Nice bro I’m a fellow Detroit grew up there with a lot ppl from the south that came to Detroit to work in the auto plants my best friend his family was from Tennessee went there with him a few times. He’s now retired and living in Tennessee with his family. I grew up in southwest Detroit, Graduated from Southwestern high school in 1984 . ..
I was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. Far from the southern states, but Missouri does have its southern parts if you know where to look for them. And since my family was part of that, I knew exactly where to look. I was raised in the suburbs, but the most genuine people were those people in the rural areas. Working hard every day. Seeing everyone as a friend. Not seeing any difference between one person or another based on race or religion. There’s a reason the phrase “southern hospitality” exists. You can find some of that in Missouri for sure!
A great way to say, it's a blessing to be from the South. Wouldn't trade anywhere or anything for it. TG couldn't have summed it up in rhyme and rhythm better.

My favorite CW song.
This is the kind of song you wanna play with the windows down in your pick up truck on Sunday afternoon entering kentucky
My side of the world you would play this song while driving back home in an afternoon breeze after having a lovely lunch in a popular restaurant. Something I share with you is....I'd also keep my windows down :-)
Or Alabama.🙂
Or Georga or Tennesee
I don't know why anyone would want to enter Kentucky
I want "Jeopardy" to use this as a question because I want to know if anyone pays attention to the lyrics (Name anyone mentioned in "Southern Voice". "Who is Charlie Daniels?")
Love this song. It's a classic....
Such a great southern voice
this is an awsome song
I have always loved this song because I live across the bay from Apalachicola where the Apalachicola River runs out in the bay then the gulf.
Wow. Which means you have a sentimental attachment to the song. Thank you
I love this song
Amen
My folks live in Apalachicola and i live in CA, will turn this up all the time and brings me the best memories
Country to the bone
