  • In its fifth year the City of Stirling's premier cultural celebration the 'Summerset Arts Festival' returned for three weeks in February 2013. The Summerset Arts Festival attracted a record crowd of 40,000 patrons over this period.
Its jam packed program was scheduled with over 22 free or low cost events mixing from art exhibitions, live comedy, childrens events, theatrical shows and live music that the community could engage in.
A few new and exciting additions to the program in 2013 were the aerial dance theatre performance at Scarborough Beach by Natural Wings; Inglewood Spaces project - boutique events and activities that occurred within a variety of spaces along Beaufort Street in Inglewood; Digital Walking Tour of Scarborough - patrons discovered the hidden histories and memories of this famous Perth beachside strip with a difference and Cinema by the Sea - free film nights at Scarborough.
Headlining the popular Beach Closing Concert, with over a decade of signature hits, ESKIMO JOE hit the Scarborough shore where they performed plenty of crowd favourites to their adoring crowd. The finale concert finished off with a spectacular fireworks display that ended a perfect night and Festival.
