I realized that Bibio had put out some music I hadn't heard before, and I was scrambling to find the source. I'm so glad I ran into the Bib10 album, because HOLY SHIT! It has been a while since I've listened to an album where every song is replay-worthy. The song Potion is just genius. The first verse, followed by the robotic recap was nice, but that ending transition at 3:05 though. Thank you

Old R&B always reminds me of going to English weddings as a kid in the 1980’s where this kind of music was always played by the DJ for the final dances and before the inevitable drunken family punch up on the carpark afterwards.

Bibs started out as a pastiche merchant ripping off the far superior 'Boards of Canada'. It looked at one point during the 'Silver Wikinson' era that he was starting to forge a more original sound but now he's gone back into pastiche mode again. And let's face it, Shalamar were better..
