Oh, come on! I like them too. Obviously, I don’t fit whatever demographic Facebook’s algorithms say follow this channel cause I sure can't afford a watch like these.
What a blessing that the two of you found each other. Your dynamic as a couple makes us all envious. Katie: brains, beauty and brawn. And Greg you ain’t so bad either 🥰👵 lov’n on you both from Ottawa
Wow you guys are amazing. And Katie you are a lot stronger than you look .Did you guys think about putting your saw mill where the old one was under that building.Or maybe put a roof over the mill where it is,so you can use it more often in the bad weather.Ed from Michigan
Please, you've got to consider heat tracing the solar panels. You can put batteries behind the panels. Use a thermostat to control the heating elements. Use photo eyes to determine whether or not there is snow on the panels. Have a camera to view the panel surface. Send the camera picture back via fiber optic.
My hope is and I know they are thinking about it. The sawmill goes under the shelter in the spring/summer and that will produce the lumber to build the sheds for the equipment. Fingers crossed!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
Those pesky side branches do get in the way when you’re trying to chainsaw a trunk to a suitable length. But once you have cut them off the main trunk, it makes it so much easier to person handle. (did you notice the politically correct way I mentioned who was going to do the work).
Hey guys some comments made are a real killjoy, pay no mind to them the whole lot of the rest of us love your channel and secretly wish we were there with you, playing in the snow in the sunshine, with the dogs and breathing that fresh mountain air. Maybe even doing some of the work, but with 2 canes I would be relegated to making cups of coffee. I envy you and wish you well.❤
Almost every video I sit here with a grin because you two are awesome ❤ love watching you guys grow up there... still here watching as long as you keep sharing...❤❤❤
Their land is on a slope, it takes a lot to find a good site and the mill needs to be leveled everytime. In one of their past posts they showed the effort it takes to position and level it. They know what they are doing. The present site is working. Perhaps they will build a shed over it.
wow;; looks like fun to me;;;lol;;;;think I would find som iron standups and not use the panels fo hauling logs that way you can get them off with tractor and the rest won't fall off;;;can even load over the standups to haul more if the trailer can stand more;;;lol;;;just thinking here;;;;lol;;;no hot tub today;;;;;I bet that girl could throw you out of bed if she wanted to;;;lol;;;anyway we enjoyed;;;thumbs up and keep em comin;;;;was thinkin bout coming up and helping her get that log out but my tricycle has two flats so it don't matter she got it out anyway;;;;;;we gone
Now that looked like a fun and productive day in the woods. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Glad to see that you take time, even in the middle of the winter, to visit with and catch up with friends. Friends are the mortar that keeps our life solid when the winds of adversity blow. And it looks like you had a few tuckered out puppy dogs by the end of the day. Loved this video; I spent a lot of years cutting trees and hauling logs for firewood but, at 73 years of age, I'm not up to the task anymore. So I love to watch you guys working in the woods with the tractor and chain saws.
Hi you two. If I may suggest something... When you go out with the trailer to harvest logs, take the sides of the trailer right off and use 4 poles mounted in the holes that the sides mount in. Then if you can find one for "the right price", mount a ski-boat manual "winch" at the hitch side to be able to pull the logs into the trailer. @SkinnersOffGrid built his "logging trailer" like that but Cecil went all fancy and made a battery powered hydraulic hoist arm to help with the loading and unloading. He (Cecil) then unloads the logs straight onto his mill for cutting. Just an observation - you guys do you - but efficiency saves energy.
Do y'all hunt deer for their meat? Best meat there is . I know y'all are talking about putting the goats over in the new area where the old sawmill was , but Y'all really need a place to put all of your tractor equipment , the tractor , the wood chipper any other stuff that needs to be out of the rain and snow. The snow looked so soft and fluffy . I'll be glad when y'all's weather clears up to nice sunshiny days so y'all can get back to your outdoor projects like the siding and building the deck for your front door ( I think that is what you called it in the video) . Y'all have some pretty chickens and they all look healthy . Do you feed them chicken eggs? Y'all need some sheep so you can shear them for their fur.. but I know y'all already have a lot on your plates. Take care .
I’ve never had an electronic watch operate more than a day on my wrist. Mechanical wind up was the only thing that would stay running. I stopped wearing a watch while I was an electrician. Never went back to wearing one. 😊
I'm jealous of your fluffy snow! ❄️ I've been meaning to say that I've really been enjoying your music picks lately. The videos for the last month or so have had such lovely music, that seems to match your vibe so well. Love it. 😊
Forest looked beautiful on the conifers , Fun watching the dogs enjoying the snow. Nice haul of logs folks soon Spring will arrive you'll be milling, I myself am counting the days until spring. awesome video.
Cutting lumber in the winter. I miss those days; we use to do it every winter for lumber for the mill and firewood for a couple years down the road. those were the days that will be in your memory for the rest of your lives.
Look at that Beautiful snow. I already said this, Katie, what a beautiful lady, your fur baby's love playing and going for walks. You and Greg are so cute together. I love seeing all your episodes. Big hugs from Santa Barbara. Stay blessed & Safe. 😘🤗🙏🍷🌹💕👏😎
You are both so blessed to have this life, please watch your backs, no log is worth pain.I hurt mine and suffer I don’t want you to do the same. The snow is beautiful. Thanks for your videos.🌺🌺
Being in Australia I look at where your house is and worry about wildfires. We have gum trees in Australia which burn with a lethal ferocity but whilst being a policeman I dealt with Ash Wednesday bushfires in South Australia and was in the hills near (about 475 yards or 400 metres) away from a pine forest that went up and couldn’t stay because of the heat. Do you off gridders have fire plans? I don’t want to jinx you in anyway but just wondering. 👏🇦🇺😁
Awesome video hey Greg are you trying to kill Katie y’all picking up logs when you got a tractor with forks work smarter not harder man the snow is beautiful
Why do you cut the logs up? Why spend the energy, effort, time to cut them to length, load them on the trailer, when you could just drag them behind the pickup and later cut them with the chain saw at the mill? With the snow on the road, they'd slide really easy.
I'm still very confused y you collect logs that good only for firewood too cut for lumber?and green trees you cut for firewood doesn't make much sense to me.
I am an avid viewer of your videos and enjoy them to the max. I am a long time fan, however, what’s the story on your new dog ? I watch all your vids but must have missed one. Please tell a bit of his appearance. Tks

You two have the sweetest relationship. I love how you talk to each other. Greg is such a dear and love how he loves you, Katie.
You two are so skilled with moving those trees & tractors & trailers! Puppies need puppy shoes to keep snow out of their pads🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
they had tons of snowballs stuck to their fur!
What a blessing that the two of you found each other. Your dynamic as a couple makes us all envious. Katie: brains, beauty and brawn. And Greg you ain’t so bad either 🥰👵 lov’n on you both from Ottawa

No we won’t put the mill there. We need a better spot for the goats
Ya you got snow! ...so did we... all gone this past 5 days
its warming up nd raining here

I think I'd put as much of your equipment as possible under the roof of the old sawmill to keep it out of the weather.
My hope is and I know they are thinking about it. The sawmill goes under the shelter in the spring/summer and that will produce the lumber to build the sheds for the equipment. Fingers crossed!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
that doesn't seem to be how greg thinks, old run down trucks and rust rules.
Those pesky side branches do get in the way when you’re trying to chainsaw a trunk to a suitable length.

Good afternoon to you all
Hi Katie and Greg. I would have to have a king sized bed just so I could cuddle up with the dogs lol
Hard work in the cold and snow, but y'all got it
I wish you could get a map of north America and show everyone where you are located!
Yep, it's been a mild winter so far so being able to take advantage is a nice thing.
What a beautiful walk!
Agree, rain will ruin that beautiful snow and view you two have... ❤
Congrats on the 100k!
Great music choices!
What beautiful lighting on that sunny day. So gorgeous!
Your Dogs get my Beagle excited when they run through the snow
Wow what a gorgeous day!! 🎉
Almost every video I sit here with a grin because you two are awesome ❤ love watching you guys grow up there... still here watching as long as you keep sharing...❤❤❤
The deer were curious about the sound of the chain saw. Turn the radio on in the truck and they would come right up to the truck.
Katie you and Greg work together as a great team keep up the hard work you, s are doing and God bless you, s amen
Puppy's like snow, what snow.
15:27 Greg took it back because he knows she could if she wanted to! 😂 Just kidding, you guys are awesome and I love you bunches. ❤😊
Love your channel❤
Good work 👍
We love your channel
Hey Greg just curious - why you didn’t put your solar panels on your roof?? Thanks
Too many trees
Hi Kids, i hope y'all have a great day. En
Good Job. Thats good wood. What type of wood? FIR?
You know I can barely get out of bed on a snow day like that, let alone work outside in it...
Beautiful country, you guys live in.❤
You two are amazing! Have you considered using the new structure for the mill then you could cut year around
we need a better area for the goats so it'll get turned into a barn for them
Use it now for the tractor n vehicles out of the snow.
Why are you not working on moving the sawmill
Their land is on a slope, it takes a lot to find a good site and the mill needs to be leveled everytime. In one of their past posts they showed the effort it takes to position and level it. They know what they are doing. The present site is working. Perhaps they will build a shed over it.
why wouldntyou have backed up to the shed to unload the hay instead of loading it on the forks of the tractor?
snow and getting the truck stuck
FREE VITAMIN "D" is great !
Hi from the PNW. awesome content
The dogs looked more like porpoises....
Don't eat the yellow snow 😀
The puppy will get giant correct?
yes
Gonna need sum wood chips soon mud is coming lol
Great channel
I haven't been paying attention when where and how did you guys get the new puppy the tan one?
You guys plowed a path through the new property, where does that go to?
theres a secondary access through our neighbors
Greg, don't go to bed fighting. That's where you celebrate compromise. 🤕
Katie why did you desire to live there
😊💕👍🌲
put the camera on a try pod and help her
I'm sorry the music sounds like a sitcom from the 70's dedicated to watching a house plant die over a 23 day period. Rrr!
How much are u making on youtube ?? LU

You two are so full of....energy! And your dogs, I think your dog food supplier should sponsor a video.
As a long time subscriber I absolutely love ❤your videos including Beautiful Katie’s enthusiasm.❤❤

If only you knew where to get new wooden trailer side rails. 😉 Warmer and rain is not going to be fun on top of the snow. Thanks for the episode.
All of your dogs have such beautiful coloring and markings on them.
Snowball is definitely a cool puppy.
Remind me of our 7 month old.
Puppy
Gregg, Will you relocate your mill to the new overhead shed. Seems like a good spot for milling.

Love y’all’s channel. Y’all work so hard.
Another lovely video I love watching you guys❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Why do you cut the logs up? Why spend the energy, effort, time to cut them to length, load them on the trailer, when you could just drag them behind the pickup and later cut them with the chain saw at the mill? With the snow on the road, they'd slide really easy.
It’s time to rebuild your trailer. 😅 I keep saying, you need to start building a shop. 😊
Hi guys. That fork lift is really working for you guys now. Another good video. Thanks. From CC, TX. God Bless.
