- The murder of Neha Hiremath in Hubballi came at a time when Dharwad BJP MP Pralhad Joshi was facing push back due to anti-incumbency and due to the ire of the influencial Lingayat community. TNM's Shabbir Ahmed and Samrah Attar hit the ground and spoke to Fakireshwar Mutt's seer Dingaleshwar Swami, who stood against Pralhad Joshi in Dharwad constituency but withdrew his nomination. They also spoke to Neha's father, students and others on if Neha's murder is being used as a political tool by Pralhad Joshi to peddle the "love Jihad" narrative.
