The best sone East 17 ever did in my opinion. Takes me back to being about 14 years old, chasing the girls, experimenting with soft drugs, HOUSE PARTIES!!, and everything else that made the 90's great.
Italian 41 yo, they were my guilty pleasure in my 13-14 :D they had some solid tunes. This one is still good as almost 30 year ago even in this soft version.
East 17’s 6th Single It’s Alright (The Guv’nor Mix) originally peaked at #3 in UK on 9 January 1994. This (The Ballad Mix ‘94) is quite possibly the one that charted at #25 in UK on 6 February 1994.
Tony Mortimer really is underated as a song writer and composer. If take away the 90's cheesy beats from some of his songs, underneath they are pretty great.
This is so much better than the dance version. Dance version sounds like another annoying pop tune for me. Amazing how a song can be transformed from crap to masterpiece simply by slowing it down.
You are calling the original version crap? Are you serious? This version is nice too, but it's not a complete song, you can hear very clearly it is a version, filled with some extra sounds. And the refrain is missing. Sorry, but this is not a very great composition and even less a masterpiece The original song is a masterpiece, especially because it is changing from a ballad to a powerful dance song with a higher impact (and back to a ballad at the end). That was a great contrast and a song you can still listen to today and have fun with. A song isn't better because you just slow it down.
Wow!!!!!
Incredible version.
No East 17 without Brian Harvey!! They needed that voice.
GIve Tony some credit this is an absolutely beautifully composed piece of music even without the lyrics.
@@davebeat Both of them complemented each other. There is no East apart...
Tony Mortimer is really an amazing song writer. He doesnt get the recognition he deserves.
