Nah, not even comparable products, it’s a projector against a full dimmed screen, XR/AR might benefit from transparent lenses but every VR application needs complete darkness to assure immersion, I personally think that this type of “glasses” will become the new smartphone, while full VR headsets will be the new “screen”, but at the moment the AVP is the most advanced headset, remember that the processor in that thing is an Apple silicon, and those processors are ahead of every software existing, Google is already doing a great work in developing Google glass custom applications and configurations for professionals, but the public will not be engaged until a ‘really’ reliable and portable visor is made, and Apple is the best in this, so my final tought is that the AVP is exactly what we need right now if we want visors to become the new technology

Good point. Skype isn’t going to sell it at a price of $3500+ for the HoloLens, especially for the average consumer. Hopefully Microsoft figures out a way to stand out and out beat their competition in this field of tech gear other than being a pioneer in the industry. We’ll see!

They realised the uptake by the public was slow and Devs were not making games for it because there was a real lack of support when it was released. I need this instead of the apple face thing..
Same, I bet this is way lighter than the Apple Vision Pro. That thing is frickin heavy.
It could be used in web 3 and reality
