Interesting. Thanks. Wikipedia says it opened in 1934 and started declining after 1975. It looks in rough shape but with some 1930s-style to mid-century paint, renovations, and landscaping, it could be really cool.
Hey worked there from 1994 to 1996. It was a hotel for a while and was owend by the same gentleman that owned the Coronado hotel in San Diego. That is not the club house by the pool but a bar and restaurant called the Bamboo room. The club house was to the left of the pool but was been torn down by the new owners of the site.
That’s really cool, I’ve read about the Bamboo club and sounds like it would’ve been a cool spot! Also, thanks for the clarification seems like it might’ve been a fun place to work. Any celeb sitings back in the day?
I wonder if the gate is always open, i want to visit since i live about 15 minutes away. Do you know what area the gate is near of? Is it by the road? I saw this from google map and i see its all gated
I’m not sure as it looks pretty active. You can always drive by but as it is now pretty warm careful for snakes! Tons of other cool places out your way. If you want any suggestions let me know!
I started working at this place when I was 15 years old with my older brother & many more workers that were employed in the Hotel Coronado in San Diego,Ca. We worked from 1977 to 1982 at the club . Was being restored by the owners of The Hotel Coronado after they bought it . We stay at the bungalows . But even at that time that we worked there it and was already in decline.
Good video. I love old Hollywood stuff too.
Good job❤
Me too! The history is so cool and I’m close enough to go to the locations. Thanks for watching!

It sure could. I really see it going back that way as they sprinkle some money on it and the desert continues to grow. Thanks for watching!

Where is that at in Palm Springs
It’s actually close to where you enter Palm Spring just a road down. It’s close to the airport on N. Indian Canyon
