- SARINA KOGA DOMINATED Against Brazil in Women's VNL 2024 !!! Sarina Koga (古賀 紗理那, Koga Sarina, born May 21, 1996) is a Japanese volleyball player who won the bronze medal at the 2013 U23 World Championship with Japan's U23 national team. She also competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Women's volleyball. Now, she is the senior national team captain.

We often forget to give credit to Ishikawa, she is awesome and also one of the biggest hitters in the Japanese team.

I love Sarina Koga and I feel so sad her team did not do well in the Paris Olympics '24. But it wasn't her fault. Even though she's retired, but I hope she changes her mind and makes a comeback. She is so young and has so many more good years left to play at the highest level. And there will be another Olympics in 4 short years. She deserves an Olympic medal!!

I love Koga, but i think Wada deserves a highlight since she performed really well on that game. Koga was contained by Brazilians during the 1-3 sets, but they unable to guard well Wada. Anyway, congrats Japan ❤

Porque solo pasan los puntos de Japón?
I think wada deserved the highlight more. She was the problem that brazil could not solve. Koga played well defensively but her attack efficiency suffered a lot as she kept on getting dug or blocked. There were many moments in the match where japan could have pulled away with a break point but couldnt because sarina's attacks kept on getting dug, sometimes twice or thrice in a row. Nevertheless i still support team japan and both players are amazing, punching way above their weight ( and height!) that the commentators could not help but wonder - how could such small players just over 1.7m tall bring so much fire power???
