watching! Welcome to the dark side.

I personally wouldn’t pay over $100 for any bottle. Too many good options below that price to justify it.
i will buy 1 or 2 Blanton's per year for $100 in NY

Great vid
Great video. Would like to see a video focused on Weller.
Well done on 5 thousand Patrick. You deserve it.
Thank you!
In the dallas area, blantons… 125-150
Criminal!
Blantons at $60 🤣. Not in Washington state. Sin taxes should be illegal.
I’ve been to Washington and that tax is no fun.
@@TheWhiskeyCoveThe struggle is real over here. Enjoy MSRP at every opportunity!
Happy Holidays and congrats on being ever so close to your 5k goal! Cheers!
congrats on 5k subs. well deserved. kicking some butt. keep it going. cheers and happy holidays.
Congrats on 5K, love the content!! Great call on hitting it before Christmas.
Great achievement…5,000 Subscribers. 🥃
Thanks! 😃
Congratulations on 5k subscribers. You have a great channel.
Have you seen a rock hills farm in Colorado? I’ve been searching everywhere for it.
I’ve not seen it anywhere. I’ve heard some folks get one but no, sadly. It’s on my radar.
@@TheWhiskeyCovethanks for the response. If you need me to keep an eye out for anything in my neck of the woods let me know.

Stagg prices up here in MA, if you can find a bottle, is $250+
Daylight robbery!
Agree 100% @@TheWhiskeyCove .... congrats on 5K!!!
who tf sells blantons for 55$???? I believe the msrp has gone up.

I find the 1.75 for 30$ in Wyoming. I just gauged the math from there
So the moral of this story is that Colorado has all the unicorns at MSRP and Barrel Pick versions...got it!
Only if you know people
Interesting you’d only pay $3 more for eagle rare than buffalo trace.
Ehtpb is a unicorn bottle
Taylor BP? It has got me too.

did you suggest buffalo trace is worth more than eagle rare?
Eagle rare he said $40 and BTrace he said $37 for the standard bottle

Congrats on 5k!
Thank you!!
No Bourbon is worth more than MSRP especially Blanton's.
Each to their own I guess.
Msrp only, stop the price gouging and free up availability.
We can wish!
How the heck did ETLee become so popular? Everyone hates the stuff… 😂
Dan from Bourbon Junkies liked it and just that it's a Buffalo Trace product are two reasons why it got popular.
I think just about everything buffalo trace puts out is popular.
MSRP is how much . Stop feeding the greed machine.
Just trying to give my honest opinion my man.
All these how much should you pay videos. Dude, people are nuts and will oh whatever they want because you all make these videos hyping bourbons.
Anything over 35 for any buffalo trace is a sham
