The terror and intensity of battle is captured in detail on the faces of the individual soldiers.

Standing stoically in battle formation must of been hell on earth just waiting for that cannon to blow you to smithereens .While watching some of your buddies drop like bowling pins all around you from the lead /metal wasps (Bullets) But what a hauntingly beautiful painting that lady was great with a easel and brush but I wish I had that kind of talent..
