I cried. It was amazing seeing California again, and seeing hills reminiscent to that of the East Bay. Thank you. -- Plus, it reminds me of the Twizzlers 'Charlene Ava' version of the song, which they played during a break of the Packers-Vikings game. - It was a joyful and infectious video.

Though the singer is suggesting (as did National Lampoon's Vacation) that "Holiday Road" is about going on holiday, the true meaning is divine as the song represents an acknowledgment that it is a long and difficult road for us to reach "the Holy Day". Religious and other motifs are on display in the video that accompanies the Lindsey Buckingham version, and the "Jack be nimble" lyric - a reference from and to a British nursery rhyme - reflects a game whereby people used to try and make agile jumps across (as close as possible to) a candle flame, without putting it out. The message is clear that we must try to live full, agile lives on Earth without putting out the flame of spirituality in us offered (ultimately if we choose to accept it) by the Holy Spirit.
Given that background, it is no surprise that this song is widely viewed as "feelg(o)od". Quite often such songs are accompanied by unsuitable videos, as the Dark One would prefer to take the edge of divine music and lyrics, but this is NOT the case with the Lindsey Buckingham video. Here, Carly (whose name actually means "free woman" (while Bracco means "hound")) SEEMS to have kept things simple but...
She has difficulty with packing for the trip (don't we all?), and that just fits in with the idea that preparing for our spiritual journey is tough. This alternates with her dancing to restore the joy at the whole prospect. Soon she is on the road and seeing the famous skyscrapers of LA including the US Bank Tower (as destroyed in the movie Independence Day) - which was originally known as the "Library Tower" for very complex reasons. Since she passes GTO Auto Glass (which has the rather beautiful address number of 1001 - binary code for 9, or September), we know she is passing MISSON Road. In the city of the ANGELS. Past Buena Vista (the Beautiful View). She passes Wendy's which was originally named after the owner's daughter, but the name Wendy was mainly invented by Sir JM Barrie for the character Wendy DARLING in the story about the boy who never grew up called Peter Pan. The main reason for that name was to rhyme with a child's friend ("friendy-Wendy"). Remarkably "Six Flags" (with the Magic Mountain and Gift Shop) is a reference to the Six Flags that have flown over Texas (but Tejas - the original name for the state - means FRIENDS). So we have a library for learning, repairs, mission, angels, views, and a double dose of friends. At exactly 1:00 she passes a "Knight" on the road
She sits in seat 21, a far-from-random number as 2 and 1, but also 3x7 or 7x3, and indeed 1+2+3+4+5+6.
At the hotel, she twices twice to enter the Holiday room, fails and dances, tries twice more and then demonstrates by gymnastics how nimble she is at jumping - and it turns out that the shirt she is wearing is from ... Peter Pan!!! This is in fact the Cathy Rigby version, after the Olympic gymnast who played Peter Pan for 30 years and had a long struggle with eating disorders (12 years of bulimia). As Wikipedia tells us: "In 1974, the producers of a theater-in-the-round version of "Peter Pan" offered Rigby the title role. Rigby commented that she was "scared to death" during rehearsals; only 20 and just a year into "retirement," she had no idea what she would be doing with the rest of her life when the role came along. To her surprise, she discovered that she enjoyed playing Peter Pan"
Carly now tries again and finally gets the green light.
When a song has its divine inspiration and influence, the things touched by it also have meaning, and are NOT just random or by chance...
