If I needed an interface I'd look at that pretty close. 👍
The thing is absolutely LOADED with Chinesium cheapness, metal cabinet notwithstanding. But it doesn't sound bad. That said, Bark, if you were reviewing used rolls of duct tape, I'd still watch. Keep up the good work!
I may have to do a used duct tape vid
@@ObscureMics Do it! 🤣
So glad this one worked out. Seems like a solid deal for sure.
For the money...absolutely
Damn I wish I saw this earlier. This doesn't sound bad and I'm digging the "assembled 80's electronic shop-project " look. The headphone's noisy/thin sound might give me some fits coz it'll make me keep checking the actual recording but overall not baaaad! It's currently under $50!
Holy smokes that’s cheap
Love your channel.
Appreciate that!
The thing that concerns me is the sloppy play on the knobs. That means they do not mind cutting corners that are readily obvious to the customers, which begs the question what corners did they cut inside the box? Obviously the headphone system was of secondary concern. I would have rather they dropped the extra mic input on the back and redirect those coins into the stuff that counts. But, yeah, that 32bit feature well under 100 USD is attractive.
Nailed that. No need for the 3rd jaack if they could've allocated those funds to the headphone amp
there is an operation in audacity to bring down the levels of your 32-bit recording, and it is there you see preserved data that would be clipped in 24 bit. I did not see you perform the operation in the video clip.
I am unaware of that operation sadly
"UR22 mk" sure sounds familiar...
Indeed ....and has better preamps than the steinberg
HMMMM I may pick one up. If I do I'll use your link. Looks Good. I left you a FB DM BTW.
32bit fixed btw.....oversight on my paart
Clean preamps and 32 bit float for just under $80 is impressive. So for a total of about $153 (without taxes) one could connect a couple of Fifine K669D(s) that with interface and one would end up with a pretty decent podcast recoding setup with 32 bit float. WOW. All that is needed is to throw in a couple of headphones into the mix…. Now, which headphones to pair with it? 🤔
Hmmmmmm good question there.
Status Audio CB-1 often go for 30 bucks, which is half priced. Good pair of cans. Super long detachable cable and secondary coiled cable included
Would you say it’s a worthy upgrade over the Teyun q-12? It’s about $55 in my area instead of $79
I already own the Teyun and have been looking into upgrading since it has interference issue and an occasional clicking sound
I would say yes. It's worth the price for sure
@@ObscureMics thanks for the reply!
For some reason the teacher from Southpark keeps repeating "You Are 22, mmmkay?" in my head.
I wish there was a reasonable way to endurance test this kind of stuff. Loose knobs and the capital C in MiC on the back give me a bit of the Harbor Freight buy-it-if-you're-only-using-it-once vibe.
Might be fun to just dip my toe in 32-bit; see if it's something I'd want to bother with for my next >$80 purchase.
I'll be honest....I just don't see the need for 32bit outside of field recording....so for me, it's cool...but unnecessary
Inquiring minds want to know, thanks Bark
it is trying with design and naming to suggest Yamaha equipment.
Still not better than Revelator io24 @ $99 USD
Be sure to check out the 2nd release after this one. Double video day!
@@ObscureMics I'll be there ... (hear it in your head Michael Jackson style)
Were you able to actually select a 384kHz sample rate? Your video shows only 44.1k. And are you in Windows, Mac, or Linux?
I did not see it as an option. 192 was highest
if it can send a fax then like it’s fine. who is mic funds ps ?
Micfuns....basically a rebrander
How about M Track Duo?
Honestly....I'd rather have this
asio drivers ????
Used on Mac...
384khz?! Really? Man im behind the times. Last i checked 192khz was maxed out for pro level stuff.
0 latency monitoring?! This might be a candidate for modding. Get some burr brown op amps in there. Might have a sleeper here.
I know I cracked up at that part. The Amazon listing itself literally says 192khz lol
Um 192khz is nothing. DsD records audio well over 11.2Mhz. Super audio cd's since the early 2000's has a sample rate of 2.8Mhz.
Wow its works with 32 bit
Shockingly
Too good to be true?!
Don't believe so!
This is 32 bit FIXED... not 32 bit FLOAT. Big difference there...
Ope....oversight for sure. Thanks!
@@ObscureMics...and by fixed he really means "integer" .
I haven't even seen the video that I'm already posting, just the title interests and intrigues me. I will edit my post later.
edit1:
I paused the video at 5 min 10 seconds... Seeing the front panel, I think I understood: two 16 bit clr and 196 khz... 2X16= 32 bits. 196khz X 2 = 392khz...
Well, I hope I'm wrong but it seems to me that your head seems too stoic for this product to be valid in its real technical specifications... You present to us a product that we must pay attention to, this type of product or the specification seems to be real but deceives us.
I continue the video
.Edit2:
F... It's real, at that price! I continue the video. I paused the video at 10 min 23 seconds.
Edit3:
Silence, delete the video, this product must arrive in Europe and I can buy it because with shipping plus taxes, it would be too expensive for me to buy it on Amazon us: more or less €108 tax and fees shipping included (117$)
I even wonder if I would find at this price (108€) a 32 bit floating in Europe...
End of edits:
I presented to you the way in which we discover this video to share with you a little, a little bit of the feeling when watching your videos.
Thanks even more.
Very cool! Now keep in mind I have posted a disclaimer that it is indeed 32 bit fixed rather than float.
Appreciate the real time thoughts
@@ObscureMics Maybe a good idea to pin a comment stating that disclaimer. Few people read the video descriptions... 🙃
