Pastor David, the only other person that I have ever heard call the Bible, OUR OWNERS' MANUEL, was my mother!! She always told me that if I followed the 'instructions' in it, I would find great joy in my life.
She also called it God's Love Letter to me (or anyone). Every Bible I own, first thing I do is open it up to Genesis and write DEAR SHARON and then go to the end of the book of Revelation and write LOVE, GOD.

When someone says they don't have time for an hour sermon...where I'm from they'd preach 3-4 hours and then have service again the next day.

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (August 30), this passage, along with James 5:7-12, was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "Two Kinds of Wisdom." Sadly, due to the Corona Virus outbreak, Sunday School activities at my church have been suspended until further notice.

It seems that we all have a mixture of heavenly and earthly wisdom, and the struggle is making sure we use the heavenly, and dismiss the earthly. God help us all to be wise in your eyes.

James 3:13-18 is amazing! Things we do that cause bitter envy and strife are devilish! So many things cause confusion, envy and strife. Insurance and taxation are two that I just can’t understand because it’s total confusion. Few can understand their lengthy house insurance, and when a flood or wildfire destroys their house they find out that this is the one thing they thought they had but they didn’t, so they’ve paid lots of money every month for (2-30-40) years but when they need it they get nothing. People who could never afford it are just left out in the cold, and I’ll bet most people will think they’re homeless because they didn’t know how to manage their money or spent it wildly, but they never think it might be caused by a lengthy illness so their company has to let them go (“Fired!”) because they need someone who can do the work. And insurance causes bitter envy because the rich have money to buy insurance but the poor don’t through no fault of their own. Health insurance is similar, the poorest can’t ever afford to buy it, which shows it isn’t their own fault, but now we can see that the problem is the wage, which is the cause of all the world’s problems, especially the cause of world poverty... and all crimes and wars. All people should own all things worldwide so there isn’t any poverty, and work part time. Taxation is total confusion and I admire anyone who can understand any of that! And the poor envy the rich who often pay no taxes at all. Google it, and see UA-cam. The working poor have to pay taxes, lots, and they get audited and sometimes it ruins families for the rest of their lives. Unequal wealth even causes many problems within families, including the worst like the Menendez brothers who killed their parents to get their inheritance, because their parents told them at a certain age they had to go out and work and make their own money, but maybe they couldn’t ever get hired and/or they sure couldn’t make enough for their dreams they maybe had as children and believed all things were possible, but when 24 comes and all the wages are too low, like it says, “Oppression absolutely makes a wise man insane.” God’s WHOLE PURPOSE has always been to end oppression on the whole earth, see Isaiah 14:24-27! It’s amazing. These things like insurance and taxation and the wage are all idolatry, false ways that never help ALL PEOPLE WORLDWIDE. They’re Satan’s ways, not God’s. God want us to get rid of the wage and all of its idols, and give all people a Universal Basic Income, which is the fountain of living waters, and fountains overflow forever. Water can also refer to money, see the dictionary. God bless everyone.

The hell bound crowd are discered by they want you to forgive them for everything under the sun whether severe or minor but the first time they think you have done something to them they'll never let it go. There's specific things for the church to recognize in the ungodly who call themselves saints. We should not judge unbelievers but we must have order in the church of believers as outlined in the Epistles. One thing I've realized is there's a lot of people who consider themselves Christian because they simply mentally assent to the existence of a God. And the other is too many preacher's and evangelist's have told people they were saved for claiming they repented & believed. And the Bible never tells us to get decisions for Christ. The Bible tells us to disciple those who would believe. So it's mandatory for a believer to enlist their energy to know the Bible. We can know the Spirit in our heart as we know the Bible. The Spirit speaks but we cannot discern the Spirit from other spirits until we know the Word.

Was this video rushed? It's shorter than the other videos on James. Also, at around 21:16 are worldly people included in this blanket statement ? Because John 15:18 says 18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Also, Jesus did not have a magnetic personality as the religious leaders wanted him dead and even the crowd turned on him even though Pontius Pilate presented Barabbas as an alternative.

It can certainly be said that people who exhibit these kinds of behaviors are generally more attractive to be around than mean spirited, critical people.
The more direct application from the passage is that James is especially speaking about Christians. As far as Jesus having that "magnetic personality", the Bible tells us that "the common people heard him gladly". (Mark 12:37)
So yes, many of the public citizens turned against him, yet we read that there was another group of citizens that were very attracted to Jesus because of how he lives, what he did, and what he said.
      Hope that this helps. Blessings.

I'm not really a religious person I believe more science. But the other night I had this dream it was weird I Don really remember it tbh.. but all that stands out to me is the number 3.13 and I think the end number could have been 3.13.18 not a 100% sure but all I can remember for sure is the name James and the number 3.13 I typed the number into UA-cam and this came up. Does any body have any insight into this. What could it mean

You're talking about the wisdow that God bestowed on us but as God said that he created everything so that means that he made the devil which really means that he made the evil in the world so he is technically creating the evil and overriding his own rules.

      Anzac,
God created all things, yes. He created all beings with a free will. Satan was originally created to be a beautiful angel, and there seems to be much Biblical evidence that Satan was the director of music in Heaven. Imagine what a gift and privilege that was. Satan did nothing to deserve that great experience, but God blessed him with it.
God also blessed Satan with a free will, and because of his beauty, Satan became proud and wanted to be like God. Satan forfeited his place in Heaven because of pride.
Imagine a world where people and angels had no free will. Love wouldn't exist, nor would kindness. Love isn't love if it is forced. Love has to be a choice of the will. So God in His wisdom has given man and angels free will.
God didn't create evil, but he allows people to choose it, because free will also means that they can choose to love God and people.
      Hope this helps!
