A postal delivery person has more courage then cops.
@lambsypte4482 U r exactly right. I worked for the "brown" company roughly 30 yrs ago, and was met almost daily by dogs who were just doing their instinctual duty to protect their owners and home. During those deliveries, I just calmly walked to the house, placed the package and went back to my truck - all the while with the dog walking right by my side. This is one of the reasons I taught my children to absolutely NOT answer the door to ANYONE if I was not home!
That's about the smartest comment I've read in a while.
There's always some scam to get you to open the door so a dirtbag can force entry n begin a home invasion or worse. I'd hoped cops would do better this day in age, but here we are🤦🏻♂️
There's plenty of errors by all parties in this video n any one of several things could have defused the whole thing.
Keeping the door shut was the biggest one.
Here they can serve papers by posting them on the main entrance of a dwelling so the "I have papers for you" excuse to gain entry doesn't work. Only exception being arrest warrants n search warrants.
Cop: "You just got fragments."
Fragments are not trivial
They can cut an artery.
They can also cause infection
It's kind of like saying "It was just a desk pop!"
Everybody has lost sight of fact that this isn’t even something that requires an armed policeman. It’s not a criminal trespass. It’s just an eviction NOTICE - a piece of paper. A process server could have tack a notice on the door and left.
With a decent lawyer, now she can afford to stay...and own the house. Still...what a freaking coward.
So if a cop now consider a dog life threatening wouldn’t their K9 also be life threatening to citizens.

When did they care about that ?
They have always considered dogs to be dangerous especially pitbulls...

Good thing the home owner had that camera otherwise they'd blame the child and dog, the cop shouldn't have a badge and a gun. Why did the officer attempt to gain entry by trying the knob?
The people in the house are being evicted, they have no right to be there. So, if you were serving eviction to someone and they release a dog that charges / barks at you, are you going to stand there and let it bite you? Remember, people being evicted generally don't want to leave.

A lot of times, when an officer comes to serve an eviction notice, the house/apartment is already empty & abandoned. It's pretty common to find them with the doors unlocked.
