From experience I can tell you it's actually less work. The routine develops by itself over time, so it might seem more complicated but really that just kinda happens. And it's actually better for my hair too so win win in my book.

I was watching this live but just very busy so I HAVE to get this out 😂…perfect style maintaining hair protection for a shower is wrap it up in a terry towel then put a good quality plastic shower cap/bonnet on top of that. The humidity will absolutely NOT reach your hair slayyy

when you need to add to your calendar that you need to take a shower... you have problems.
Yea they take it way too far, all you have to do is think, “did I shower yesterday?” If yes you can skip a shower, and then if you do anything sweaty like going outside for more than an hour or going to the gym you should shower as soon as possible. I will also take a shower if I take a dump thats hard to clean. So using this method it ends up being closer to taking a shower like 75% of the days in a month.
Also, if skipping taking a shower, I always change into clean clothes, and I’m kind of OCD about handwashing, I probably wash my hands about 6times a day.

The hair I understand. But the body thing is WILD. Just cause you don’t “smell” doesn’t mean there isn’t dirt, dust and grime on your body. Sad thing is they’re stuck on their habits and won’t change it. QT you have good hygiene hahah
well, except when you ask dermatologists they usually say we shower too much. Every day showering destroys the protective layer on your skin microorganisms built and is in fact unhealthier. I do also shower everyday, because I learned it that way and just need it to feel fresh and good, but to me it seems ppl that think it's 'dirty' to shower not that often are more stuck in their habits that these girls.
@@BoredMarcusI think another thing to consider is how often you leave your house & going out interacting w/ other ppl. The more you do, of course it makes sense to shower more. If your asmon & hardly leave your house, then you can make trade offs imo lol
@@BoredMarcus the washing your body argument isn’t a one size fits all kind of thing. Most doctors have agreed that it’s okay to shower everyday for most people. As for others they should for other medical reasons. But the times I’ve heard Leslie says she hasn’t washed after being at festivals like Coachella and such you can’t argue that isn’t bad. I agree everyone is different and it depends on your activities for the day. But do think that just cause you don’t smell bad is a good reason to not bathe?
Showering every 48hours is actually a great habit.
However emily and leslie take it too far. For example Emily just recently did a mud run where she was literally swimming in mud, all she did was use an outdoor water hose to clean off most of the mud and then she didn’t shower that night. She went to the waterpark the next day and still had mud on her shorts. Leslie also has similar issues where she will do something outside and sweaty and not shower.
I think the best way to shower is to not shower if you showered the day before, but if you go outside in the heat for more than an hour, work out at the gym, or take a messy dump (for god sakes please stop using babywipes, they aren't flushable, they are designed to be thrown away in the trash with the diapers, its literally someones job to fish out your used babywipes from the sewer and they can clog the pipes) all those situations should immediately override your shower timing and you should take a shower as soon as possible.
In particular the reason why sweaty activities like the gym should always result in a shower is because the sweat will usually cause your skin to break out with pimples.
If you only stay inside, 3-4days without a shower could be fine from a health standpoint but the problem with 3 or more days is that it becomes hard to keep track of your showers and its basically impossible to build a healthy shower habit. Like Leslie and Emily have shown they can't really remember how many days they've gone without a shower so at that point they are basically only showering when they smell which is too far, that smell can make the bedroom or other things start to get sort of a gym locker sort of smell over a long period of time.

@@bftjoe It depends what you do, daily showers with very aggressive soap or shampoo is not healthy. Daily showers with less aggressive soap or a rinse are definitely healthy. Any less frequent than AT LEAST every other day is definitely not healthy.

For years I used to wash up at the sink with a washcloth and a bar of soap. I'd take 2 showers a week. One day wiping off the soap got so tedious that I realized it's way quicker to hop in the shower and rinse the soap off. Now I take 5-minute showers every day.

Tbh Leslie's showering habits are great. I'm one of the people who don't wash every day because it doesn't do good things for my skin. Showering is a one size fits all and you need to tailor your habits to fit your body and lifestyle. People love to talk shit about not bathing every day, but realistically it makes less sense to wash when you shouldn't/don't have to. The only reason people scream about showering every day is because that's what's considered socially acceptable and "the norm". Do what's good for your body and be clean. The two are not mutually exclusive.

ge n e s, everyone is always surprised to hear some people dont shower much, but hey they didnt know until they were told. Because some people literally just dont have bo, or very little. So for some people its normal. And as far as body chemistry goes, it is healthier for your skin not to attack it every day. I usually shower every day, or at least every day I go out. but its because I can start smelling quicker. But some people, they literally just dont smell. Its not poor hygiene, its body specific hygiene

I really wonder how they don't smell or look bad. If i don't shower in 2 days i smell awful, i can see the dead skin on my face and get dandruff. I have to shower every day to not get dandruff, smell bad or feel unfresh. Which is an annoyance because i take ages to shower. At max speed i can shower in 20 minutes. I can't do less and if I don't feel well i have taken up to two hours. It feels like such a waste of time but i know i have to.
I get dandruff if I shampoo everyday.
Leslie and Emily both have a specific gene disorder that is really common in East Asians called ABCC11(you can look this up). Which basically gives them non smelly sweat.
There is a reason why deodorants are almost nonexistent in countries like South Korea and Japan. Our sweat simply does not smell. However it is still very normal to shower daily to clean ourselves regardless of our smell.
