I have, evidently, been using some of the Eureka principles this Spring to help my aging body get hips through the swing. Early on, I’ve seen a gradual, but noticeable improvement and my body is less “torsioned out”. A nice explanatory video, thank you.
I am a senior golfer with a persistent left foot injury. Yesterday after about 20 minutes trying this method on the range. I played a round using it on every shot. The decreased twisting of my left foot ankle and knee was incredible, and actually finished the round without my usual pain. It also meant that I was completing my swing properly, getting my chest facing the target. My strike was more consistent, with good direction and mostly a slight draw. According to my Zepp, my club head speed was on average 5mph faster than ever. My driver distance a was noticeably longer and the sound off the driver face was one I have never heard before. AMAZING!!
This is simply brilliant. I tried this with every club in bag and the improved striking was immediate. Before I did this I was hitting pulls and heavy shots and now all of a sudden the strikes are pure. No other changes. I wondered what the fix would be because I thought mechanically my swing was sound. A minor tweak to feet left and boom! Thanks so much!
I have been looking for a swing that was duplicatable with consistent results for a long long time. This has absolutely changed everything for me. I’ve never hit so straight and long and played so well. Finally found it. Thank you!! Eureka is right!!
Having suffered from arthritis and my second hip replacement last year, I can honestly say that the Eureka method has saved my game. The open hips creates the space to win back rotation through the ball and getting the belt buckle to face the target. An arms dominated swing has been replaced by a rotational swing - ball speed up, the right side of the course removed, handicap beginning to move back in the right direction. Thank you so much for extending my golfing enjoyment!!
Can’t wait to give Eureka a try Steve! Played 18 on Monday using thumbs up, thumbs down. Worked very well! No wondering where hands should be for sure. Thanks Steve! Well done
Just used the eureka method and am hitting the ball ore solid and much longer with what seems like little effort. I’m 75 and feel reborn. Thanks for revealing this 3 cane method. By the way Steve, you are one funny guy, really appreciate your wit. Don
Eureka golf is very good, allowing golfers to get the body to do the right thing at the right time. The only other thought I have is swinging my hands fast so they get to the ball before the clubhead thus creating the forward angle required to trap the ball and then turf. Steve your instruction is always good and delivered with a smile, great stuff.
you know I love Eureka Steve. Recently found that my best strikes occuring when I keep my head on or slightly behind ball through impact. Yes, everything else goes forward/around by the pulling of the front side, But when head stays back until impact, getting much cleaner strike and better results.
Ok... I took the Eureka concept into our fall scramble, and as much as I felt uncomfortable opening my stance with that much flare, the quality of contact simply cannot be denied. Both driver and irons are FAR more accurate and I hit the irons (Mizuno Hot Metals) about 15 yards farther with glorious flight. 60 years old and only now am I seeing the consistency I’ve always longed for. Thank you, Steve.
I tried it tonight at the local sim. Worked great. I did have to stand 50% less open to hit it clean for me but wow I've never hit it so straight and it added yards. Cheers Steve.
Many years ago when Lee Trevino was in his prime Golf Digest did a tutorial of his swing. The cover story read something like “Point left, Swing right, Walk straight!” That sounds like Eureka! Trevino was one of the best of his time. I just started using Eureka and it has transformed my ball striking. Now, if I could only putt!!!
All advanced golfers swing in to out because of the arc of the swing so this is nothing new. (the rod near the ball). The not as common part is using open stance for all swings combined with slightly weak grip. Then experiment a bit as to ball position to cause bottom of arc to be slightly in front of ball. Most books would say this would cause a fade, but if it straight with only small fade that would be a good shot. Also, the wrist follow-through will dictate final spin on the ball so could be square to slight draw also. A few variables for a golf swing which is why there are golf instructors.
I'm not sure if this comment will be useful to anyone but here goes, I've recently come back to the game after about six years away, and as is to be expected I was all over the place, anyway to cut a long story short, I started structuring my practice through Steve's Eureka methods and at 59 years of age I don't think I've ever struck the ball as solid. Big thanks Steve.
I have been practicing this pretty hard and seem to be smashing it at the range. Playing in a little tourney on Saturday, so looking forward to it. I have noticed that making sure my left wrist is flat, or slightly bowed, at impact, ties the whole thing together. Thanks...Steve!
Thanks for the refresher video Steve, watched it yesterday then shot my best score in while!! In fact since I'd forgotten to use Eureka, around a month ago 🙄 I'm a scatterbrained golfer who keeps forgetting what he should be doing!! Thanks again Steve. Neil.
Greetings from Wisconsin Steve. I was having serious issues pushing the ball (not slicing more straight pushing) to the right. Great center face contact resulting in long drives but big big booming pushes. So, I worked very hard on trying to draw the ball with moderate success. I had seen your Eureka method videos before and the contradictions of feet, shoulder and path made sense to me so I gave Eureka a real chance. My first trip to the range was quite eventful and I improved with regard to the pushes right. I went back to the range today and hit over 120 balls using Eureka and never, repeat never, pushed one to the right. By really exaggerating my path right I was able to hit consistent draws with repeatable results. Mostly however I hit the ball straight and long. I kept waiting for something to fall apart thinking "it just cannot be this easy", in fact it was. So, my friend, I am a believer. I'll play my first actual competitive round of golf using Eureka this week and I look forward to it with anticipation. I'll let you know how goes but please know that I am very thankful to you for revealing this method, it works. I look forward to more great content and thank you very kindly for helping me improve my driving. All the best to you and your family! Rick M Wisconsin USA.
Been playing golf on and off for most of my life, I didn't realise I was using Eureka for my short game all this time as thats how it was taught to me when I was younger. Using Eureka off the tee and for fairway shots, I never even considered but it has improved my consistency tenfold and am now shooting lower scores and hitting more greens in regulation. Massive thank you for efforts in capturing this technique and I am sure many club golfers are benefiting from it. Still have to master the Eureka fade and draw though but that will come with more practice. Your channel deserves more subscribers than it has currently. I think if you mixed in some on course eureka lessons with similar content to "just your average golfer" "Mrshortgame" and a bit of slick editing you will be up there with MeandMyGolf and Rick Shields.Good luck Steve.
I'm new to your channel and love it so far. Regarding the Eureka swing; I've been taught the the open footline leads to a cut, fade, or worse, the slice. Your swing makes sense the get the stance starting, shoulders following, adding power. For me, it looks like the hand path would naturally follow the feet/shoulders. Help me understand more!
Watching in 2021. I've been playing for 35 years. Over the winter worked hard with instruction and practice. Began the spring playing off of a 5 index. Primarily because at times swinging the driver was my Achilles. I'd been struggling for about a month or so and had been a follower of Steve and had seen eureka when he first started with it. He's gone very in depth about how it works with the body. I don't need to think about that on the course. I recently made the switch to this setup and swing and it works 100%. It allows for a free, powerful and effortless swing. I only wish I would have started this 3 years ago. I was getting to the point where I considered quitting golf because I couldn't correct the swing issues and I love the game. This is a complete game changer and has reinvigorated my love for golf. All I can say to anyone on the fence is take it to the range and give it a try. And Steve, if you happen to see this, thank you very much.
Its certainly been an eureka moment for me. I’ve played golf for over 40 years and like most mid- hcp golfers, struggled with the ‘over the top move’. Practised the eureka swing in the garden yesterday before playing my best round of golf for months. Many thanks Steve, keep them coming👏
Went to the driving range before work today. Tried out your eureka method. It works! Balls had a nice draw. Not as good with driver but irons were a definite improvement over my old swing. Thanks Steve!
This lockdown iv took an opportunity to fine tune, started playing with an open stance because I struggle opening/turning my hips hence get gloopy as body stalls. Hitting out of an open stance I naturally turn hips easier and more naturally better strike and low point. Funnily thou I was watching a video on Rory Mcilroy the other day and he said he opens his stance with drive as it helps pre set his impact position 😊😊
Steve you have so much content it takes as many as 5 views to get it all in. 2 things turned into a rapsody of information. Awesome as usual. I am relating to your feels. Jim B
Have come across your channel nice work. I have just started to get back into Golf it seems to me that your system has a lot of similarities to Mr Hogan. From geometry alone makes a lot of sense.
Steve you are a golf genius, went to the range yesterday and worked with this. my swing felt so natural and even the course pro who was watching says "well I can't get you hit the ball any better!" Great technique reminds me of watching Trevino swing.
This is basically The Tom Lehman Golf Swing - one of the purest hitters of the golf ball ever - and you might argue, it is he who lay the groundwork for the next generation type of golf swings we are seeing from long and strong golfers like DJ & Koepka. While Lehman played a draw, just as your video shows, DJ & Koepka play hold off fades because they don't need the distance - but all 3 golfers play with a club face that, in the old days, would be considered shut, but are really being squared to their back & swing plane as early as possible so that can rotate as fast as possible through impact for power and not have to worry about squaring the clubface late during impact that generates erratic shot shapes. If you take this same setup and add check points for having the club's toe down (square to your tilted spine) at first shaft parallel and then again on the downswing at shaft parallel you can basically forever rid yourself of the weak slice. My only comment about standing that open for less flexible older golfers is the real potential of dramatically reducing hip turn on the backswing to generate needed power - but as a practice drill, replicating Tom Lehman's Swing can only be a good thing
Hey Steve, could you do a vid on how you would adjust your aim on course when you have a ball lie above or below your feet. What adjustments would you make if you had to hit a fade or slice? Cheers
Thanks for the vid Steve. I tried this a couple times at the range and it worked beautifully. It took me a bit of time to get the feel of it but once I got the hang of it I was the hitting center club constantly and was getting a nice little baby fade. I played today with limited success but I believe this method will be the start of lower scores. I can tell you that it has cured my over the top swing and also cured the occasional shanked ball
found this video this morning.. went to range hit 150 balls with this set up.. took a few to get it because im use to being square but i went through the bag and hit it well so i will be working on this for awhile.. one thing i have is the driver.,.. is it the same and i still hit some heavy shots but not many .. thanks Steve
I didnt realize this was a "thing"? Ive been experimenting with somthing similar and really like and agree with everything in this vid! Ive struggled with hanging back on my right side and flipping my hands at the ball since i dont get a chance to play and practice as often as i use to. For me...a fade is about a 10 yard draw!!!! Trying to eliminate the left side of the course and i am having success off the tee, but cant cut my irons into the green or into par 3's. Going to watch your other videos and work on it! Thank you!
Thanks for these Eureka videos,i have always had a problem hitting draws until you posted these. I still mostly play a high cut just because of the control, but i now can hit the Eureka draw when i need to get to a left pin or around a dog leg.It has helped my game a great deal!
Hey Steve, Two questions on the Eureka method (1) How do you hit a fade ? (2) Do you use the Eureka set up the same way to hit woods using your woods swing “ball in middle and club shaft straight “ ? Thank much and keep up the great content!
Hello Steve i had the hip replacement years ago and never really got back to playing the same just been on the range i tried the Eureca brilliant i just wasted the last ten years many thanks Ken
I changed to eureka with the driver only last year. It's still a work in progress but huge improvement from the slice I had. Been implementing it into my irons about 50% of the time so far. Steve would be interested to know what Dan thought of it at the YT golf day
It looks to me that this swing also creates a lot less stress on the lower back and hips. I have had my left hip replaced in March of this year and am about to have my right hip replaced as well in a few weeks, looking forward to seeing how this swing will help me to get some of my lost distance back as well as improving my ball striking with my mid and long irons.
Will defo try this Steve- my swing path is similar but didn't figure on the shoulder line which may help the block right. Will let you know how it goes! Thanks for the tip pal!
Hi Steve- i tried out the Eureka method and it works brilliantly for me! Really makes a big difference in terms of ball strike, alignment just everything! Straight down the middle every time! Thanks again so much!
Can you please let me know the ball position at open stance, , finding difficulty in aligning to the target, ie I am hitting the ball to the right of the target
It would be good to see this from different angles, and to see the ball flight and result, maybe comparing you setting up in a more square stance to show what difference it makes, Also, could you explain hip position in relation to feet and shoulders, should they be in align with your feet or shoulders, or somewhere in between. I'll be honest, Steve, I've tried to do it, I feel awkward and my body feels twisted at set up........help needed please
Steve just so I am not making another mistake with my setup and compounding problems with my stance, can you please confirm that the sholder line is the target line. Do you have an earlier video that demonstrates the basics.
Hi Steve, watched the vid and I’m really interested to give this a try on the range but 1st could you answer a couple of questions please? 1 what’s the ball position in your stance ? 2. Is the clubface facing the target ? Many thanks in advance
Hey Steve, never tried Eureka, but did give your blur technique a go at the range on Saturday, I hit it literally as good as I've ever seen ANYONE hit it!!!! Then played shite in comp on Sunday 🙈 maybe confidence was too high 😂😂😂
Hi Steve. I use this technique. I’ve toyed with it on and off over the last 43 years I’ve been playing golf. Now I use it for all my iron shots but I’ve been to chicken to use it with the driver and woods. My questions are: can you (or have you) done a Eureka video for woods, and my second question is why haven’t incorporated one of those fancy ball tracking devices that allows us to see your ball flight and distance. Love your videos. Someday I’ll stop by your golf course to say hi.
Steve Johnston PGA I played a round today using Eureka with my driver. I didn’t have time to hit any range balls so I went for it cold. By the third hole I started hitting a lovely draw. It was great. For me the most critical part to striking the ball on the correct line is to double check that my shoulders are lined up towards the line I want. I sometimes get lazy and end up left of my intended target which I suspect means that my shoulders were too far left. Love Eureka.
Steve, I started using this practising and started hitting it brilliant. Found that I have to aim face slightly right of target and swing right. If I don’t I get a duck hook does this sound right.
Hi Steve Interesting concept. What is missing though that we need to get via the Eureka subscription? Can you give an idea of what else the paid content teaches. The danger here I guess is the shoulders. Forget to square those and I'm in the trees [no change there then 😁]. Can you point me to the right place to help me decide if this is for me. Thanks.
I've been playing middle position on 6/7 through wedges and somewhere between left armpit and middle sternum (i.e. about where the logo on your polo shirt would be) on everything else including driver. I used to hit my driver off of the inside of my left foot/heel. Now it is a couple of inches to the right.
I find Eureka is working for me but with the addition of a left knee flex slightly more than the right. I think its because my weight is more to the left throughout the swing, like stack and tilt.
I am now enjoying golf now striking the ball better than ever cheers Steve
Thanks Steve. Good humor and excellent instruction. 70 years old and striking ball better than ever
I have, evidently, been using some of the Eureka principles this Spring to help my aging body get hips through the swing. Early on, I’ve seen a gradual, but noticeable improvement and my body is less “torsioned out”. A nice explanatory video, thank you.

According to my Zepp, my club head speed was on average 5mph faster than ever. My driver distance a was noticeably longer and the sound off the driver face was one I have never heard before. Tried the swing for first time today and shot 77!!!!
Do you intentionally lose the tension between upper left arm and left pec after impact to allow the left arm to follow the target line?
Don
Steve I have been practicing your swing method for 3 months and over the last 4 weeks I made 2 holes in one. Awesome ball contact and direction.
Eureka golf is very good, allowing golfers to get the body to do the right thing at the right time. The only other thought I have is swinging my hands fast so they get to the ball before the clubhead thus creating the forward angle required to trap the ball and then turf.
Are you still using this swing method now ....just curious?
I tried it tonight at the local sim. Worked great. I did have to stand 50% less open to hit it clean for me but wow I've never hit it so straight and it added yards. Cheers Steve.
Many years ago when Lee Trevino was in his prime Golf Digest did a tutorial of his swing. The cover story read something like “Point left, Swing right, Walk straight!” That sounds like Eureka! That’s brilliant. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This is outstanding Steve. It is all i can say except for just brilliant.

Eureka method ----beautifully aligns in some areas with Lee Trevino's Straight Edge swing!
Steve you have so much content it takes as many as 5 views to get it all in. 2 things turned into a rapsody of information. Awesome as usual. I am relating to your feels. Jim B
Eureka has fixed my hip-sliding, chicken-winging, wrist-breaking, weak-assed homemade golf swing. Now I'm connected and solid thru impact! Amazing! Thanks Steve!
Tim Caldwell great Tim. Keep at it✅
Always enjoy your videos Steve.
Have come across your channel nice work. I have just started to get back into Golf it seems to me that your system has a lot of similarities to Mr Hogan. From geometry alone makes a lot of sense.

Works me.Been of form since I had two heart attacks in one month. This makes it easy when your stamina is limited.
Another great informational video Steve. I am fascinated by the eureka swing concept
BIG OGGIE GOLF cheers mate!👍
Hey Steve, could you do a vid on how you would adjust your aim on course when you have a ball lie above or below your feet. What adjustments would you make if you had to hit a fade or slice? Cheers
Interesting method , will try it out. Thanks Steve
I have all the Eureka series and it’s brilliant Steve. Just peeved that access expires after a year…….

found this video this morning.. went to range hit 150 balls with this set up.. took a few to get it because im use to being square but i went through the bag and hit it well so i will be working on this for awhile.. one thing i have is the driver.,.. is it the same and i still hit some heavy shots but not many .. thanks Steve
Excellent warm up before play. Thank you for excellence tutorial
Giving it a go this weekend...thanks Steve
I like the little "that's class" comment you made after one of the shots! Made me chuckle. Really interesting concept. Can't wait to try it out.
Like your style bud
That is absolutely brilliant simple science love it , i’m now going in my gym to give it a whirl 👍🏼🏌🏼♂️
Go for it Dave!
Thank you!
If watched Tom Lehman play during career on PGA tour, proof on concept certainly evident👍🏻
THANKS LARRY!
Thanks for these Eureka videos,i have always had a problem hitting draws until you posted these. I still mostly play a high cut just because of the control, but i now can hit the Eureka draw when i need to get to a left pin or around a dog leg.It has helped my game a great deal!
This has helped me get out of a major slump!!
Hey Steve, Two questions on the Eureka method (1) How do you hit a fade ? (2) Do you use the Eureka set up the same way to hit woods using your woods swing “ball in middle and club shaft straight “ ? Thank much and keep up the great content!
You really should go here www.eurekagolfswing.com/ and the “ball position & Shot Shaping” series will answer your questions.
You won’t regret it👏🏻👏🏻👍
Steve, great insight! John 3:16
Hello Steve i had the hip replacement years ago and never really got back to playing the same just been on the range i tried the Eureca brilliant i just wasted the last ten years many thanks Ken
4 years later - even these first lessons were pure!!!
Amen 🙏🏻
I changed to eureka with the driver only last year. It's still a work in progress but huge improvement from the slice I had. Been implementing it into my irons about 50% of the time so far. Steve would be interested to know what Dan thought of it at the YT golf day
Does this work with the Driver? Thanks..
Steve, I simply like watching you crush the ball. Makes me think can do it too :)
Hi Steve great video's mate , been using Eureka for a couple of months and I'm playing my best golf for years cheers mate .
Hi Steve, i’m confused about ball position at address irons and driver ?
Great sense of humour; golf should be fun after all!
Thanks for going over the key elements again.
Well done
Not fully commited to Eureka yet but I use it and ball goes closer to my feet target line straight so I use it, ball striking has improved 100%
Very nice
When i do this way, I seem to pull my arms and club left of target because of hips are open in downswing and i see pull hooks. How do i stop this?
sweet spot sound but we need a straight on and rear view to see set up and ball position
Can you please let me know the ball position at open stance, , finding difficulty in aligning to the target, ie I am hitting the ball to the right of the target
Interesting!
Steve, can you specifie the ball position ? i'm a little confused with it! Thank's
Steve why do I slice my driver with open stance swing. I either pull it or slice the ball.
Just started the Eureka process. I’ll do some digging but wonder if ball position changes with Eureka?
Yeh, it’s in the “ball position & shit shaping” series 👍
shit shaping series 😂
It would be good to see this from different angles, and to see the ball flight and result, maybe comparing you setting up in a more square stance to show what difference it makes, Also, could you explain hip position in relation to feet and shoulders, should they be in align with your feet or shoulders, or somewhere in between.
I'll be honest, Steve, I've tried to do it, I feel awkward and my body feels twisted at set up........help needed please
Hello Steve do you have also solutions with EUREKA when playing up and down hill , ball above or under ?
Does the Eureka swing work on uneven lies uphill downhill below feet above feet?
Yeh, the only alteration is ball position
So. This would help w over the top movement? I pull shots w irons and driver.
Steve just so I am not making another mistake with my setup and compounding problems with my stance, can you please confirm that the sholder line is the target line. Do you have an earlier video that demonstrates the basics.
To find the shoulder alignment click here www.eurekagolfswing.com/ and go to the “Iron Swing Series”, it has all the answers in depth👍
Hi Steve, watched the vid and I’m really interested to give this a try on the range but 1st could you answer a couple of questions please?
1 what’s the ball position in your stance ?
2. Is the clubface facing the target ?
Many thanks in advance
Does this work with the driver
What about the hips? Do they stay on feet line?
What’s the angles off that center stick?
I was at the course today and hit a few, but my ball flight only went true when I was at about 45 degrees
Danny Gee ua-cam.com/video/-1I-nW9xKBU/v-deo.html
Danny Gee I have a flightscope but replacing it this week with trackman so will have eureka on that shortly.
Love Eureka.
does the Noodle 24.99/mo subscription give you access to all content if the video set?
Yes it gives you everything and all new content. 👍👍
Steve, I started using this practising and started hitting it brilliant. Found that I have to aim face slightly right of target and swing right. If I don’t I get a duck hook does this sound right.
Can you let us know position of golf ball
"That was quality" Brilliant
Hi Steve Interesting concept. What is missing though that we need to get via the Eureka subscription? Can you give an idea of what else the paid content teaches. The danger here I guess is the shoulders. Forget to square those and I'm in the trees [no change there then 😁]. Can you point me to the right place to help me decide if this is for me. Thanks.
Thanks for your content. Just wondering about the ball position when using this method?
I've been playing middle position on 6/7 through wedges and somewhere between left armpit and middle sternum (i.e. about where the logo on your polo shirt would be) on everything else including driver. I used to hit my driver off of the inside of my left foot/heel. Now it is a couple of inches to the right.
Can hear the quality of the strike.
Awesome videos
I find Eureka is working for me but with the addition of a left knee flex slightly more than the right.
I think its because my weight is more to the left throughout the swing, like stack and tilt.
Hey Steve, did you enjoy you tube golf day? What did you shoot? Did Lloyd join you?
Thanks Steve. Hitting the ball solid with this technique but very low especially with driver. Any ideas? Thanks
Wouldn’t it promote a fade ball flight?
This man is a genious
I will give it a try. Let you know
