- Antiques Road Trip. Paul Laidlaw buys a vert early pocket camera for £60- it sold for £20,000! Shame the auction house didn't waive the commission, but £16k + is a huge amount for Children In Need.
Thanks for watching- don't forget to like and subscribe!
Paul Laidlaw gets some bargains but that's the best one ever
I know, I couldn't believe it seeing how much it sold for! And he looks like so much fun too
howdy?~ Patsy- that is great upload! have a nice day~ )
Thank you! I watched it again yesterday- gave me goosebumps! Wish I could find a bargain like that lol
I remember a Rolex being sold at auction for £80k. Half way through the bidding, the auctioneer started crying and somebody else took over the bidding...
£80k- wow! Seen some on Antiques Roadshow with Rolexes, some are worth crazy amounts!
If this was for children in need then you have to question the whole story £60 to £20000 seems to good to be true
Every episode has always been money for children in need- they usually only make a few hundred if that each programme, but turned out this was a very rare early pocket camera. It was bought in a shop in Margate I think
Some people with all the luck.
If I had a camera that cost £60,000, it would sell at an auction for £20.
Then again, I never had and I know that I never will have more than a couple of Thousand Pounds.
That would be just my luck as well 😂
It’s a charitable donation.
I think after auction fees they still had 16 grand or so for comic relief! I watch this series and usually they may only make a few hundred profit (if that) by the end of the week, so this was a record!
