    I am also working on a Boston Whaler 13 (1968). I am learning as I go, so this will be helpful. Thank you

    Man where were you 4 years ago lol, i had the same boat that needed fiberglass patch work, that i gave up on and donated to a school to be used as a sand box. This looks like an interesting project!

    Mine is a '71 13' also, I hope to use it as a shore boat after I get it done, but I think I'll use it for awhile first and watch your progress...

    Looking forward to seeing the progress. Are you going to epoxy the hull or gel coat? Im doing my 63' whaler and im on the fence to go polyester or epoxy. What fairing compound are you going to use?

    if the foam is wet, in what way can it be dry?

    • @StoneBrokeAdventure
      @StoneBrokeAdventure  Рік тому +1

      I honestly have no idea. Luckily mine was dry as a bone. I have seen several people cut out the floor and dig it all out re foam. I have also wondered if a vacuum pump would work wrap the whole boat in a vacume bag and pump it down for a few days but that would be an experiment .

    Rubrail kit for a 13' Classic is $275 +tax and shipping. Dont use screws. Rivets are best. And get a heat gun.

    Save yourself some time , find someone who can soda blast the paint off. I redone my 1966 13 whaler and I must have used about 300 pieces id sandpaper

      It sat under the oak trees for several years and looked rough. I was a little overwhelmed at first but its coming along nicely
