Darling , chatrapati, mr perfect, mirchi, varsham and bujjigadu are best movies choose one ❤
Telugu cinema has always been master of making mythological movies right from the 1950s. Mayabazzar, sita kalyamam and singitam srinivas rao garu made the socio fantasy which includes history of Telugu literature Aditya 369. He recreated the vijayanagara kingdom and the legendary Telugu poet laureates of the court of krishnadevaraya.
Nag has educated the audience - what a guy!! We need as Indians (whether born in India or not) support our heritage and stories that outlay our identity. As a comic book acolyte I think many of the works I grew up with has been taken from Hindu, Norse, Egyptian and Greek and Roman mythology. Its time for India to stop berating themselves and calling copy on everything. A world where the resources will be sucked up will look like a wasteland/desert. A world in the future is expected to be technology forward and harvesting for water. These are tropes that are not copies.
On Prabhas - Darling and Mirchi are fairly lighthearted and give insight into Prabhas comic timing although I quite liked Varsham and recommend this one as Trisha fan and the music is still so fresh
i am pretty sure that this featurette is meant for the the western audience, i appreciated the education there. i am not a comic book person but i do adore science fiction. the films that i grew up drew inspiration from many of the world's religions and mythologies: Christanity, Islam (i am looking at you Dune), Egyptian, Hindu (i am looking at you Avatar), so many more. when i first saw the trailer for this movie did i say to myself "oh look, it's Indian Han Solo", yes, but i only have western references to draw from. perhaps in the not so distant future i will see a western trailer for a sci-fi film and say "oh look, it's american Bhairava" ps, still bummed that there will not be a popcorn bucked fashioned after that car.
