This ENTIRE ALBUM & MOVIE truly was and still is an amazing project! My 2 Brothers and I use practice this song! Jim was on the drums Mike was on the bass and I was on keyboards and neighbor would come in lead. Great Times Awesome Memories
I hear the beginnings of The Equalizer Theme here...that's what I love about Copeland's body of work. There are musical threads that extend through the years and albums. Nobody else out there with his sound
So nice! The drummer of Police, who make a stage in the continent of percussions. The video is a must; everyone participate. Or HOW TO GO FROM RYTHMS TO MELODY! Genius.
I love how the electric guitar comes in sounds like Andy summers but it isnt its Stewart I'm sure he got some of that style from Andy but not all of it
What is that synth sound which begins just before the 3-minute mark ? I hope to find it somewhere else , wonder how it can sound in jazz , for example .
Sounds like a Fairlight trumpet sound. He was known to own one of those instruments and that sound pops up on other people's records who had one as well (like Kate Bush).
Great drummer Stewart AND a masterpiece the rythmatist
I am taken to Africa!!! Greats sounds!!!!

This album is UNREAL. I played my vinyl copy constantly then lost it in a move decades ago. Still looking...
I feel ya, my man. I had a cassette of this. Lent it to a girl (because she was cute) then she moved to another country. =(
I have the cassette.

Claude Courvoisier Indeed. Not only on the first drummers in music history, but a remarkable composer. Genius!
Love the horns also, alot of people think that Africa is known for drums it's really isn't its known for the horn fact!
Gong Rock sounds so exciting!
This is my brothers and I favorite song from The Rythmatist project!
PlatinumLifestyle Coach one of mine too , going to play it when I take my 69 chevelle to the salt at around 185 mph
Stewart Copeland THE BEST
Same for my brothers and I
I like Koteja

Pretty sure Copeland uses the same instrument in the theme for The Equalizer.

This makes me want to climb a huge wooden wall
Club Paradise brought me here. "The name's Moniker."
