Very nice lesson. Affinity can be daunting for a beginner and many instructors assume the beginner knows things that the beginner does not actually know. That's why this video is so good. It assumes the watcher is a beginner - and many of us are.
Thanks Anthony. I'm finding your tutorials on Affinity Photo to be the best out there! You explain in an easy to follow pace and cover every aspect of each individual action. Thankyou.
These videos are so useful for somebody who has no experience of using Photoshop and wants to escape from a subscription to Lightroom. Looking forward to the next instalment. Thanks
You know how to do tutorials, expertly. Instantly subscribed. Video absorbed me, so it went quickly. I’m going to look for those “ future “ videos now. Or later...
Affinity now has a different interface from what is shown here. Users familiar with Photoshop CS and other stand alone PS versions will find their new interface challenging.
Thank you for the video lessons! Much appreciated! I am learning photography and Affinity Photo is an affordable comprehensive photo editing tool . Please continue with Photo Affinity tutorials as they are a great help!
I have a question regarding a particular video-effect you used in this video: How did you enlarge the different windows, when you gave demonstrations of things? For example, at time 1:17 in the video, you somehow enlarged the "layers-window" from its original size, to make it more visible. This "enlarging effect" is obviously great for doing demonstrations/tutorials - and that's why I wonder HOW you actually achieved it (and without gaining any pixelation/losing any detail of the enlarged window) in your video-editing-software?
I just find this video and it's super clear and concise and most importantly without an ACCENT unlike all the other training videos on UA-cam. THANK YOU!!
I think Affinity Photo has a lot of potental and I own it but, it is yet far from another pieces of software. I use adjustment layers in PS and in AP, and the result differs too much in favor of PS. I don't know why but it does not convince me for now completely. Highlights/shadows and Brightnes/contrast is quite different. I know Photoshop costs way more and the comparison is not fair. I would love AP improved very much in the forthcoming versions as far as the developing engineering. It would be great to be able to give up PS !!
N, EW TO AFFINITY PHOTO. TH E SIZE OF THE EDIT AREA EDDITING AREA IS A GRID 1/2 THE SIZE OF THE AREA. HOW DO I GET RID OF THE GRID AND MAKE THE INCOMING IMAGE THE SIZE OF TH WHOLE EDITTING AREA. OR CLOSE TOO IT.

Very informative and helpful. Thank you.
What is the difference in using the Adjustment tap at the top and the little B&W icon at the bottom?
Thanks Anthony, this was very helpful.
Hello Anthony. What chapter or video would help someone thats new to Affinity that deals specifically with Flambient photography
DWL
Thanks I have ps 5 and I think this will be good to upgrade and not go to $120 a year in cc.
I am glad I have found you as you lessons are great. Are you doing more on Affinity?
Thanks, very relatable, and some new info even for an intermediate user.
