  • Was passing through Ring Gold Georgia at the Scale and got the bypass from the Weight Station but decided to go in anyway to see if Georgia had taken this National Safety Blitz lightly or where they were on it and we're pulling Inspections like they were supposed to be doing.
Sure enough I got my answer and DOT was all over it pulling Inspections like They were supposed to be doing.

Have I mentioned lately "God bless truck drivers" ? Without your sacrifices America would grind to a halt.

I went into Document if Georgia was actually going through with the Truck inspections or if they were Slacking off.
Hell they weren't Slacking off, They downright went home instead of having to Chicken House open and actually doing their jobs

I really can't believe this cammer driver has been driving a truck very long at all. He clearly had the lights and instructions to bypass the weigh station(11:30) via the weigh in motion and transponder on the windshield, yet he pulled on into the weigh station. And to cap it off, the moron used his cb radio to call to the flatbed/ stepdeck driver in front of him and pointed out over the air waves that the driver's oversize load banner was loose and sagging. No 'professional driver " of any experience would ever point out over the cb radio that another driver has something wrong while going into the weigh station as the DOT officers in the station also have cb radios and listen to the chatter going on. So damned silly and rookie moron mistakes. That is why I thank GOD every day that I was able to finish a 40+ year career OTR and just watch what passes for truck drivers these days on the YOU tube

Well to tell you the truth if you listen to the recording again ... The person that called out the Hanging Oversize Banner WASNT me. That was someone else thank you very much. Get your information right before you open your mouth and embarrass yourself more then you already have

@@GONEOFFSCRIPT my sincere apologies to you sir. My life on the road back before modern trucks left me with very significant hearing loss and even the modern high dollar hearing aids don't help much to discern different sounds. It only sounded to me as though it was a cb with talkback and reverb and echo going on in the cab. I am happy to ask your forgiveness for my allegations that were misplaced. I hope that whoever did the cb tattletelling about the oversize banner gets to read the post however because as someone who hauled heavy and oversize much of my career, I have had that very thing happen on more than one occasion and I never could understand mentality. Blessings to you sir.

@@GONEOFFSCRIPT Hey GOS, I already apologized for the cb remark but I noticed that you did not respond to the unnecessary entry into the Ringgold, Georgia scale when you clearly had the bypass lights turned on for you. I live nearby so I am very familiar with this scale house and know many of the DOT officers that work there. What is the reason for this, or did I miss that as well ??????

@paulskidmore2849 No I hadn't responded yet to Your apologue and I'm sorry for that. To address what you said yes you've apologized for what was said in the first message and the misunderstanding of information.
Now as far as your driving truck back then Mr. More, I thank you for your service and help paving the way for myself and others out here sir. If anyone is in debt it's me to you. If it wasn't for you and others like you back when. We wouldn't have the Industry that sits before us today.
      Thank you

@@GONEOFFSCRIPT GOS,, believe me when I tell you that I am grateful for you and all the other men and women out there OTR today because as it has been for the last 75 years, if I have it, it is because some trucker or series of truckers brought it to me. Every time I go into a grocery store I think of all the people who have given up time at home with their kids to bring my orange juice and eggs to the store. Truck drivers didn't get properly reimbursed for their labor 40 years ago and I know that it is worse today than it was back then. Thank you for doing the job and pass that greeting along to all your fellow drivers. I know my groceries did not grow on the shelf..
