I'd love to see them re-record this, as they've matured SUBSTANTIALLY since this time, and this is still the only cover I've found which is actually interesting-sounding. But they could probably even remaster the tracks on this to even out the sound and improve it.
The Neverending Story was the first proper book I ever read. I was about eight. I was probably too moronic to understand it all then, but I'd say it probably contributed a lot to my oddness and love of imagination. This song makes me so nostalgic, so happy... But that is another story, and shall be told another time.

Who cares what picture was used to go along with this song? Some people just love to complain about the dumbest crap. It's a great cover accompanied by a great photo. This is version is better than the original.
Someone should do a modern version of the NeverEnding Story movie to show kids that even thou the arts are being taken out of our U.S. School kids should always b who they are , dreams what they want, and reach for their future

I heard somewhere(possibly an unreliable source--I don't remember who it was because it's been two years roughly) that for some insane reason the band doesn't like their cover of this song. That could be why, but I'll never be able to imagine why they'd feel that way.
This is actually one of their earliest demo productions. They didn't even have the name "The Birthday Massacre" back then. This is even before "Nothing and Nowhere". I miss those days.
The audio mixing is REALLY bad and It's a real shame because I like the way that it has been adapted and stylized. The rhythm is good, it's heavy and I would even say the vocals are well suited, except I can barley hear them! It's just drowned out by everything else.
