Your vids always come across as smooth, relaxed, and informative. This trick was of limited help with the photo I'm working on at the moment, but I'll still keep it in mind for the future.
I like to use the Noise Reduction slider in Camera Raw to remove the jpg artifacts and color noise, then i add clean noise back to the image. I find this works better than the Nueral filter.
Please have you done a video on how to get rid of dotts or patterning on photographs ,that's photo's copy scan from paper in books or mags,it's very annoying and hard to eliminate without making a picture to blur....
I have to work with photos uploaded to me for personalised products usually low res phone jpegs, the photo restoration neural filter and skin smoothing also work sometimes

To further improve the banding lines in the sky, try also adding a tiny bit of noise or film grain. You will be amazed. Increasing image bit depth to 16 bit prior to your surface blur should also help.

i mean this has been in adobe bridge camera raw for what seems forever. And itll prob load faster in raw than in ps without taxing ur machine. Not to mention it has slightly better control over it. Just watching how long it took to do that in PS, turned me away from every doing it in ps. You are better off in AC raw.

What if you used the "Replace Sky" feature in Photoshop, this could be a way to remove banding completely and also make the sky look better (for example, making a sky with an annoying plane in it look clean and nice). I have used this feature a few times to make what would be boring images look a lot better, it also colourises the picture for you (matching the colour and shades of the sky to the rest of the image) which makes it look all the more authentic. Obviously it is not perfect, nothing ever is, but using that feature and what you said, you could create some amazing images.
From a previous video, he uses an RTX 3080/3080 Ti, I cannot remember exactly which one but I think it is the 3080 Ti. Right now you can buy these GPU's for an okay price, even the RTX 3090 is okay priced and is pretty much overkill for Photoshop, but great for PremierPro etc.
