The immense guilt he felt for what he did as The Supreme King, PTSD, PTSD from his Supreme King days to the point where he could t even play, basically being war-hardened, no longer really enjoying dueling or a lot of things in some of S3 and S4, Judah’s not really super happy backstories (both his current life and previous one), and etc. My boy Jaden grows and develops so much and I love him for it. @@thatnerdyouseeeverywhere7536 I'm aware those happened, but the thought probably crossed their minds. I really like 4Kids stuff if anything, censorship is overall a bad thing usually, but they proved they can still put a good show in front of your face.
@@MatijaRebyhonestly I appreciate hearing your thoughts on the matter. Though I’m not a massive fan of 4Kids era dubs, I generally don’t like when people rag on them without knowledge of why they turned out the way they did. A huge part of the censorship wasn’t exactly 4Kids’ fault. They were willing to show alcohol in Pyramid of Light, and even kept in Mewtwo murdering his creators in the first Pokemon movie. The difference is that those were theatrical releases that were not constrained by having to air in a Saturday morning time slot. They even considered doing an entire YGO uncut dub (in the same vein as how Gundam Wing had a censored and uncut version for Cartoon Network and late night Toonami respectively), which I think you can still find if you look hard enough online (with Dan Green delivering the sickest “Exodo Flame”), though they scrapped it after realizing demand wasn’t high enough (so maybe if the YGO fans of the early 2000s locked in purchasing those uncut DVDs, we’d be in a much better place). So I doubt they’d look at the content of GX season 4 and just off rip say “yeah we’re not doing this”.
Every kid that watches the American dub and enjoys the series usually doesn't bother looking at the original source material 😂 With Yu-Gi-Oh OG it was the manga. It's so much fun! Im being kinda vague about it yeah but if you want context check it out. The Millennium Items alone and so dark it's no wonder 4Kids had to water it down as much as they did!
The original source compared to the dub is just. Oh my god. LOL - I actually haven't seen the dub (I've seen segments) but the absolute hell of everything going on, especially in S3, is just so GOOD. I know GX tends to get dark at times, but the duel between Axel and Trueman where Trueman spends the whole time telling Axel that he deserved to die for choosing which one of his parents' lives to save when a good son would've just accepted dying with both of them was EXCEPTIONALLY fucked up.
It's really fucked up cause the whole thing was Trueman gaslighting Axel in a hypothetical situation where one has to die, even though both of his parents did survive.
first time watching it didnt expect o brian/axel of all people would get such episode, but it does show how he regret for even considering who should he save even though in the reality they are all survived, that small negative feeling was enough for trueman to manipuate
The duel academy seems to be cursed, because anything could happen, for example: Crazy people with dark powers, evil and negative spirit of duels, a society that brainwashes people, people possessed by evil beings, kidnappings, deaths, missing students and etc

The duel academy seems to be cursed, because anything could happen, for example:
Crazy people with dark powers, evil and negative spirit of duels, a society that brainwashes people, people possessed by evil beings, kidnappings, deaths, missing students and etc
Man, I love GX so much
Same. It's such an amazing anime I'm never gonna stop thinking about it tbh
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
THANK YOU! HAHA
You are hilarious bro plus the comments have me rolling 😂
Very good opening for GX 😎 (It has everything including season 3 and 4)
Yeah, these kids are gonna need a lot of therapy.
Gx hits so hard after you graduate highschool
And to think, parents pay hundreds of dollars to send their children to this damn school just to learn how to play a goddamn card game!
Bro took the same song and changed the entire meaning
0:24 Let's go!
Zane: 😬
As a kid season 3 gave me trauma back then
LMFAO That's hilarious. It reflects the dark turn the anime took so well. So unfitting for the lighthearted and cheering up opening theme 😂.
This whiplash hit harder than Yugioh gx opening 1 and opening 3, go hear it yourself, its funny when you see how the theme changed
Absollute Cinema 🚬
Kaibas school it's really a chill place
this is so peak on so many levels :D:D:D
WAA Thank you so much! HAHA
It's surprising that Kaiba wasn't thrown in prison after all the sh1t that was going on at his school.
Screw The School I’m too rich for Prison
@@sandycrash8868Police: Mr. Kaiba, students have been missing from your school for years. You will have to come and give a statement.
Kaiba: *He takes out a suitcase full of bills*
Police: Have a nice day, Mr. Kaiba.
Screw the laws I have money
Season 1: Good
Season 2: Good
Season 3 and onward: Traumatized
Also leave a like if you think Yugioh GX is the best Yugioh series
Some other scenes you could've included are:
- Jaden's duel with Jinzo, especially near the end when the latter uses Call of the Haunted and comes back in the now possessed body of the guy he kidnapped;
- Titan getting dragged down into the Shadow Realm two times;
- Camula's flashback of her race being wiped out;
- Aster discovering the dead body of his father;
- Aster's dad and other people being absorbed by Destiny Hero Plasma, and his son having to put an end to his misery by killing him.
Dude this opening was to humble yugioh gx for being too silly. Nice job mate. Coming from a 5d's fan btw
HAHA thanks so much! Watch out for when I've watched 5Ds, there'll undoubtedly be many edits
@Gloam-GhostExtras OH BOY that is gonne SHOCKING!
“Aw yeah! Death, Trauma, and Cynical Depression!” Truly the era of 2005s Edgelord Phase!
I love the cut of the folks in the hospital
Best yugioh series
It's just not yugioh unless someone dies
Exactly! like.. what did you want everybody to come out trauma free?
Well make the grave and win this fight!
I don't remember the dark parts of this season lol. What's the episode at 0:04 to 0:06
Get your shame on because everyone be shaming Jaden/Judai throughout the last couple of seasons for every decision he makes. 😔
especially syrus/sho in season 3 where he calling him by name instead bro lmao
This comment cracked me uPPP - EXACTLY THOUGH! He's like depressed in S4 and nobody gets him let him rest
They chose to follow Jaden despite warning them and trying to go alone. Half of them didn't really do anything until he snapped
The guitar solo tho 😂
*Lyric
Chillin out with the crew in the schoolyard
*footage show death and suffering
well chillin indeed
I forgot this many intense things happen in the show xD
Chillin' out alone in my bedroom,
Contemplating life 'til my own doom!
Get your existential crisis on!
so glad this just got recommended to me, it legit had me in tears. And then the goofy original at the end. what a masterpiece. this is art
edit: Just realised it starts with a dude jumping off a roof. beautiful
MANN I can't believe my video is getting recommended, i'm so stoked about it haha.- I'm SO glad I could deliver the laughs!
Next time someone tells me this show is too goofy, i am sending them this.
0:18 tough times, heart climbs
We'll take em on together
My friends, ALL DEAD!
📻 Yu-Gi-Oh GX:🕺🏼Generation X💃🏾📻
GAME ON! GETCHA GAME ONN!!
Id also like to mention that zane had a fking heart attack, which is why he lost. He literally was mocked by yubel for dying as they play, which is a first i think
He didnt even think of surviving, he moremor less committed suicide
made my day thank you so much
MANN im so glad to hear it! Im so thrilled this video is making so many people laugh haha
