I aspire to be like lady Danbury when I grow up😌
who doesn't
Us 💅🤣🫂
Can we just recognize that even the QUEEN - who throughout the series always did her own thing - obeyed Lady Danbury without a word when she threw everyone out at the end? Lady Danbury is such a legend.
Lady Danbury was outspoken, feisty and didn't take no for an answer. She was respected by all. She came straight from the hip but yet she was distinguished.
@Justin Nold What’s so funny is both of you are bots. Reported.
“When I was a girl some centuries ago . . .” She kills me
She's the very definition of the "Cool Aunt"
I need a compilation of Lady Danbury and Lady Bridgerton being besties.
So.. season two
So the queen Charlotte series?
She's the bougie aunt I aspire to be!
you mean "cultured and educated".
High society would collapse into disorder without grande dames like Lady Danbury to manage it.
9:50 this line is so heart touching... she loves the Duke as he were her own son. I really appreciate this!
Lady Danbury can take all my money and ruin my credit. She lives in my head rent free.
Lady Danbury: Yes, hello, I’m here and now we can get the show started.
I really like the attention to period specific detail in Lady Danbury’s flashback outfits vs. present. You can tell the change from then to the regency period in the style of that blue dress she wears in the flashback with the dresses she wears in the present.
I'm Surprised that she didn't slap the face of the Duke of Hastings late father.
Oh my..I'm sure that was unheard of in the time that they are depicting.
@@nicim3730 unheard of because it's humiliating 😏
I wouldn't be surprised if she did and we didn't know about it!
If it wouldn't have killed her, I'm sure she would have
The Lady is a straight up boss!
She’s my fav of the whole show!
I need the whole bridgerton with these footnotes on the screen 😅🤣🤭🙃😘
They need to redo Bridgerton with these emotive captions! LAWD!
Simon smiling with Lady Danbury brings me so much happiness. They’re relationship is everything.
Also I love how she is famous in the ton. 😂
Favorite character by far if she dies or something Istg-
I loved Lady Danbury!
I love her wits
God I adore her *sigh*! We all wish to have such a guiding hand at our backs.
7:30 is one of her best scenes in my opinion
Being iconic? Please! She always is 😩❤️
LOVE...LOVE...LOVE LADY DANBURY!!!! She is FIERCE!!!!!
Lady Danbury is an icon!!!
Even the queen does as lady Danbury says lol..what a bada$$❤😂
I wish Ruby Dee could have lived to see her performance.
That’s not Ruby Dee
@@multifanderisverycrafty that's not what the OP wrote. READ
I loved her about the only unproblematic character of color in the serious everyone loves her lol
Lady Danbury, her son was young when when her husband died but he was a monster just like him
7:40 this scene is so much more poingiant after the Queen Carlotte show, since we know lady D was there to see it
Ooo, can you make an updated version of this for 2024? 🙏🏽✨️
She's the real lady whistledown, i can't believe that's penelope
Someone can explain?
Thank you! You and me both! I didn't wanna believe it was Penelope either 🙄
like it was pointed out in the show Lady Danbury has the social standing and financial independence that she can just say what she likes when she likes. Lady Whistledown *is* Penelope. However in the books it's not a big mystery, but it's also something you don't get told till Penelope stops writing her gossip column several books in. So like, it's a plot twist that it's Penelope, but it's not like a major plot trying to find out who she is like in the show. And also the hints were dropped along the way, it has to be someone in society who attends the parties, had to be someone who knew about Marina's baby, had to be someone who didn't attend the Queen's lunch party so it's someone in Penelope's house. Can't be her mother because Lady Featherington would never ruin her own reputation like that, nor would Marina, Penelope however was trying to find a way to stop Colin's marriage. Has to be Penelope (also can't be her sisters because they got zero character development). This Season One reveal is them avoiding the overhype and poor fall out that Gossip Girl suffered when they did their reveal. Get it in early and you don't disappoint people.
@@ArtemisScribe oh icic thanks for explained, i understand now✨
@@ArtemisScribe I have not read the books, so I appreciate your explanation as it explains the clumsiness of the reveal which I found the most dissatisfying aspect of the story. How it's done in the books makes much more sense. Frankly, Penelope as LW is problematic in one severely glaring respect. She is still a petulant (with good reason as she is overlooked all the time and her love is unrequited) child, not yet woman. Penelope in the action sequences is not even close to consistent with her Whistledown voice. It was the first thing I thought regarding the reveal and hoped it was a red herring.
Unfortunately, the voice (and I mean this in a literary sense) of Whistledown is seasoned, insightful and scathing which Penelope's is not. Lady Danbury on the other hand, does have the correct voice for the tone of the gossip sheet.
Quinn has stated that she created LW as a plot device--a means of dropping a great deal of information into the storyline without writing the action sequences required to establish what has happened. For example, there doesn't need to be a Berbrooke bastard child built into the action--it simply appears in the paper. That's a common enough device; however, that can get a bit clunky. With the changes between the books and the film version, that is even more than a little "off" in this instance.
@@lynda.grace.14 I always just assumed that Penelope was writing in the prose similar to the books she reads in part to make her sound older, and that writing anonymously just gave her more confidence than she had while talking to others as she is usually under scrutiny of her family and seen as a nobody.
audio is so low i can't hear anything but she is an icon
Simon listening to lady danbury is so canon
PLEASE DO SOMETHING WITH THE AUDIO!
♥️👏
Yea i don't read the books, cz that's far away from my country
Sorry my bad grammar
