Thank you for sharing. My buddy gave me a bunch of good quality scrap wood as he was cleaning out his garage before moving. Time to build.

Edge grains are fun. They lose their appeal when you make 50 of them over 3 years lol. You did a great job

Yeah I can how they can get old after you make a bunch of them. But it's something I always wanted to try. I been woodworking for 20 years and I have never made cutting boards. Thanks bro for the kind words!

I personally use a 3" paint roller and 3/8 nap rollers for my glue ups. (A tip I got from Ryan Hawkins) If you store them in an air tight container you can reuse them for months before replacing the rollers. The boards look awesome!

thanks man. I actually went to Woodcraft and got a 3" rubber glue roller after I made these. After I used that to glue up the larger cherry board, is when it exploded in the planer. I liked the roller alot

@@foxhallww311 I have the rubber roller ones as well. I got tired of cleaning them so I went the paint roller route. 😁

@@nathanswoodcrafts fair enough. it seems that this roller is made out of silicon so it's peels off really easy

The boards look great. The scrap that I have is what you used for yours.

Looks great man. I made my first this week as well! Consider putting a bevel around the underside (I do a 55 degree on my table saw) for ease of lifting and looks great too

I put a small chamfer on mine but I agree the larger bevel would be better

@@foxhallww311 Very nice. I have a 17inch Grizzly Bandsaw G0513X2BF with the front brake, I really like it. I will never use a bandsaw without a brake again.
What is the lead time on the Fence? I bought mine in 2018 and it was 6-8 weeks, I went to their facility to order and pick it up. Really nice folks too! 😁🛫

@@TheFalconJetDriver I believe it’s at 6 weeks still which was the same when I first bought it. It got up to 16 weeks during COVID

curious why you didnt pop the grain or is that not necessary for certain types of wood?

@@JayReevesCLT fair point. But this is honestly the first time I have ever made these. The walrus oil does all the work to make it look nice
