3:00 The pain I felt when the audience applauded Taeyeon's breakdown on stage even though she was there as herself and not the musical character but they think she's just acting so they cheer and throw roses, the thorns of which hurt her even more (all those tiny cuts)..... I don't even know where to start with this, it's amazing. The sound is perfect for her, the lyrics hits HARD and knowing she wrote them makes it hit even harder! So proud of her. 💜

This song is emotionally illustrating a toxic and abusive relationship. Her lover, played by the actor by the name of Hong Kyung, is manipulative and abusive towards Taeyeon. Though seen through their relationship that she is clearly hurting, they "act" like nothing is happening (literally act as star characters in a play of some sort) so the world doesn't know what is truly happening behind their relationship. Taeyeon simply "can't help herself" and is stuck in love despite all of the pain she has gone through. The ending shows her final breakdown, as herself and not as her acting role, but alas her lover made it look like it was apart of the act and their relationship shall never be known to the world.
Can you explain to me why she smiled at the end?
@@irenegallego9682 it’s probably because she realized that nobody noticed what was truly happening so she smiled as if to accept that. It’s similar to how in movies people who are going insane over something tend to smile a lot because they realize how bad their situation is and that there’s no help for them. I think it’s the same situation with the music video because she seems hopeless off and on the stage. This is how I interpreted it so I might be wrong. Hope this helps!

This song is so sad but real. People often say , if your relationship is abusive why don't you leave? You don't understand. The mental issues that involve an abusive relationship is not as simple as just leaving. Often the abuser makes the other an empty shell of him or herself, making it almost impossible to leave without losing your mind. But it is possible, by looking out for yourself and understanding that someone's abuse is not your fault but their own mental problem. I pray for whoever is in one , to one day just be ... Okay.
