The Johnston Collection | JOYFUL & TRIUMPHANT | Christmas at The Johnston Collection 2015

The Christmas at The Johnston Collection exhibition is held each year from October to January and commissions artists and craftspeople from a different region of Victoria to create works inspired by Fairhall exhibition-house and William Johnston's collection. In 2015 more than 170 makers from the Gippsland region were invited to participate in the exhibition Joyful & Triumphant: Christmas at The Johnston Collection 2015. A collaboration between The Johnston Collection and Creative Gippsland, the exhibition ran from 5 November 2015 to 24 January 2016 showcasing the work of spinners, yarnbombers, patchworkers, embroiderers, lacemakers, quilters, cake decorators, glassworkers, beaders, and a host of other crafts and independent artists bringing their work to a new and appreciative state-wide audience.
