if this monkey has lived in captivity her whole life, she'll NEVER be free, for her own safety. Animals that live in captivity for a certain period of time can no longer be safely released into the wild as they don't have survival skills.
i disagree, but before you hate me i would say that out of the current people who own any type of monkey probably %99.5 of them should have never been allowed so much as a gold fish, and there are now thousand of monkeys out there that will be dumped. this is what happens when they are dumped
And to Tom Wood who thinks he is the monkey expert here, if you knew anything about capuchins you would know that the video of the capuchin seeing his "brother" after the man being gone for a year is not unusual at all and is in fact very common greeting behavior for a capuchin. Someone can be gone a week and they can act that way...or even just for a day in some cases...it is greeting behavior and it is not the way everyone would like to pretend it is and assign these human behaviors to the monkey. I am sure he really is happy to see the guy but it is not something special and unique to this monkey and this guy.
lol yeah she lived in captivity her whole life and you hope she lives free someday? don't you realize at this point she would starve to death in the wild? That would be the worst thing for her.
Johnnie JungleGuts You said that she is very old and I am very curious..how old was she approximately in this video? If she is really old then she looks awesome for her age...so I was just wondering what "really old" was? :)
I am wondering the same thing... She does not look "very old" to me. In fact she looks like she is still a juvenile or teen. Her size and healthy appearance do not indicate that she is "very old" Her nose bridge and brow ridge show none of the signs of aging or illness and her hands and fingers are agile and accurate. The only fur loss I see is at the base of her skull and that looks almost as if she had been kept on a neck leash and it wore the fur away. I heard other Cappies chattering in the background. One sounded quite upset. Llorona's mother perhaps?
She can't go back in the wild the other monkeys would kill her in about 5 minutes or she would die not knowing how to be a real monkey always looking for a human to feed her and she wouldn't know how to forage cause she thinks food comes from your pocket and the first person that she ran up to thinking they have a treat for her might kill her. I don't like monkeys in captivity and feel sorry for them but it's to late for Llorona she has to stay at Parque Machia for the rest of her life.
I agree. Unfortunately humans just don’t know how to leave these kinds of animals in their natural habitat. They want “exotic” pets and these poor beautiful creatures have to suffer for it.
Dogs made terrible pets when they were wild. But our ancestors persevered. Monkeys in the wild don't live very long. You release her and she'll be dead in a week.
Dogs were never wild, they evolved from wild animals. What makes an animal wild is that they have survival instincts. Monkeys are released all the time and do just fine.
.....they dont forget you over time _video this video broke my heart..though it seemed totally above the head of the people shooting this horrible video (everyone should be made to watch rtbhis as there are many more videos..dont listen to the idiots talking...this is heartbreak and why i am saying that some primates need humans they dont know how to be monkeys and we shouldn't force them
Her eyes are so soulful and expressive. The instant I looked at her eyes she stole my heart.
MADE ME WANT TO GUT THE VERMIN ALIVE !!!!
Очень жаль что эта обезьянка на цепи у нее такая милая мордашка она помоему уже никуда не убежит от тебя
13 anos com essa qualidade de imagem? O cara é um viajante do tempo
I have never had a monkey as a pet nor do I know of anyone who has. We have 3 dogs and that's enough for us.

Johnnie JungleGuts
i didn't know that. you learn something every day.
Yes she can. It's happened before, ask Jane Goodall
She has the cutest face.I don't like monkeys at all ,but she is precious.
I don't mind Capuchin monkeys , but those macaques are like tree rats and I can't stand them.
I fucking hate brendas, but im still messaging on one of their posts xD
sooooooooo adorable...I love their little facial expressions
Omg that screaming I could not stand it in the home
I like that attitude because Capuchin's should not be pets!
Beautiful

The best groomers in the world
How can you chain her up. Teacher to live in Cambodia they are dependent on food water from humans. She would have a better chance.
Perché è legato?

Manter o bichinho acorrentado e um absurdo, devia ,ser acorrentado também,para sentir a mesma sensação 🙌😤
The monkey is tied up and some little animals are crying desperately in the background. Very bad things
