No matter what I do I'm always like -20 thousand
The thing to remember is you don't have to do trade deals. Whether you have a deal or not, everything you produce is getting sold. Just focus on making plantations and mines if possible in the colonial era
Put a lot of sugar plantations down and rum distilleries during the colonial era, then go for boats and stuff in World Wars.
I'm late saying it but this is quality content. No fuss, no drawn-out framing device, just some good pointers delivered in no time flat. You're doing the gaming gods' work here, good sir.
I really do appreciate comments like these specially on tutorial videos because my message has been delivered. Which is Tutorials are not meant to be drawn out videos that you have to put the puzzle together and guess where the part you clicked on is. Tutorial videos should be straight to the point and help the viewer. This is why Tutorial videos are my favorite when I know it has helped someone like yourself.
I recently started playing Tropico 6 and had trouble avoiding debt spirals. Your tips sound helpful. I hope they work!
Here is the problem, I need some early game money tips. These are pretty advanced/late game tips. Once you getr to a certain point money just rolls in because of tech/research/edits.
I need some hardcore tips on the EARLY Game money making and some general in depth money managment tips
I think the problem is you didnt look at the countless Tropico tips and tricks series that I have, I have everything from early to late.
@@Jerutastic Well, This was 4 weeks ago and by now I kind of figured it out already. The thing wasn`t the buildings I was building...but HOW. You see, villagers/citicens have special needs. To close to every workplace I build a House/Grocery and a place of worship. This way they spent less time roaming around tending their "needs"and more time on the fields working, resulting in more Yield, resulting in more profit :-)
Great video but first you gotta get out of the Colony Era with $$$. I have done it all and left with enough for a box of cheap cigars. Keep videos coming.
Pro tip: Have a lot of teamster offices. They carry the stuff your people produce to ports (I guess). I was just very bad at trading, didn't understand how it worked AT ALL, barely surviving with foreign aid and raids etc.. Then I started putting a teamster office next to every 2 plantations and had like 300k in an hour (year 1950)
@@ignacio9813 maybe you're building them more than required? Are you industrializing enough? Selling only raw materials will bankrupt you sooner or later. You should use your raw materials to produce stuff.
Useful video. Feel like I always take a financial beating when moving up the time period.
I came to like boats as the most reliable industry, as its value is decent from start to end of the game, and the resources needed to make it are generally quite cheap (if you cut down all the trees and need to import)
Thank you for getting straight to the point a lot of tutorials videos like these can be 10-20 minutes long god forbid any longer, Appreciate this video just subbed.
I'm just getting into playing T6 today. Does farming make a lot of money too? I've been playing T4 forever, I used to get over 10M in one farm a little while after it's upgraded all the way from exporting.
This game triggers some ocd in me I didn’t think I had! I haven’t made it past the colonial era because immigrants keep coming in too fast and destroying the unemployment levels and adding homelessness. It’s really hard to keep up! My next strategy is just splitting up my island into different industrial districts instead of having everything piled together.
I found out over time that decreasing the happiness of the Caribbean actually gives you more immigrants if your island on average is more happy. So when it’s super low, even if your island is kinda crappy, people will pile in lol
I never have that problem as I dont care if they are homeless or not, I only care about money
@@fuckshitfuck69 The American Spirit 😂😂😂 get more police stations and prisons for free labor lol
straight and forward
Nice City/Island/Country by the way guy who made this video, looks like some legit solid architecture/lay out plans there in general.
Thank you for the tips, really helpful video
I wish he made it by era
thanks!
Super surprised and happy with this game overall, didn't even know it or the series existed til like 2 months ago, so only played 6 and I think its easily the best city/ simulator etc type of game in years I think Cities Skyline is the single best pure City simulator in the past 10-15 years but Tropico wasn't going for just a pure city building metropolis that's just part of the game its such a great ideas and execution very well, can be a bit overwhelming at times just like Cities skyline can because for once theirs almost to many options and things to try out but that is in fact a good thing and always will be variety in games like these are great even if they can be confusing and overwhelming at first until you get it down, I give Tropico 6 8.8 out of 10 or a B+ maybe even an A-/bloody awesome game, I wonder if parts 4 and 5 if not all of them are worth playing sometime to even if you started with the latest one 6?.
As someone who started playing Tropico 4 last year and then bought Tropico 6 this year. Yes, the 4 is definitely worth playing because it's a really well-made and quite complete game.
When i go to world wars i always struggle. Any tips? Colonial is fine but when i advance to the world wars i just slowly start to loose more and more money, even if i create more industries.
Thanks for a great video.
I really like that you don't go into too many details but just keep each tip short and to the point. :)
hmm i did overlooked the import deals.
thanks for the straightforward video!
Thanks for this video didn’t really like game because economy kept fucking me but now its a lot easier after this video
Can you do a quick video on resources and how to power your island with electricity? Or point me to a video that does so via a link?
What's the most amount of money that you made off one freighter when it lands on the dock? Mines 250k I literally can't get it above that but I think it's due to the population cap because on the PS4 it's 2000 which is really low but on 2000 my PS4 is struggling hopefully ps5 is much better
I have never got -43% import. The max I've ever got has been around +36% / +32% for exports and I think -25% for imports. The tax evasion upgrade for the customs office doesn't change anything for me so I don't know if that has messed my games up. 100 relations and reduce import costs / increase export costs + ministry bonus doesn't get me close to +40% / -40%.
The secondary countries like Mexico on the trade lists always have +% for imports. I have no idea if it's my game that is bugged or what but I have never seen a -% import for anything other than smuggler or the main 5 nations.
Can anyone confirm they get like -20% imports for these secondary nations like in the video?
Creamery is the worst industry building available. I fully agree that rum and cigars are amazing but creamery is really not a good building to build unless you want cheese for your citizens.
i really dont understand income (lifetime) production vaule (lifetime) like how do you know what's making you money?
Good question. Basically income is how much the building has produced. Lifetime upkeep is how much you spent on maintaining the building. You basically want the income to be higher than the upkeep.
Would Number 3 Work better with the Eiffel Tower Wonder?
What about entertainment buildings? Do they make you money?
Of course, I wouldnt just focus on them though, they are not one of the essential money makers at first.
2 per resource in colonial era
Money is the only reason why I can’t play tropico
Try doing a game without money (unlimited) and then get the hang of it then go with money
When you mention things like the cigar factory and the creamery do you also mean things like a tannery or the one that makes cloth? If not why? Do they make less money?
Great question, its not that they make less money (Tannery does though) its more so the Cigar Factory is always a consistent industry and you can almost gurantee a good trade deal for it.
What map is this?
When you say «a million dollars» you sound a lot like trump
Long story short
Be capitalist...
👍🏻
Making daughters!!
do not overlook at anything
The power of capitalism lol
I barely make it past the colonial era, without a debt of 90k of course
I have just uploaded a video that is a perfect tutorial for all the new players on the easiest industries to set up and make you money: ua-cam.com/video/Prv-QYCPBNo/v-deo.html
