It could be a myriad of things that cause that. Your computer is not strong enough. The program did not download properly. You have too many programs on your computer. The images U have are too large. Your computer is too old etc.

Tbh it looks complex with all those effects linked together but in reality it's not. That's because when you're passionate about something time, stress, and distractions all fade in the background and all that's left is interest, a state of flow, love and your own determination. I experienced the same thing when i was making beats in highschool.

I have a question. So you added a glowing/blooming effect on the crystal layer and character layer, but, this is a static pose. What if I wanted to make the character walk past the crystal and have the character glow relative to how close the character is to the crystal? If I just add a glow effect to the character's layer in the schematic like you have done in this tutorial, the character will glow at the same consistency regardless of how close he or she is to the crystal. How do I make the crystal act as a light source that affects other layers?
