And a cheat but sadly so was lewis I reckon. That whole era was a farce. They were all on the gear. Can't believe any of it. The drugs testers admit they were miles behind the athletes then. Now it's a different ball game. They'll get caught like Marion jones, Dwayne chambers, Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay or Tim Montgomery no matter how big a star they are.

I guess it cannot be easy getting that 6'5 frame out of the blocks. I think the best form of past sprinters was a toss up between Donovan Bailey and Ben Johnson. I would lean more towards Bailey! And we are not talking about female sprinters so not sure why Flo Jo was even mentioned?
I remember waking up for this race on a Saturday or Sunday morning because it was televized at around 9 am. I don't remember whether it was live or pre-recorded but it pissed me off because it was on my day off on the weekend. lol
This was a damp squib after the big hype at the time. But back when promoters treated athletics like a sporting event rather than light entertainment with silly music and fireworks.

Best era for sprinting late 80s to late 90s. Many people commenting are not even into sprinting at all. And think sprinting started with Bolt.
