I didn’t know that you were a skydiver as well. My jumpmaster for my very first parachute jump, static line, 2500 feet, 28 foot round parachute, was none other than Ted Mayfield!

@@sammytheface8821 My third jump, almost ended me! When I was standing on the shell waiting for the “knee slap”, the instructor grabbed my shoulder, and told me to get back in the plane! My static line was wrapped around my shoulder! After it was cleared and I climbed back out, when I got the slap, my hands locked on the wing strut, and I couldn’t jump! It took until 2000, when it had actually become a legitimate sport, that I finally did my AFF!

Are you familiar with Brian Germain? We’ve been buddies since 2000. I met him in Zephyrhills when I did my AFF. Great guy!

Have you ever built anything using a weed eater engine or similar small engine?

Hmmm, thinking back on this, I don’t believe that I actually did. I strapped a small turbine jet engine to my bike, and then on my paraglider harness, and put two of them on a go-cart, but small 2-stroke engines, not really though. I did once build a model of a jet pack that used a two-stroke Hirth engine to produce the required air mass, before burning in a combustion chamber. Please watch The Flaming Brain episode #19.
