his performance as the tall man is a towering achievement in horror film history he was the last in the long line of classic horror movie stars he was a terrific actor and a even better friend don coscarelli
What last in line of classic horror movie stars? Robert Englund, Kane Hodder and some others are still alive?
This is so unexpected and overwhelming for me to come back and still see this video getting more views! I treasure each and every one of your comments, likes and even dislikes. I did not intend for this video to get anymore then 2 or 3 likes, but it's still going up! And for that I thank everyone who may be reading this. May you all live your lives stress free and full of joy.
This is an AWESOME video. TY. I Love these movies and Angus. God Bless him. He was amazing.
Forever Remembered Never Forgotten
A great tribute to not only a great actor but a even greater man rip gentle giant well shall always fondly remember you 👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹🌹
Ik he living his best life now in the inter dimension of heaven.
thank you big time for wanting to share this with us. I believe that I can say that we all appreciate this video and enjoyed it too. so thank you again. deeply.
Angus was the Man. Excellent job, dude.
I don't know why Phantasm 2 is always ignored because of the different actor that played Mike? It was actually my favorite one of the series. Maybe because it was the first one that I watched? Maybe sacrilege, but it's still the best one in my humble opinion.
Phantasm 2 plays a crucial role within the story, which is why I chose not to ignore it, I really enjoyed all of them to be fair. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Excellent work - An amazing editing job. Got choked up - Angus WAS a very nice guy. I had met him (and rest of cast) at conventions and got to sit and chat with him awhile. Very down to earth and very educated. He was good to the fans, and very humble. On screen - SCARY AS HELL!
Miss him even now! Lucky enough to meet Angus Scrimm over 15 times at different horror conventions around the country. We talked about Phantasm, Alias, and his Grammy Award. He can never be replaced and will always be "The Tall Man"
this is Dope R.I.P. LEGEND
Goodbye to an amazing actor
Don't mess with the TALL MAN!!!
Will always be an absolute classic masterpiece Angus scrimm will always be a Legendary icon may he rest in peace he is always with us no matter what just behind us in the shadows
Met Angus, Reggie and Don at Horrorfind in Hunt Valley, Maryland. He is the grandfather I wish I had! I love and miss you, Angus!
That's awesome. I miss him too. I always wanted to see him and Christopher Lee pair up together in a film. Thanks for your comment.
This is really, really well done. The way you edited it and lined up the music with the imagery, etc. is so nice. Thanks for making it!
Onyx The Gaming Machine was right, this is the most amazing tribute for a horror movie I have ever seen. You deserve alot of credit for your creativity. I am a big supporter of Onyx's and when he told me there was a video I needed to watch that would blow my mind, I hopped right on this video. Mr. Belmont, you have my respect sir. Angus is one of my favorite actors. Thank you Mr. Belmont. Thank you for blessing me with this creation of yours! I have subscribed to you.
Thank you, so so much for this amazing comment. I mean it, each and every one of these comments are a gift from above. It makes me feel as if I actually did something great if I can bring a smile to someone else face or make someones day, it literally means the world to me. Initially this video was going to be for me and my family, and I intended this video to be much quicker then 9 minutes. But...My heart wanted more out of this video. So at approximately 2:40 in I decided to let my heart do the editing to see what came out of it. And I am glad you enjoyed that.
I have all of them on DVD Rest in peace Angus scrimm aka The Tall man.
Sir! This tribute is without a doubt one of the coolest Phantasm tributes I have ever seen. And I wish the man himself could see this.
I am a Atheist but Oh my God, this is the greatest! You covered all of the films in one video.
Haha! Thank you very much, It would be an honor for Angus to see this video, but reading your comment makes me feel just as glad. So I highly appreciate this comment.
Hey Baruch, man, this is so fucking awesome that I keep coming back to watch it. I have this on my selection and I still must say this cant be beat!! take care Brother, and have a great one!! p.s. you need a award for this!!
Hey there Jon. You're a good man for this comment, I truly appreciate you, for not only watching the video, but saving it and watching it again. I know it isn't perfect but there was genuine passion put into this video, and it pleases me to no end that I still get to read wonderful comments like yours. I hope you're doing well and continue to do well in life. Maybe one day I can release another Phantasm video I was working on years ago that used a Pink Floyd song.
Hello Brother, just saying hi and many friends of mine love The Tall Man!! always one of the best series that goes forever and fans keep it alive!!
Slaps hand on shoulder
"Graveside service is about to begin"
"Um ok I'll be right there as soon as change my pants because I literally just shit myself"😁
This is terrifying, just like the tall man. Great job!
Awesome! The first Phantasm, when the tall man smacked him on the shoulder! I about launched through the ceiling! Lol ❤
I literally love this! I loved ALL of it! RIP Angus Scrimm
Onyx! Thank you so much for commenting, I'm flattered. It really means alot
Baruch Belmont
What I watched here....is like my childhood again when I watched these movies. From the horror...to the suspense....to the creepy uneasy feelings....to the music....to even the mild confusion on whats REALLY going on. This has got to be the best tribute I have ever watched...and in my years, i've watched many but none of them embodied what PHANTASM is....and what it FEELS LIKE....but yours does.
Wow! I am speechless, your comment has made me feel as if I did the right thing with this video. I was worried about a few errors but in the end I'm glad this video made someone happy, and that's all that matters to me :) Thank you for leaving this astonishing comment :D
Baruch Belmont
Because i'm into detail, my favorite part will be one you wouldn't expect. When you edited in the loud footsteps in the tribute when Tall Man was walking, I was like: HELL YEAH!
Onyx The Gaming Machine Hahaha :D. Yeah I didn't expect that at all, that part was special to me but I'm glad you think so aswell :) My favorite part was definitely the part with the TV, it took me a good while editing that one, lol.
I remember seeing this movie as a young teenager with my brothers. It was called The Never Dead here in Australia and it remains one of my favourite movies. Thanks for posting this tribute.
And thank you for watching. I have fond memories of this movie and I am glad to have witnessed such a classic.
The Phantasm Movies are great, i have all on DVD's and Blu ray's. Angus Scrimm was qlso on a Convention in Germany, he was a very nice Man, down to Earth and a great Actor. May he rest in Peace.
Brilliant tribute to a talented actor!
This was an extremely beautiful and heart felt video for truly one of the greatest actors of all time. The Tall Man is a legend in his own right and you have succeeded in giving him an amazing tribute. thank you.
You did a wonderful job on this. I like it that you kept the main theme going all through it.`I was disappointed in Ravager that they did not express the theme as much. I hope they make new Phantasms but Angus will be sorely missed. Its like Peter and Paul without Mary so to speak.
I just got done watching the entire series and this made me cry. We'll miss you Tall Man. Onto the next world.
EPIC!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
My name is NinjaDragon22, I have known Onyx The Gaming Machine for many years and we grew up watching old school movies as well as gaming. He called me on the phone and told me about your video. I'm not a fan of tribute videos because its mostly people taking clips that don't belong to them and using it for views on UA-cam. Or so I thought. This video has got to be the best tribute I have ever seen. Phantasm was a confusing movie to me. As well as its sequels. But this right here is more than a tribute. This here IS what scared me about The Tall Man growing up. Random Fact that you will respect: Onyx introduced this movie to me many many years ago. So, Baruch, thank you for this untouchable experience you have let me witness. I have subscribed to you as well.
You have no idea how much it pleases me to read this masterpiece of a comment, a Monalisa of comments. Truly one of a kind. Onyx definitely is a great friend. As a 4 year old the first horror movie I ever watched was the first Phantasm, and YES I was definitely scared lol. But I also loved it, it was a strange fear, I was scared of the Tallman, but I sensed a kindness about him somehow, so this video came straight from my heart, and it manged to reflect off of that same fear and respect I felt as a boy while watching the movie for the first time. It's an honor for me to be one of the many fans of this amazing Philm, and to read such kind and unique comments. Thank you, I appreciate this very much.
Great tribute video! R.I.P. Mr. Angus Scrimm! 🙏🏼😊
rip Angus scrimm aka the tall man grew up with the phantasm films and met Angus scrimm in person and got his autograph he was the nicest man I'm glad I got to tell him face to face that I grew up loving the tall man
This has got to be the best Angus Scrimm tribute I've ever seen thank you sir for taking the time and creativity for putting together this video I can't give you enough props as in my opinion this tribute is "perfect" I'm sure the man himself would say thank you boooooy!!! Very Very well done!!!! 👍🏻
Hi Baruch Belmont, awesome tribute bro, and He really Deserves it!!
Much appreciated! Sometimes it feels like I'm the only fan of this series so I had to make this.
LOVE THIS ! Rest in power Mr Scrimm
Ah that very ending bit was awesome. I remember kids talking about this movie when I was young. I remember the vhs covers were always awesome to look at while browsing Blockbuster and Hastings. Just watched the first three over the last couple of days. I really enjoyed it. It didn't scare me, I'm 31, but it was good fun. I could see why a kid from the time would have been. I was far more interested in the character of The Tall Man. He seems almost like a Lovecraftian sort of entity, not that I know anything about that. The line from two, I think, "You think when you die you go to Heaven. You don't, you come to me."
The Tall Man ! An Icon ! R.I.P. , thanks for the thrills .
This is an amazing tribute to one of my favorite actors! This is definitely a job extremely well done! R.I.P. Angus Scrimm.
Best tribute video I've ever seen. Angus Scrimm, RIP. You were superb as the Tall Man. Scared the living crap out of me lol
Wow! Awesome tribute to a awesome actor and character. I knew one day this film would become a classic the first time I saw it in 79.
Very well, Angus, the best of the bests.
This was an awesome tribute. Brought tears to my eyes for such a beloved actor and human being.
Loved everything about this movie. That music still gives me goosebumps! 😈
This is beautiful! So many memories!
Thank you! I appreciate your comment very much. Yes! Phantasm ForeVer!
I only recently watched the whole series for the first time, at first I didn't like it at all, I thought everything about the movies were awful, but for weeks after watching them they stuck in my mind and I couldn't stop thinking about the movies and what everything in them meant and I have slowly began to love the movies in a way that I've never felt for another movie before and this tribute captures everything amazing about Phantasm but especially everything amazing about Angus Scrimm, his character was not what I expected going into the movies, but he made the character amazing and memorable regardless and I am so glad I gave these movies a chance, I look forward to watching them more in the future and to remember Angus Scrimm through them.
First of all you don't know how grateful I am to you for this comment and taking the time to watch the video, second of all I agree with your comment completely. In my opinion Phantasm has always been the strangest series of movies. When I watched the first movie as a 4 year old I found the setting of the film almost relaxing yet eerie, it felt cold and almost empty at times and reminded me of how dreams and nightmares work together alike, I also got the same feeling from Nightmare on Elm Street. But unlike Nightmare on Elm Street Phantasm wants you to use your brain more then most horror movies I've seen, It isn't a simple slasher plot. The most simple thing to understand about Phantasm is that it's a story about a boy and his loved ones coming to the realization that the world they knew was a test experiment, and they were nothing but pawns, it's like a never ending chase, a never ending game. They keep fighting, and every time they thought they had the victory The Tall Man always has the upper hand. Phantasm isn't just a nightmare after nightmare as one would assume at first glance, reality takes place right after the first film, because The Tall Man was in control. You see The Tall Man is an arcane character, he isn't simply an alien, somehow he's able to alter their reality at will how ever he likes, whenever he wants, which is why he keeps coming back. Last but certainly not least, I guarantee that if you watch the movies while further analyzing you will realize a plethora of details that explain so much more. For example Jodie's tombstone at the beginning of the first film, indicating that he was already dead, it was... Creepy when I realized it. But thank you for the comment!
and thank you for the very heart felt reply! it is thoughts like this that really began to make me love the movies, when I hear how people see the movies and how they put the pieces together, it fascinates me and makes me want to do the same.
Great video. I really regret that I never got a chance to meet Mr. Scrimm, at least in this life. I guess he created such a great character in the Tall Man because he created a character so unlike himself. I've read in Phantasm exhumed how he was such a nice man. Maybe sometime Don will release a DVD of all the outtakes from all the "philms". It would be great. BOOOYY!!
I been a horror fan for long time and was never hip to Phantasm.
Excellent video. I watched the Phantasm movies recently and I love them. This video was a perfect tribute to the character and the man himself.
Wow, this is a great tribute! I especially like the great timing to the music - love the first phantasm soundtrack. Angus would have been proud.
Angus Was one HELL 😭 of a GOOD guy and he WILL be MISSED rip 😭 and We will
MISS you GOD bless you and
WE will You 🎉😢🎇🔥🌹🪽🙏
Baruch Belmont, Great tribute to not only the great legendary Mr. Angus Scrimm A.K.A. THE TALL MAN. But, also to PHANTASM. One of the top few original horror movies ranking up amongst other classics like HALLOWEEN, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and FRIDAY THE 13TH...
awesome tribute to Mr. scrimm💓😊
the tall man is a unsung horror movie villain on par with that of freddy or pin head fare well angus scrimm you will be missed
When the tall man smacked him on the shoulder I about shot through the ceiling when I first saw this movie. LMAO
Nice tribute, the Tall man will always be one of my favorite villains.
This is the ultimate tribute. Awesome
Best seen in Part 5, Reggie tells the nerd to eat the f out of his car and leaves him almost naked in the middl of the road. The only thing I can play and learned on a piano, the 7 note repeating them that started in the beginnings..: awesome great stuff guys. My wife just got me the full set this Christmas , I know, not exactly Christmas moves but the next best thing.
he will always be in our memories by watching phantasm
Angus may be gone in our world, but he lives on as The Tall Man in our nightmares.
Phantasm: The delusion of a disordered mind, a phantom, a spirit, a ghost, and a terrifying motion picture legacy. Rest in peace Angus Scrim.
Nice tribute! R.I.P.Tall Man...you will be missed 💜
i can't believe how everything passes R.I.P TALLMAN
You're right that was an amazing tribute 😊 I don't know why but whenever I think of the first phantasm my heart stops!! I think it's one of the best movies 😊
Awesome Job I truly loved and enjoyed it.
Such an honorable tribute to a great Tall Man! :)
Reggie: but your not alone...then the music plays. Ha ha ha love it. ❤️👍
and also Ive loved every Phantasm movie that has been made. :)
I loved this video, R.I.P. Angus Scrimm
Great job im sure Mr. Scrimm would love it.
Excellent job, thanks for doing this video!
If I could have a one minute conversation with Angus, which is impossible, I realize, in any case, I would probably ask advice like talking to my grandfather.
What would you do if had a one minute conversation with Mr. Scrimm?
Thank you for the comment! I read this and can definitely relate, Mr Scrimm (even never having the chance to meet him in person) reminded me of family. If I had just one minute to converse with him it would be about how great it would have been to see him act in more movies. Perhaps with Christopher Lee in the Dracula films.
Angus was amazing.
"So what am I, the Tooth Fairy?" ~The Tall Man
Tall man Proves you don't need tons of make up , lots of special effects or a mask to make a terrifing villain. Angus Scrimm were trully great
Brilliant tribute good one for halloween having just bought the box set one of my favourite horror films well done
Sin lugar a dudas un actor impresionante descansa en paz Angus Scrimm ;descansa en paz.....
The music everything even just listening through earbuds is like being at the theatre. Amazing❤️
I never got to see any of the phantasm movies in the theater, but this sounds fantastic ❤️
I saw a screening of remastered at the Alamo Drafthouse and it was like a dream
ightmare come true, the sounds were petrifying, visuals were absolutely stunning for a late 70s film, and brought back so many fond and frighting memories. The best part was the strong roaring sound of the Hemi Cuda riding down the hill, the seats were literally vibrating from the bass of the engine, truly an experience I will never forget.
He's tall but not NBA tall like the movie portrays the legendary "The Tall man".
For “SHITS” and “GIGGLES”? It,would’ve been cool to see Angus RIPPING around in the CUDA????
RIP Angus, you are the TALL MAN!!!!!!
Phantasm Angus scrimm was definitely the man then now and forever when I was a little boy I saw this phone scared The Living Daylights out of me but I always went back to it when I wash them and subspecies and the very last Phantasm I absolutely love this video it does him just rest in peace Angus scrimm a man that I wish I would have met . When I go I hopefully I meet him before in my dreams he will say boy it's time to go we have things to do.🙏🤗
Great job on this tribute, rip another legend. That ending though xD
Angus may not have had many lines as The Tall Man, but he delivered them well.
R.I.P Angus Scrimm
RIP Angus scrimm Horror legend
Better and stronger evil villian in terror movies ever.
Tall man: it's never over
Well done sir, well done!
when i first seen angus on this movie, i didnt know who he was. the evil and twisted world his character lived in. i wish i knew him in person, that voice "booooyyyyy!!!"
Exellen tribute
like the boy said! I can feel him watching me...I always wondered why the tall man watched him and chased him around! lol❤
Phantasm 5, talk about a disillusioned mind! Lol, that is 5 to a T...: Great stuff.:
Why have you come? you were banished from this place , You aren't content to live in peace Radu you crave evil the Bloodstone would give you too much power , this can never be !! hahahaha :) that's our tall Man for ya. :)
Watch I sell the dead if you love Angus Scrimm.
When i was a little boy my grandma made me watch this movie with her lol..
BOOOOOY!
This is kind of silly. But being a fan of this movie I have a racing game on my phone and one of the cars I have purchased and race with looks alot like the cuda. Gorgeous car, respect ♥️
I agree, the 1979 Plymouth Hemi Cuda is one of the most rare and brilliant muscle cars, It's my favorite car actually.
He, along with Poltergeist 2’s reverend scared the s outta me as a kid
A brilliant tribute to a brilliant movie legend....R.I.P Angus.
I can't believe youTube auto marked this wonderful comment as spam and just now told me it did, so I approved it. I know your pain because my grandmother who I grew up with also passed from cancer, and she was a big fan of Angus. Her kindness and generosity reminded me of him so much, and I couldn't stop thinking about her when I made this. I am so sorry for your loss and I hope my video was able to give you good memories of your wife.
Amazing of you all to share such meaningful moments in that we all are connected through the art we grew up with. Not only did this video move me and stop the motion of the world as we know it, learning all this brings us closer together is beyond profound. May we all Rest In Peace and not be brought back to serve the tall man. Humble respects for your loss and deepest condolences. Always in memory.
The first movie was the best and number 2
