You can place square silage bales in. You place them on the floor in the box and the push them into it. It works for me. Capacity is 50,000L witch slowly drops down as the plant uses it.
Good guide! I have seen videos where the silage bales sold, I think it may have been Golfcart jockey, but it only took them when you dropped them into a specific place on the digester. Also, I think with multiplayer, all the money goes to the map owner at midnight.
kylewil12plays So obviously you get the right to use it and you get your money by selling your sileage. But are you just saying you aren’t getting money from selling the sileage but the money is actually coming from people using your power grid? So essentially you are making money from the power resulting from your sileage sale? And not so much from the sileage itself?
Sorry I take that back, you have to wait till midnight to receive your income from selling sileage so I guess that means at midnight is when the “consumers buy the power” produced from your sileage drop point... makes sense now that I see it like that. Plus it earns you more than the barn or whatever the other drop point is.
Thank you MSP was getting very confused and remembered I’d seen you’d done this!! Seems odd as others have said and slightly counterintuitive as I wanted to do silage to make money, to build up but actually price is good and compared to placing your own bunkers is worth the loan!! Thank you! I requested this a bit ago because I had tested it as well and purchased the BGA etc but I am unhappy about the bales thing. I am happy about the midnight thing though because you'll be able to load a lot in there without the price changing. Awesome vid!
Btw in case you hadn’t come across it yet and wanted to share with the folks. Don’t leave crops in the train unattended, they seem to have a habit of going missing... I was using it to move large quantities of sugar beet for a contract on Felsbrunn, lost some and failed the contract as a result essential wasting easily a couple of hours gameplay... you reach a bigger audience than I do so might be worth sharing if you wanted to!!
Same happened to me on potato crop, field 8 Ravenport. Was using the train exactly as you said. Had to save and exit the game and came back at a later time. When the field was complete, was a full 20% short. Needed to edit my savegame XML with extra taters in order to finish delivery or suffer a massive "missing crops" penalty for canceling the contract. The train would always just take off by itself which was annoying enough, but I have no idea how I came up so short other than a train glitch. I repeated that same mission later using only semis and had a full 2 trailer surplus. ug
These videos are so helpful! I like how you have to build up your farm in FS19 but it does add to the learning curve for people who have been playing a while
Now I know why all those silage bales didn't produce income - I didn't buy the plant. This is really counterintuitive. I don't have any experience with FS17 but it doesn't make sense that I had to purchase the building. I was able to get the plant to accept bales but I had to sit them on the edge of the receiving container and knock them off or just drop them into the container. Placing them doesn't work at all. Thanks for this video. Saved my sanity good Sir. Cheers
Actually in regards to the silage bales, I got the BGA and immediately went to take silage bales there, but obviously as we saw in your video its didn't work... So since it didn't work I got frustrated and starting to ram the bale into the side of the BGA sell point and eventually when I held down the gas against the wall with the bale on the forks, the bale disappeared and the fill level showed up. Now I haven't gone to midnight as this happened on my main save game and have work to get done first, but most likely I will as I know it went in. Not sure if that happened to anyone else, but figured I'd let you know. (Going off you said in the video, not being able to sell bales at the BGA is a bug or me selling it was the Bug, so time will tell I suppose.)
yea the bale has to be in a specific spot and not "hooked" on the spike for it to sell, ive only tried at ravenport bga but its the same so shouldnt matter
Yeah, there does seem to be a tiny "magic spot", at least at Ravenport right on the wall of the dump bunker that will take the silage bales. I found it by auto-unloading a full trailer directly on top of the thing. I didn't know I needed to own the BGA yet, and I didn't know that it wasn't supposed to take bales at all. I did not own the BGA at this point. My plan was to instantly sell whatever fell into the supposed trigger, then manually clean up the ones that didn't go. What I found were three bales disappeared, all the rest piled on top and/or rolled away. I thought to myself how remarkably small and finicky the bale trigger seemed to be, but I slowly managed to "sell" all the remaining bales into this sweet spot, vowing never to do silage bales here again... I did notice I wasn't being paid, but had read somewhere that BGA sales payment occurs at midnight, so wasn't worried. Midnight rolled around, guess what? NO BGA income. Apparently you can "glitch" away silage bales into that messed up trigger without owning the thing, but the bales just disappear. Nothing was displayed on the processing readout, and when I did finally buy the thing, nothing was in the digestate tank either.
So if you look in the game files, it says the capacities of the BGA. Whether its accurate or not is up to testing, as it says you an only have 50000 liter of silage, liquid/solid manure, and hay/grass in the sell point, while the digestate tank has a capacity of 800k liters. However, the bunker silos at the BGA do NOT have a capacity set in the game files, which leads me to believe that its only limit is how high you can stack it while keeping it compacted and within the boundaries. So in theory, the bunker silos at the BGA are unlimited, except by actual feasability of having millions of liters of chaff compacting and fermenting. The more ya know.
I think you're the only UA-camr that's covered this topic. I remember trying the BGA for the first time and was surprised I had to buy it. I'm really surprised Giants took the idea from the PC mod. Only thing missing is being able to control the feed rate. It's a good idea although a lot of people don't like it. It breaks the monotony of earning money from silage so quickly. I'm not sure about the bale thing, but I could see it being a thing. I know people complained about the percentages on screen but I wish Giants would put it back. Things like that are quality of life
I don't agree at all with that being a good thing! I have to say with all that rediculous high priced (who would ever build a house costing a cuarter million euros and have to pay a million euros for establishing the foundation first - not a single person on earth would do that!) and mostly not even needed terraforming bunglering (who needs to flatten the ground for building a fence for an animal meadow - NO ONE EVER!) it is a shame that Giants took out almost all possibilities to pay for their new stupidly implemented so called 'features'!
It seems that even though the belts are moving and the silage is moving along from the bunker on the belt that it is not really being moved and processed. If I stop the belt and then restart, the silage is really being processed as evidenced by the posted counter readout going up. So if the bunker doesn't seem to be emptying out, stop the belt, restart it and then confirm the processing by checking the digital counter.
Hi. Love your videos. Thanks. Just wanted to mention something I havent seen any youtubers point out yet. Doing some experimenting with cows and noticed you only need to give them tmr, water and straw to get 100% productivity. It kind of says this in the cow menu but not really clearly. It states what food type to get a certain effectiveness. No need to give grass anymore. Maybe you could check this out. By the way farming sim 19 has been out a week and I have over 50 hours in. Slightly addicted. Also you can store crops in the railroad silos instead of buying an expensive silo. You can get it out with a tractor, dont need to use train. Thanks again for the videos.
Yep, tried bales and nothing happened, which is a bit of a pity because it was a nice way of earning a buck as well as gaining digestate. Oh well. Yet again, thank you MrSP for that guide to. Very helpful as usual, you're a Gent, Sir. Cheers.
Thanks for sharing that, I'm used to the old FS17 way and read on the forums you have to buy the business now, wasn't sure what they were meaning, this has cleared that up - Thanks!
I believe I saw golf cart jockey do silage bales here. He had to set them down on edge and make them tip over for them to disappear. Didnt stick around to catch midnight payout however.
You can sell bales at the BGA, if you set them on the top of the tiny wall in front of the bin. Only two square bales high so probably only one round bale high, I only do square bales so only quessing about the round bales..
I have made about 350 or more semi truck loads dumping chaff to fill the huge silos to answer ur question on how much they hold its 5,000,000 units of chaff or a bit more I topped it off cant add no more am bored hauled so many truck loads but wanted to see how much they held as well lol! I'd post a pic but cant.
Love your videos, keep it up! Two questions can you put a silage bale in the bale shredder to sell them, and how big are the silage pits you can place in comparison to the bga? Eg are the large doubles the same size as the bga.
This whole sileage thing seems like they made it a huge pain to understand. Don’t get me wrong you made it very clear but it should be this hard of a process to learn. They definitely should’ve put a better description in the tutorial menu of the game.
Thanks MrSealyp. Great video. But you can also sell the Silage in the same place than we sell the grass, close to the animal market, and you don't need to buy the land. Hope you try. Continue this way. Thanks.
Hello MrSealyp Thanks for that tutorial! Really gave me a fantastic idea! Thank you for all your good work! Best regards CEO Agro Research centre. I'm silently back in business 😉😂
Great video. I have played 20hrs ps4 pro no glitches 'yet' Played on standard ps4 for 3 hours. Many glitches. I would expect abit more quality for a 90.00 'us' game. Perhaps Giants could give players some in game currency for a bad launch. MLB the show has done this the past two years. Great vdeo MrP. saved me alot of wasted time at the Bio Plant.
I have been able to sale bales at both bga plants, BUT you have to get it to roll off the edge. Then it will sale. But it’s such a pain that it’s not even worth it.
Thanks for the reviews and how to's, Mr. SealyP. Great work of narration and providing valuable information. You patience with idiots and know it all's is impressive beyond measure. The following commentary is based on my observations from videos such as yours and official Giants previews. That being said, it seems like the hype of this latest release of this franchise is not up to expectations and I am glad that I procrastinated buying FS19. Though the graphics look polished, they aren't what I would say are improved. We still have blocky and elementary buildings and bunker silos with unrealistic sharp edges. The tractors look great but the environment still feels like like the cartooonish world of FS15 & 17. Paying what Giants is asking is not a bargain in my book. I was hoping for more from this installment but have so far been disappointed from what I see. That, and the unimaginable increase in complexity of once simple interfaces is unacceptable. It appears at least at this stage that FS19 that the hype is hyperbole. I very much enjoy your Red Dead Remption II videos and look forward to seeing more of them. Take care and the best to you and your family this Holiday season. Cheers.
Concerning price: I paid about $40 for '17. I put in over 2000 hours. That is about two pennys per hour for entertainment. You can't go to a movie for that price.
Bales are sold at the Bale Barn or Bale sell point. Digestate does not show up in the sell menu, because you are not selling digestate and the bio-gas plant does not buy digestate.
Not sure if anyone has covered this yet or not, didn't read all the comments, but in MP, the owner of the BGA is in fact the one that gets paid for the silage that gets sold. So hopefully you have an honest owner who will you pay your money if you sell there, or you can just sell your silage at the barn.
@@andrewinbody4301 true, but if you're in need of money and the BGA owner isn't online, the barn really is the only option. We really haven't figured out yet how the digestate works since the BGA owner hasn't been on in a couple days. Plus we haven't been doing much silage yet.
You forgot to mention that the biogas tank fills maximum at 50,000. You also forgot the fact if you actually take the bale of the bale spike the bale will sell.
Doug Miller I've had rain and I must say they have nailed the sound you can hear thunder roll in and the rain drops on the cab roof . It doesn't rain in the cab anymore but it's still raining in my shed and a little bit in the house
Rain sounds and looks awesome. Had to turn off withering cause it wouldn't stop raining for a couple game days.. checked every base game building and shed and all rain inside of them sadly.
good point i have played for 20 days in my game no rain.. also on PC i have the bug where all farms have weeds so there are no contracts left. If you turn off the weeds it does bring up some.
Mr sealyp, Hello my name is David, I am not a heavy online player but I do play fs15/17/19 on PS4 I do watch your videos and learn , I just saw the mods that you showed and today I was trying to place a biogas silage bunker on my land ( I took one off the gardens #3 to put the bunker, Well I can but the clippings won’t dump in the bunker This is frustrating
Wonder if the silage bale would go away if you pulled it out of the forks. What I have found in the animal areas is bales of hay/grass are accepted if you remove it from your fork. I was looking and I don't think you pulled the forks all the way out of the silage bale after you purchased the BGA.
yea you can sell silage bales at the bga plant. was abit tricky but yea the bale has to not be attached to the spike and in the correct spot. think the trigger is abit weirdly placed or something imo
We tested all this last night on multi player. I bought the bga only I was able to unload and earn the cash. But when I gave contract perms to the other farm they could unload but at midnight I received all cash that was made from the bga. This might be a pain but where working around it, as our server is going to be a semi rp server. So from now ill buy the silage from other farmers at x y amount. And all the other farmers will be contracting there spec work to all aswell.
Thanks mrSealp, i noticed on another post you get paid at midnight, and maybe you could have tried a keeping the bails on the trailer and drive into the trigger point , i would try it but havent got enough money to buy it yet
Firstly, great video, very informative guide. However, I thought of a couple of those questions you mentioned near the end. It's a question regarding multiplayer though so maybe you could employ the services of Miss SealyEG to do a follow up guide. 1) If YOU are the player who initially lays out the money to buy the BGA what happens when other players sell their silage there. Do you get a cut of whatever they sell considering it's your facility they're using? 2) If other players sell silage at your BGA does this entitle them to draw digestate from the tank? If so, how much can they draw? Can the game distinguish between what they are entitled to and what other players have put in. Looking forward to seeing a follow up, no rush though, I'm still stuck on FS 17 until I see what Santa brings ;)
Just a quick heads up mr sealy p. They is a change with the bunkers in fs19. You can’t mix grass and chaff in the same bunker anymore. It has to be either all grass in 1 bunker. Or all chaff in another.
So... If the BGA pays out at midnight, does that mean you could say... Put in a million litres of silage and the price does not change? In FS17 once you tipped a trailer load of silage into the BGA the next trailer load would drop in price? After you put in a load of silage, did you check the menu to see if the price had dropped?.... That needs to be checked.
I've just produced over 600k L of silage after chaffing corn from two of my fields. Let it ferment and loaded it up to take to the BGA to find this problem. Only, when I go to buy the land, it's going to cost me in excess of £500k! However I just found out I can still sell the silage at the barn (without buying any land) and my price is currently £631/L so I believe I'm better off without the BGA so far haha
thanks for all the comments i was just wondering cause it hasn't rained on my farm also if you play on xbox go to the new apps in store and get a free gold edition valtra tractor not sure how ps works
Thank you Mr SealyP, been waiting for this guide. I think the land buying system needs some tweaking. You cant go around and mow grass on land now unless you own it either so maybe some of this stuff needs to be patched soon. Cheers.
Thats by design, and IMO a vast improvement. You try running your tractor/mower/baler on someones elses land around here... If you manage to somehow get bales off that land, they are gonna have the distinct smell of gunpowder.
What is digestat. Can you make a tutorial that includes digestat in it?

OMG. I just had such a shitty half-hour on The Valley The Old Farm. Sold a ton (a couple hundred cubic meters) of silage at the BGA (thankfully, you automatically own it at the start on this map :D). Then, "suddenly", it said "silage is not accepted here". Google (which brought me here among other results), checking stuff in-game, reloading, driving around the block… nothing. "Silage is not accepted here". And then… I realized I had forgotten to connect the PTO (I'm playing with Manual Attach and love it). So it was my fault, BUT… the game's (or the map's? Have to check on a vanilla map) fault is the completely misleading error message. Of course, OTOH the game probably doesn't anticipate Manual Attach at all (and devs didn't anticipate something like MA either… they certainly aren't like the Nethack devs :D)
Hey Neil yep and even not using your own kit. For the bigger value contracts it’s well worth having a worker do contracts while you do things on your own farm to keep some money rolling in. Especially for anything you wouldn’t normally do like big ploughing contracts if it’s not your thing...
Hiring workers is stupid in this Game. They still get paid at the same effing rate no matter what the Time Scale is set to. At "Real Time", they're getting paid like 30 Dollars per Minute!!! That's $1,800/Hr.....Yeah, soooooo gooooood.......
I just realized that Davenport, USA is the German cover up!!!! Lol Because I notice German words sign on some placeable buildings and itself building area too.
Could you please do the bga on Ravenport easy mode ? I bought the land around it but can't seem to buy the plant . Also the prices do not show up on the market listing. Help please
Dear Mr SealyP. On New Woodshire I've had several times that when selling manure or slurry to the biogass plant, after 1,5 load i get an message saying. No more capacity for manure (or slurry). And this after putting barely 80.000 liters (per in game day) into the biogass pit. 🤔 And im drowning in manure and slurry. Lol. I need to sell it. Bc i do only animals. 😊 Is there a maximum of selling to the biogass plant on a daily basis? On New Woodshire?
I think that if Giants was serious about this whole build your own farm thing they should have made the biogas digester a placeable, but I guess since it's already a huge pain to try and find a flat spot big enough for a cow pen then that would have been too much.

Your right Allen. He does a great job. Can't make everybody happy. Keep up the good work MSP.
I just learned from this video that the BGA pays 500/1000L for silage after selling millions of liters to the barn for ~200.
Yeap. Thought the same
It says it sells for 360 for me... I've tried to change the currencies, but it stays at 360 for some reason. That means that you don't really need the biogass plant anymore, you need a bunker and just sell it to the barn, i've seen it around the same sell price before.

why i have to buy the BGA so i can sell my products!!!!!, if i own it that means i sell to my self?!! that is weird !!!!
I think of it like this: you buy the bga so you can turn the silage you put in it into bio gas which then is sold to whoever is buying it
@@adamjonda6115 the silage is turned into gas the gas powers a generator witch makes power witch is sold to the power grid

If you like, you can add a small silo display next to the digestate tank, to display the current storage. This works with the modular BGA too.
Cheers.
Will a bale shredder work also, or do we have to use the feed mixing wagon? @@C20F
@@C20F thank you for tip. I will give that a go 👍
Great video Mr sealyp very excited to get fs19 soon and start my journey
Thanks for sharing that, I'm used to the old FS17 way and read on the forums you have to buy the business now, wasn't sure what they were meaning, this has cleared that up - Thanks!
I believe I saw golf cart jockey do silage bales here. He had to set them down on edge and make them tip over for them to disappear. Didnt stick around to catch midnight payout however.
Someone on the forum talked about putting bales in a particular spot to sell them. Might just need to play around to find the sweet spot again.
Nice one, MrSealyP! Helpful and informative as ever!
You can sell bales at the BGA, if you set them on the top of the tiny wall in front of the bin. Only two square bales high so probably only one round bale high, I only do square bales so only quessing about the round bales..
Your vids are literally the best...love them!! I subscribed!!!
Finally, a fellow ps4 fs19 player!
Thanks.
Nice one MrSealyp, that gets a big thumbs up from me.
I just filled one with 5.2 million liters with some room to spare...
Was that on console or PC?
Must be PC cause you would of had to edit the cap of the digester
@@christopherholliday1567 Console... xbox
Hello MrSealyp
Thanks for that tutorial!
If you don't want to earn the money then cheat it
Thanks for that "guide to" video it was a great help, you have answered a good few questions.
I have been able to sale bales at both bga plants, BUT you have to get it to roll off the edge. Then it will sale. But it’s such a pain that it’s not even worth it.
The trigger is so small, it might as well not be there lol I'm sure it will be fixed in the next update!
Wow I feel kind of dumb. I should’ve expected that the BGA paid out at midnight. Alright full steam ahead on corn silage.
awesome video. I have never understood the Biogas plant. I have done silage with the cows and things but never at the BGA
@@andrewinbody4301
Good for you... Enjoy it all you want, that doesn't diminish my opinions.
No wonder I couldn't get the BGA to accept my silage, thanks for the vids
Awsome vids i have been watching your vids since fs 15 good job keep up the good work cheers
Thanks for the brilliant guide. I'm guessing you could use the bale blower to deliver the baled silage in the BGA receptor.
Bales are sold at the Bale Barn or Bale sell point. Digestate does not show up in the sell menu, because you are not selling digestate and the bio-gas plant does not buy digestate.
Lmfao, yup. Wish I'd have seen this before I started silage. Time to restart the map.
Not sure if anyone has covered this yet or not, didn't read all the comments, but in MP, the owner of the BGA is in fact the one that gets paid for the silage that gets sold. So hopefully you have an honest owner who will you pay your money if you sell there, or you can just sell your silage at the barn.
The thing about selling at the barn is there is no free digestate.
For multiplayer only the farm that has purchased the bga can make use of it.
yeah, we've just find. even when you grant contract for another farms. fs19 i being disappointing in some ways, hope they will fix it :(
@@RadekNiec If Giants doesn't fix it, hopefully someone will port over the placeable mini-bga from 17
Thanks MrSealyp, very helpful video.
Thanks for your time sir, a very informative video . Please can you make a series of videos to assist new players to farming. Thank you
Can't wait for CoursePlay to do the tedious compacting
oh wow thats so interesting with all the BGA thanks for the great video!
Thanks Mr p has it rained on your farm yet? No rain here I guess that's how they fixed the rain in cab lol
I haven't had any rain yet either
Doug Miller I've had rain and I must say they have nailed the sound you can hear thunder roll in and the rain drops on the cab roof . It doesn't rain in the cab anymore but it's still raining in my shed and a little bit in the house
Rain sounds and looks awesome. Had to turn off withering cause it wouldn't stop raining for a couple game days.. checked every base game building and shed and all rain inside of them sadly.
Sound is good. Still goes through roofs tho
good point i have played for 20 days in my game no rain.. also on PC i have the bug where all farms have weeds so there are no contracts left. If you turn off the weeds it does bring up some.
Your videos are really helpful and informative
Mr sealyp,
Hello my name is David,
I am not a heavy online player but I do play fs15/17/19 on PS4
I do watch your videos and learn ,
I just saw the mods that you showed and today I was trying to place a biogas silage bunker on my land ( I took one off the gardens #3 to put the bunker,
Well I can but the clippings won’t dump in the bunker
This is frustrating
Wonder if the silage bale would go away if you pulled it out of the forks. What I have found in the animal areas is bales of hay/grass are accepted if you remove it from your fork. I was looking and I don't think you pulled the forks all the way out of the silage bale after you purchased the BGA.
Farmer Klein it fall’s into the tub and you can’t get it back out
yea you can sell silage bales at the bga plant. was abit tricky but yea the bale has to not be attached to the spike and in the correct spot. think the trigger is abit weirdly placed or something imo
And all the other farmers will be contracting there spec work to all aswell.
the digestate is the slurry. slurry comes from cows and digestate from bga.so you wont find slurry on the menu for the bga
Thanks mrSealp, i noticed on another post you get paid at midnight, and maybe you could have tried a keeping the bails on the trailer and drive into the trigger point , i would try it but havent got enough money to buy it yet
It figures! FS 19 overall is not a replacement for FS17!!! Great info!
Thank you kind sir...this helped a ton👍
Hi! Great video. Thank you. A question: Where do you sell what you put inside the last truck? The green tank one. Thanks in advance.
Just a quick heads up mr sealy p. They is a change with the bunkers in fs19. You can’t mix grass and chaff in the same bunker anymore. It has to be either all grass in 1 bunker. Or all chaff in another.
That is interesting. When you cut grass with a forage harvester with the disc-header will it be just cut grass or does the forager turn it into chaff?
Btw you can only sell each type of bale at the barn
I tried it last night you cart sell bails thanks for the video I thought it was my game broken
Great video. Well done.
From what I have seen currently it doesn't drop after every load but not sure how often price changes.
In '17 the digester would only hold 50,000L. Is that still the case?
@@andrewinbody4301 The overfill popup shows a capacity of 800,000 ltrs
Have heard that bga prices are fixed, as never change up or down, but that might change in the future.
Thanks for that I was so confused
I've just produced over 600k L of silage after chaffing corn from two of my fields. Let it ferment and loaded it up to take to the BGA to find this problem. Only, when I go to buy the land, it's going to cost me in excess of £500k! However I just found out I can still sell the silage at the barn (without buying any land) and my price is currently £631/L so I believe I'm better off without the BGA so far haha
Great video SealyP!
Ahh now it makes sense. Great vid 👍🏻
Love the clouds
great vids man
thanks for all the comments i was just wondering cause it hasn't rained on my farm also if you play on xbox go to the new apps in store and get a free gold edition valtra tractor not sure how ps works
Thanks a million!! Was so frustrated with this!!
Thanks Sealy P.
Very nice video. Thank you.
Just found out that you can hire a worker by mistake to do the contract for you when using your own vehicle.👍🚜
I want an ethanol plant to sell corn to. At least in the American map! And a biodiesel plant that will take soybeams
Best map ever thank you and almosta farm 😅
I just realized that Davenport, USA is the German cover up!!!! Lol Because I notice German words sign on some placeable buildings and itself building area too.
Bales at the Barn not the BGP (P is for PLANT) [where does the A come in?]
The A stands for Anlage, which is German for plant
Great vid, thanks again!
🤔
And im drowning in manure and slurry.
Lol.
I need to sell it. Bc i do only animals. 😊
Is there a maximum of selling to the biogass plant on a daily basis? On New Woodshire?
I thought I was watching squirrel untill I looked at the name this guy sounds so much like squirrel
very helpful guide
Thank you for helping you really did help
Thank you!
All bale types can be sold at the barn
Is silage prices generally better at the BGA compared to the barn?
