Watched your "recommended compression for boost" video and you mentioned 'not considered high comp until u get to 11:1'. ive got an h22a4, looking to use nippon racing type s pistons, but they're 11:1 and i wanted to stay as close as possible to stock 10:1. and hopefully stay on 93 oct. my power goal for stock block was originally 350whp but with the nippons n eagle rods i'm hoping to hit 400 on 93 if possible. I was just going to use h23 eagle rods which are shorter to lower CR but pistons not reaching TDC apparently leads to detonation issues. any tips on lowering CR without thickening headgasket too much? or will i have to go e85 for 400hp on 11:1 CR
i would be purchasing some PRC 87mm shortly for my JDM 2005 Honda Accord k24a 96 RHD jdm Honda civic ek5 AWD RTi sedan, i would call you to inquire about stock availability shortly
I plan on turboing my f23a1 and hopefully making 200-250 hp. I was wondering if you would recommend building the engine and if so what should I do to it?
Anytime you plan on stressing your engine you should build it. Engine failure tends to be more catastrophic when it's not. Pistons and rods are plenty for anything under 500 as long as the engine is sound
