Awesome portrait. And personally I do like the brownish hint of those charcoals. But I feel like I need to get more familiar with charcoals first (I'm just about to transition from graphite to coal), before I can justify spending money on more (and more expensive) coals... and get better in drawing in general haha. Your channel helps me alot with both though, I will happily wait for your next video and your comparison with your other coals!
Charcoal is a wonderful medium, I like it more than graphite pencils. There are more videos on charcoal is coming, hope they will continue to benefits you.
I love this portrait so much! I just got my first Nitram charcoal and I am also new to charcoal in any form. If only I could one day achieve even an ounce of your talent, I would be so happy! You are amazing!
I got hold of Nitram charcoal a few days ago, and to be honest, I tried so hard to like them, but couldn't. I've been using charcoal for many years, but for some reason, the Nitram charcoal felt like it doesn't deserve the hype it receives, much less the high price. I found they're good for layering, but they DO NOT produce dark black or flow smoothly, which would allow you to achieve dramatic effects. I have since decided to stop using them and go back to Conte and other unbranded charcoal sticks.
Emad Moussa I see. Actually, I have used many other brands before, so far I like what Nitram can bring to the drawing. I will do a comparison video with a few brands I have in hand later to give a more in-depth view of each one.

Hello Donna, I think you can achieve more than you think if you can be guided well, and lost of practices.
