loved this one. and yes iv all the parts laying around to make it. im putting this video into my favourites for when/ if i decide to make this. which i might. i already have one of those quick heating soldering guns but, there big an awkward to use in some situations. so i CAN see myself making this iron. The inverter and transformer are a lot of work for the small uplift in voltage you require; I wonder what power would have been possible if you simply connect the solder tip to the DC side ?
Tip is very conductive, u need output in the millivolt range.

can you please make a "generalized" video about "how to" convert a three-phase tig welder into a single-phase please ? and also how to change the standard accepted voltages a welder is designed to run off into the voltage you require for your country /power source. As there are countless used cheap, powerful
3 phase welders available online that no one buys because 3 phase is rare and too expensive to get installed in residential houses, surely you know of a way to do these things as it is known to be possible, yet there are zero videos on youtube to discuss
"how to:" do it an what to look for inside the welder,and what parts you need to buy to change it.

A soldering gun needs enough power 50 ÷ 100W, that battery has maximum 3.6Vx2.5Ax3 pieces = 27W, maybe at SMD the top can also be seen on the thin loop

Many batteries are capable of way more than 1C discharge current, especially e-cigs ones that tend to have a rating of 10C or more
It's an intermittent soldering iron. He's drawing a lot more current from the batteries, but only for a relatively short time.
batteries need to be high rate discharge capable like INR cells. or lipos that often capable of 10C or more
The batteries are specified for 30a each so a load of 90a (90x3.7=333w) would have been possible. In fact he showed it actually drawing 12.5a so 46w.

What about gutting a WELLER 8200D and put the electronics inside it but you will have to find a power trigger switch to replace the old switch.
