- The Old Timers say that the biggest bass always bite during a Solar Eclipse. Brandon and I play a little fishing game to see who can catch the most bass in a pond during the total solar eclipse of 2017. This fishing video will also show you some fishing tips the next time you are bass fishing in the eclipse..:) lol.. Hope you enjoyed this silly little fishing challenge and I have to say that other than the fishing, the Eclipse was a bit anti-climatic. I guess we will wait until the next one in a few years.

I went during the eclipse as well. You were right about the color all the fish I caught today were really dark ( not typical for my area). I caught 6 today , 2 early and 4 right when it was going dark . Caught those 4 off one brush
pile in about a 5 minuet period, Soon as the sun came back out they shut off .
I liked seeing you fish the banks. I would like to see more bank fishing every now and then

Ahhh fishing poles in a sedan. I fished every single day for years with a Nissan Maxima. That’s exactly where I stuck my poles. 7-8 rod and reels tackle boxes everywhere. I mastered sticking those poles in there. That car took me through all kinds of sketchy private back roads.

Yep. That's how we do it when we don't have a boat, and want to get to those donkeys. We treck through the tall grass and fish from the muck. Knee deep in the swamp. Nice fish on number 7 or 8. But check the footage, I think number 6 was almost as big as Brandon.
