This is a good, clear demonstration, with easy-to-understand explanation. But, she left out what for me was the most potentially discretionary aspect of doing a compression wrap-- How much pressure should you apply in order to be both effective and safe?
Exactly!!!
@@My2centsarenecessaryI can’t expect either of you to still need this. From my experience with normal compression wraps on the leg, ankle, shin areas it’s usually safe when you can press in your gif toe and have normal redness return within 2 seconds. That’s my rule of thumb
@stanz47 thank you. I'll put it in my back pocket for next time. Have a good day
Also there is a pump with leg sleeves that you use for treatments I use both pump and short streach wraps it has helped much but like I said I have stage 4 try not to get that bad . I also have all the medical conditions that go along with my condition
That is not a 50% overlap, it is barely 20%. Not a good demonstration. Plus she showed no compression. This may have kept further fluid out of the leg, but it wouldn't push any fluid out.
What about if your varicose veins are more on the thigh area?
Most importantly is how long do you leave that wrap on for?
About a week.
How long can you leave it on without damage to the skin?
For lymphoma you want to use what is called short streach bandages they will work way better than those and you can wash them I have stage 4 lymphedema and 10 years ago no one knew what it was I live in Lancaster ca and there are a couple of great therapist in my area yes what they show in this video is one way of doing it but very expensive, short streach wraps is one more way also you need a doctor who will help you get rid of the water weight I was up to 420 pounds now I’m at 300 pounds so please don’t lose hope keep doing research you will find help I found my help in Palmdale ca at Palmdale regional hospital there is both outpatient services and wound care in the hospital that help me with first knowledge and then help .
Can this we worn for reliving cramps on calf?
I have a pt with very fat legs. My compression bandage rolls down.
Thank you for this video!! Very appreciated ❤
Hi where can I find those wraps at and what are they called
Thank you for sharing.
Where Can't I'll buy this from
What thr idea of two bandages?
That ankle should’ve been covered. This is not a good demonstration.
Yes it should be, actually down to half of the foot. Your wrong!
Which vericose medicine
That was 75%
Good demonstration, but too tight of a wrap.
