Dear Smyang, I wonder if you remember me. About 9 months ago I commented on another one of your videos that when I was writing my bachelor paper, your compilations would be the only thing that would be playing in the background. The paper ended up getting 70% and I was that professor's best student that year (who is not easy to please). I ended my comment stating that I'd be writing my master thesis the following year and would be sure to put your music to good use. Well, fastforward to now: I couldn't be more proud to announce that I was able to finish my master thesis and received 70% for it, which is incredible since it was graded by the same professor I mentioned before, it was a very rough process since I had a lot going on personally (+ bc of covid...) and was afraid I wouldn't make it in time. But I did it, and looped this lofi 'Still With You' version countless times in the process, not once getting bored of it. But that is not all, as I consistently worked hard and was able to get really good grades in general this year, it gives me great pleasure to announce that I got my (first) master's degree cum laude! I'll be starting my last year at university next week during which I will have to write a thesis again (unfortunately, not looking forward to that haha) but I'm sure that with you and your music by my side, Smyang, I will be able to do it. Dear Smyang, hi friend, it's me again :) it's been 3 years since I messaged you and pretty much just ranted on the internet (note: more like screamed into the void, as one does) about entering my 2nd master course in university after writing both my bachelor paper and my 1st master thesis with your music playing in the background. Many times it occurred to me that I had yet to update you on how all of that went, but then life got ahead of me and I pushed it aside, until here we are now. I turned out to love working on my second thesis even more than the first and managed to get 70% on that one also (just as the first one, who would've thought!). I then went on to graduate university cum laude and started a job in international sales, which I still love doing now, 2 years later. In the meantime I moved out of my college dorm and went to live alone, I met someone who I thought was the love of my life but turned out to... not be that lol and slowly but surely turned into a 26 year old, somewhat functional adult (I'm not entirely sure how that happened to be honest with you) navigating the absolute chaos that is life alongside the wonderful people I met along the way. On the one hand, it feels exceptionally weird to look back on all of this as well as the person I was in general. A foetus, basically, sitting at the desk of her dorm room (BTS shrine in the right corner, duh), researching her thesis topics and having your music play in the background. On the other hand, I'm glad I'm able to look back on this; whilst rereading my previous messages to you I felt the uncertainty I had when I was 20 through 23 and would like to honor both that growth as well as just how much can change in 1 year - let alone 6. Don't get me wrong though; I'm very aware of just how much all of this sounds like a success story when in reality there were some particularly dark days (weeks) (months) and (what felt like) monumentous struggles I had to overcome. I refuse to glorify the latter despite "hustle culture" blatantly normalizing the actual amount of pressure that's being put on the shoulders of young people. As I've moved into adulthood I've gradually let BTS go but have found peace with that as they helped me grow into the person I am today and accompanied me through the hard times. It often makes me think of Namjoon's speech that started with something along the lines of "to all the friends joining us on our journey, the ones who've left through the door but also the ones that often come back to catch up on old times". That honestly never ceases to hit home. I think this will be my last message to you Smyang, although I can see that your last post was 2 years ago and you've probably moved on with life also so you probably won't see this anymore. That's alright with me though as my words will go into the universe for you to read and will be waiting for you there. In any case; thank you, friend, for keeping me company throughout my uni life and allowing me to draw both strength as well as relief from your music. POV: it’s a rainy sunday morning, you have a big exam coming up, so you decide to stop by at a coffee house to study. You play you’re comfort playlist to help you focus easier. You pull out you’re textbooks, when all of a sudden this man bumps into you and spills his coffee on you and your books. Frustrated, you start to go off on that guy (as you should queen). He feels bad and begs you for your forgiveness, and even offers to tak you to the book store downtown to pick up a new copy, but you being the stubborn bitch you are, refuses and helps him clean up his coffee. Feeling bad, he offers to help you study, then sits down without an answer. After a while, you’re temper has cooled down and started to make a convo with him. You learned that he is a major in performance arts, just like you, and he had just moved to the area. He offers again to help you get a new copy, and you agree. He drives you over to the local bookstore and you hand him your stained book. He tells you he has a second copy of the same book from his previous school, and offers to bring the book to you. You hesitate, then agree. At the corner of your eye, you see and newly released manga you have been dying to read. You walk over to the book to observe it. As soon as you grab the book, he pulls you book from your hand. “you like mangas too?” he says. You nodded your head. He offers to buy you the copy, but you decline the offer. You look at your watch, the realize that it was getting late, so you thank him and told him to meet at the café to give you the book after your schooling hours, and he agrees. He walked to you the local bus station, and waits with you until the next bus comes. He pulls out his phone and plays his playlist, similar to yours. “you like ____ too?” you ask. “yeah, he/she/they has been my idol since birth” he says, gazing into the blurring headlights of passing cars. You start to observe his face, his hooded/doubled sparkling eyes makes him look innocent, his nose is just so perfect, and his mouth, well you can’t see it because of his mask, but when he pulls out his water bottle, his lips are soft and curved at the right spots. His faces is just so symmetrical, and his fluffy brown hair ruffles in the wind. Your hearts starts to beat, and you start to feel lighter. “Oh look, the bus is here, stay safe, byee” he says, pointing towards the blinding bus. You wave, gathering all your things. He stares at you as you walk toward the bus, and you see his eyes smiling. You walk onto the bus, and sit down, and look his directions. He quickly looks away, standing up. You chuckle as you pull out your phone. The next day, you wake up to walk to school. You see buses, kids, the café you went to, remembering the guy you met. Your heart starts to vibrate. You see the parking lot of your school, and pull up to the front door. You walk through the chaos of the loud halls, kids pushing you left and right. You get to your classroom, sitting down next to your childhood bestie, Evelyn. “OMG HEY IVYY!, GOD DANG YOU LOOK LIKE YOU HAVEN’T SLEPT IN WEEKS-“ she exclaims. “yeah, well i met this guy yesterday who spilled coffee on my stupid books” you say, still frustrated. “No fucking way... who is he? i’ll beat him up for you.” she says, cracking her knuckles. “Haha, no it’s okay, he made up for it. he offered to give me a second copy from his old school, he just moved to this area.” you say, taking her hands and lowering them. “oh, okay, what does he look like? is he cute? tall? maybe about 6’0?” she says, leaning closer. “uhh, yeah his face is pretty, and he’s tall ig, i mean, anyone is taller than me...” you say. Suddenly, a guy walks into the classroom. The class quiets, watching him enter the class, whispering “woah he’s cute”. He seems to look familiar, but you can’t pinpoint exactly why. “oooOooOoh, we have a new student. He’s so cute omg..” Evelyn says, fixing up her hair. The guy peers your direction and waves. “Quick act natural” she says, picking up her phone. “Heyy wassup!! Didn’t i see you yesterday?” He says, walking toward you and takes a seat. “Oh hiii, yeah, i think so” you say, looking at you friend, who is in awe. “Here, I brought the book in my bag, and accidentally bought two coffees” he says handing you both a hook and a coffee. You take a sip as he watches. “is it good?” he asks. You nodded ferociously, going in for another sip. He covers his mouth to chuckle. You smile a bit, looking at your friend, who is still in awe. “Oh by the way, I’m Yukii, what’s you’re name?” he asks, pulling out a notebook “I’m Ivy” you say. “Ivy, that sounds waaay familiar. Oh well.” He says, taking a sip of his coffee.

the sudden sound of rain washes the door.
You turn around to see a person enter in casually half wet, he shakes off a bit of the water from his hair.

He was tired and sleepy but couldn't sleep just because to spend time with you. He saw you right away and asked you to sat near with him. You went to him slowly and sat and that moment he also covered you with his blanket. You're feeling warm. Your heart uis beating fast that it mght explode. Its driving yo crazy but you dont want to stop him because you love him. He started cuddling with you. He grabbed you so tightly and still with you is playing in background. After some moment you realize he fall asleep at your shoulder and blabbering-"will you love me back if i say i love you?"
